I said this will be fun eating at restaurants! She laughed and said: no it's an exercise!! Haha!! We all laughed! Check ups are important. And the lovely Sandra at reception will be more than happy to book you in! 38 years I've been coming here. Dr. Goodman said: you have good teeth, they'll outlast you! She told me that I needed a crown. I asked Neda, the receptionist to send a request to my insurance company for a predetermination. After waiting almost three weeks I called the insurance company and they said there was no request submitted. I called Neda and asked her to do it which she finally did but she offered no apology for her mistake. I am very disappointed with the treatment I received this time at Dr. Goodman's office. I shall no longer return to her practice.

This place is just as effective as the transit system with dentists and hygienists shuffling back and forth between operatories. Dr. Khanna is wonderfully competent, friendly and talkative. Her first name is Mita and she told me how she was raised in Burlington and completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at McMaster and we cross-referenced people we know until we hit on some mutual acquaintances - small world. There was some dental work that happened too, but it's not a big part of my memory and so overall the whole affair was a good experience.

"hmn I shouldn't be asleep right now because I have another commitment and I just can't put my finger on it... and it's not work, it's something else..." And then you realize that you are supposed to be at the dentist getting your teeth cleaned in 3 minutes and that's why you feel like you shouldn't be sleeping off a mid-week bender? No? That hasn't happened to you? Then... my bad (I guess). Long story short - I called the dentist and said I would be late and they were totally cool about it. Then I showed up (looking/smelling like a hobo) and they were totally cool about it. Then I disallowed the cavitron 5000 from my cleaning and they were totally cool about it. The bottom line message I want to deliver to you in this review, is that I am never switching dentists again. Actually, that's not exactly true. I am never switching hygienists again. If Lisa moved to a different dentist office, I would move my records along with her. This was the most painless dental cleaning I have ever had. That statement is not a joke. I had not been to the dentist in 1.5 years, and there was a lot of cleaning that needed to be done; Lisa had brand new dental tools that she was delighted to break in on me. She was done in 45 minutes (I have historically had to break up cleanings into 2 visits) and when I inspected her work, I expected to see residual tartar and plaque because of the efficiency and painlessness of the service, but the cleaning passed the quality control inspection. I remain shocked by the quality of this cleaning and it has inspired me to floss more regularly, because I want to preserve the work that she has done here. This is my new hygienist and I hope that I die before she does (like... a long time from now) because I can't imagine finding another person that is this good at this job.

I come to this dental clinic because I followed my long-time dentist, Dr. Bucciarelli, here. He…read moreused to to work on Belmont, then Yonge and Rosedale, now here. It is a modern and nicely decorated clinic. This clinic has 2-3 dentists. My dentist only works here every Tue since he works on Steeles Ave W the rest of the days. They have a knowledgeable receptionist. My dentist charges reasonable prices (some clinics charge extra). He doesn't do unnecessary dental work. He uses a dental assistant during his dental work. Before the pandemic, the waiting room had enough seating for 4 people. They also gave out free lip balm and green apples. Since the pandemic, there are only 2 chairs, the waiting room is almost barren, and there are no free handouts. The receptionist desk has plexiglass all around it, and there is hand sanitizer on the counter. During pandemic times, you are asked a few questions a few days before the appointment, then you have to answer the same questions when you arrive for the appointment and sign a waiver. You must wear a face mask the entire time until you sit in the dental chair. During pandemic times, there is a heavy duty HEPA filter air cleaner in the waiting room, and in each dental room. After each patient, all their masks and gowns are thrown out and the room closed with newly installed plexiglass doors. The room is emptied for a few mins while the HEPA filter air cleaner cleans the entire room of any lingering droplets. The rules are that if you don't have such an air cleaner, you cannot use the room for 3 hours. So it is cheaper to but an industrial quality air cleaner. The dentist wears a N95 mask and a face shield. Unfortunately it means his voice volume is at 50% of his normal volume. There is free WiFi. Each patient room also has a 32" Sony TV installed above you so you can watch it during dental work. The handle dental insurance claims. You still have to pay first but the submit the claim for you (some people may delay submitting the claim).

For minor cavities, she always suggested to monitor instead of doing filling right away (not like a lot other dentists who are money driven). Her reason was every time you did filling you would lose an extra part of your own tooth. She tried hard to help you extend the lifespan of your teeth as much as possible. The front desk lady, Floor, was also nice and warm. The only reason I did not give a five star was because this place put an extra charge of fluoride treatment on your dental cleaning claim form and a lot of insurance companies did not cover it. All the previous dentist's places I've been to just simply included this service in the three units of scaling.

Without a doubt she is exceptional at what she does. She keeps you informed, is very gentle in her treatments and is extremely knowledgeable. Without a doubt I trust her implicitly. Her assistant Ingrid is very friendly as well and ensures you are comfortable. I have also dealt with some of the other staff dentists and I found them to be just as friendly and helpful. I understand there were some changes at the front reception when they first started at this location but all is settled. I get to sit back and watch the news or even Seinfeld while they professionally work to get my teeth healthy and sparkling. Dr. "B" is a gem.
