Instead of just "getting them working", he identified a part that wasn't original and didn't match the original aesthetic of the clock design. He found a perfect replacement. He sees the clock as something much more than a timepiece. It is a work of art. I questioned my decision to drop off my clocks when they weren't ready within a few weeks. Now I know I made the right decision because the extra time they were at Father Time resulted in two treasures that no other clock repair would have achieved.
