First of all they could approve their attitude towards their disabled clients like me. I was feeling like I was treated really really super bad by them when in 2025 when I went in and I didn't understand the paperwork because I have ASD autism spectrum disorder and I didn't understand the questions and then they kicked me out of their office. I felt so disrespected. And I told myself I would never come back even when they asked me to come back because of the way they treated me. Take it from me it's not worth going to the doctor. The staff is rude I already reported it to CSC from regional center about them and that I've never go to them take it from me you're better off going to another dentist not this one. This has been the worst experience dealing with a special needs dentist clinic for children. The receptionist and nurse were rude and condescending to the max!! They seemed to enjoy my frustration and anxiety as I waited for this appointment for 2 months. They are clearly not cut out for customers service, or any service. I would give 0 starts for this office. I understand a patient would pay extra out of pocket for dental sedation. The office, however, DOESN'T TAKE ANY DENTAL INSURANCE...so they are denying much-needed access to this kind of dental care for individuals who are not independently wealthy. If you are parents with a child who has special needs, consider going elsewhere. The staff there were the absolute worst. They treat the patients and parents-/caregivers like cattle. There were no explanations of procedures to take place, and they do not listen to advise. My child has autism. He is a big 22-year-old guy who may become aggressive when he is in a new and scary environment. I have taken him to numerous hospitals for check-ups requiring shots as well as lab work (blood draw) without any incidents. The nurses at those hospitals listen to the parents who know their child best. All that my son need is for me to be beside him, go through a breathing exercise while the nurse/doctor administers the injection. That's it. We explained this scenario to the nurses at the dental office numerous times. They did not listen. Now they decided to no longer see my 140-pound son because he had to be restrained by 8 people (told to us by a nurse) to administer the shot. When they handed my child, the nurse said, "He is still under sedation or else he would beat us up". What kind of professional would say that to parents of children with special needs?! read more

I am one of many people here, with the fear of dentists. There was no judgment from him and he is aware of peoples past experiences that have made them fearful. Professionalism is not a big enough word when it comes to Dr. Lee and his staff. Me being a bodybuilder, food is essential and the ability to eat without any pain is a big deal. Vile staff, rude and unhelpful I would not bring my dog to this office even if you paid me. I arrived with my disabled sister for a meeting the Regional Center arranged almost 4 months ago and these people wouldn't let my sister (Alex was this office's personnel) in. They were only doing a consultation mind you, so no work whatsoever was going to be done. They demanded that she should have a Through examination They wanted her blood work as well as a list of her Drugs. Sadly on the day, I was involved with a lot of interruptions and I forgot the paperwork at home; thus informing the receptionist. I suggested either doing a copy of the information to their email or presenting the information gathered from Kaiser's website to the doctor. This woman straight up said no, and this was just to schedule a consultation. On professionalism, oh, this office I can tell you that this place was sooo unprofessional!! I could of brought the paperwork right back since the were too good to have it emailed to them from Kaiser's site. She totally ignored me as if I am not even there but the worst was her looked at my sister with much displeasure as if she has something against handicap people, immediately she categorically rejected my sister's request saying that she cannot attend to her now but will get back later. Ditto she did not want to listen at all but went back to the office and closed the door on me while I was still speaking. Overall, I would not wish to go to this place and I would not advise anyone to visit this place. And indeed I did advice the Regional Center regarding the rude treatment that was accorded to them. There is thus need for attitude change on the side of Alex. Yes, I will be filing more complaints in the future. read more

This sedation dentist practice is AMAZING! Every person in this office is patient, kind, informative, and compassionate. Dr. Lee spent a good deal of time on the phone with me explaining the procedures in detail as well as Liz and Yvette. I live across the country and my daughter is the patient...they made my daughter so comfortable and confident in their service that her fear of dentists has completely waned. My 40-year old son, Dan, has been a patient of Dr. Lee's for over 15 years. Dan is a person with many disabilities and a lifelong client of Regional Center. It is no easy task to find doctors who are willing, and capable, of dealing with the challenging behaviors of a person like Dan. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to Dr. Lee and his amazing staff, especially Liz, who is by far the most dedicated and professional person we have ever met. Dan is NOT an easy patient and yet, Liz, Dr. Lee and staff, manage to get Dan's dental work done without any negative consequences. Dan actually looks forward to going in for his appointments! And whenever Dan creates a problem after an appointment (like pulling off his temporary crowns!), they remedy the situation as fast as humanly possible, which speaks volumes for their commitment to their patients. The economy we live in has seriously impacted all areas of service delivery to people with disabilities. Dr. Lee's office is no exception. They have had to provide quality dental services with less staff, less insurance reimbursements and less assistance from government agencies, like Regional Center. And yet, they manage to treat people, like my son Dan, with dignity, respect and compassion, while providing high quality dental care. I've been trying to get him to the dentist for about 4 years! He ended up having pain in a molar. He was having a full blown panic attack at the though of even coming here. This was the best dental experience I have ever had in my entire life. EVER. 1. Out cold, didn't feel a thing! 2. NO nausea after anesthesia, which has not been the case other times in my life when I had to have it. Clearly their anesthesiologist is an expert who gets it exactly right. 3. Every single person there is nice. If you have admittedly neglected your dental work out of fear, this is the only place where NO lecture was given. Not a single word. They were about fixing the problem, not shaming me for it. This alone would be enough to make me give them 5 stars. 4. And it's CLEAN! You don't walk in and go uh-oh I'm not sure this looks safe. It is spotless. 5. They provide dental care to the disabled which a lot of dentists won't. So they are morally and ethically wonderful, as well. I can honestly say that as long as they are in business, I will not be scared to go to the dentist anymore. And I am a 46 year old woman who has been terrified my entire life and avoided it like the plague as an adult, with predictable results. If you are an avoider like me, give them a shot - you won't believe the difference. It is like night and day. It's dental care that feels helpful, not like you got captured by the enemy and are being tortured to try to make you talk! read more

I called yesterday for an appointment, a lady took all my information, and asked if I had dental insurance. I would be paying cash. She said Liz would call me back to make an appointment. Six hours later, I called to find out what happened. I was informed that Liz was too busy to call me back. I asked if anyone else could make an appointment. I was told that Liz manages all the doctors' schedules. Liz would be calling me today. Funny, no phone call. Dr. Lee and his staff, Liz the office manager and Ginny (who has taken care of me after every surgery) are simply the best. My story is probably the same as many others, I had an awful and VERY painful experience as a child and was terrified to go to the dentist. Unless there was a true and painful emergency I didn't go. I was always very ashamed of my teeth and learned to smile never showing my teeth, taking photos and videos over and over so that I could be sure my ugly teeth were not showing. I finally worked up the courage to have my mouth taken care of. I did a great deal of research and read reviews which is how I found Dr. Lee. From the very first time I walked into his office (in tears from being so afraid) Dr. Lee and his staff put me at ease. Dr. Lee always took time to answer all of my many questions, Liz took the time to respond to many many text messages and she was always patient and kind. I knew that finally having the smile of my dreams would be a long process, I was 100% confident that Dr. Lee and his team would do an amazing job and they DID. My smile is amazing, beautiful and natural looking. I have had so many people comment and tell me I look great. I feel so much better about myself, this truly has been one of the very best decisions I have ever made, it has changed my life. I thank god for Dr. Kenneth Lee and his amazing and caring team! Before finding Dr. Lee, I was terrified of going to the dentist. I'm certain it steams from my childhood when you would have a toothache and your parents took you to the dentist and all they would do it rip that tooth out. Because of these long childhood fears, I would never go to the dentist, the fear was still in me. About two years ago I knocked a tooth loose, I was terrified, I knew I would have to face my fears of going into a dentist chair. I did a lot of research on dentist in my area. None of them made me feel comfortable. Then I searched outside my area and I came upon Dr. Kenneth Lee at Total Sleep Dentistry... keep in mind his office is 20 miles from where I live and in LA that's pretty far with traffic. I made my first appointment with Dr. Lee and he assured me this would be painless and that I would be happy with the result of my loose tooth. If I'm being honest - he was absolutely right! It was painless, and my fear of dentist started to go away. I went back for more visits for more work that needed to be done in my mouth so that I can have beautiful teeth and a great smile. Each and every time I was treated with great care and friendliness from Dr. Lee and his staff. Today I walk around and I smile with my mouth open, I never used to do that before (I always smiled with my mouth closed). Just had 7 extractions and they made it the most painless ordeal. The aftercare was way worse, luckily the team at LA Sleep Dentist/Solis was so comforting and available, it was easy to call just to talk about what I was going through. Dr. Lee and his staff, especially Liz, are absolutely phenomenal! I have been coming to this practice off and on since 2001. I moved away and now live in Las Vegas. I make the trip every time to see Dr Lee and it's certainly worth the extra time and distance. When I called them in 2013, they remembered me from 2001, which I thought was amazing. They are kind, gentle and very patient with someone like myself who can be quite difficult to deal with. I received implants and bridges this year and just finished up my last surgery. I got all 4 wisdom teeth out on 10/2/18 and I was sooo scared leading up to the procedure. I turn 26 at the end of this month so I HAD to get it done before then as I've been putting it off for the last 10 years. They are so welcoming and made me feel so safe and comfortable and honestly I remember taking one hit of laughing gas and was out- while they put my under anesthesia (because I'm scared of needles too) 10/10 I will be back for ALL my dental needs even though it's a bit pricey. Love Dr. Lee and his team! I recently had to have very extensive dental work done, and am in the middle of several separate procedures. I'm extremely fearful of dentists and immune to standard Novocain, so I required total sedation. Dr. Lee and his team took excellent care of me and helped soothe all my worries. They got me in right away and were very attentive to my needs. During my first procedure they made sure to answer all of my questions and put me at much as ease as possible. I HAVE to share my experience going to Dr. Lee and having Dr. Lee and his extraordinary staff handle my dental work. I've been PETRIFIED of the dentist since I was young and have had countless dental appointments and work done over the years. I was recently notified I'd have to have a root canal, deep quadrant cleaning and three new crowns. I grimaced at the idea of multiple dental visits over the course of 10-12 weeks, the pain, the follow up and inconvenience to my work schedule. I did EXTENSIVE research and came across Dr. Lee and LA Sleep Dentist and even though they were located in Tarzana and I live in Santa Monica I made the appointment, BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE. Liz and Dr. Lee are AMAZING! I've told my entire office about my experience and Dr. Lee is the ONLY Dentist I'll go to from now on! Dr. Lee put me at ease with their ULTRA modern, hi tech facility, accommodating, amazing staff, they put together a comprehensive plan and executed 4 1/2 hours worth of dental work in a SINGLE VISIT, all while I was under general anesthesia, AMAZING!!! I woke up and we were done! My tooth had been in pain for approximately a month. Everything I ate or drank caused extreme pain. Dr. Lee performed a root canal yesterday and not only was he extremely gentle, I was so comfortable I'm pretty sure I dozed off a couple of times. It's the morning after and as I write this review I have zero post operative pain. I haven't had the need for prescription or over the counter pain medication. His staff is extremely friendly, the office is beautiful and Dr. Lee is incredible. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I HATE going to the dentist. Saw there billboard ad and website and called the office for an appointment. The office manager , Liz was friendly and answered all my questions. I canceled and rescheduled several times sue to my fear level, but they were always courteous and understanding. I finally went to my appointment for the consultation. Due to the extent of my work, it took two appointments to diagnose and discuss what all my options were and the prices.It was very straightforward. I actually liked it this way because the first appointment I was soooo scared, I would not have heard anything they said. My treatment involved comprehensive treatment, Taking teeth our, crowns and implants. I have had a few visits with them to say the least. 1. The place is CLEAN, comfortable and state of the ART! Very warm feeling reception and treatment rooms. 2. Office staff is WONDERFUL!!!!! Friendly, comforting and understanding. My impression is that MOST of their patients are asleep for their dentistry. All the assistants and nurses were very kind and friendly. 3. Dr. Lee explained everything in detail in terms of my dental treatment. Gave me all the options.Understood that I was scared and didn't make me feel embarrassed.Reassured me that many of his patients were just like me. What a relief!! His office manager, Liz goes over all the prices and insurance , appointments, instructions and payment options. She was so comforting. She took the time to explain everything to me and understood that I really don't like being in dental offices. 4. Anesthesia was great.I wanted to be totally asleep, not just twilight and they delivered, No nausea, afterwards, don't remember anything and after every appointment there was minimal discomfort. GREAT way to have dentistry done!! And now I have a beautiful new smile!! 5. This is a special place, compassionate, caring and ethical. They see many patients with special needs and disabilities that I am sure take extra TLC. 6. The fees are not the cheap, but not the most expensive either. Dr. Lee and Dr. Gottchalks are the best dentist hands down! For a period about two years then did a full mouth restoration on myself. I had multiple dental implants done, including the bone grafting, and several steps to get the best results. I had old crowns replaced to all white, and old fillings removed and new white ones put in. The best part is I was able to sleep though all of it! I am a huge dental chicken, and have been a pain in the butt patient over the years at other dentist. I fought, bit, snuck out in the middle of a procedure. When I was told about Dr. Lee and Gottchalks a few years ago they changed my life for the better, and I am able to walk in their office and know I am in good hands with their entire staff. I am still very terrified, but they are so kind and patient. They talk you through everything while you are getting X-rays, consultations, and right through your IV sedation, so you drift off into a easy sleep while they do they work. If you are looking for a dentist/dental team, I highly recommend them and their staff. Dr. Lee and Gottchalks do very high end and the best quality dental you will find anywhere. The office is very nice, staff is friendly, and very accommodating to make you feel at ease. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I had dental trauma as a child and had been having panic attacks all of my adult life just thinking about going to dentist. Before Dr. Lee I went to a horrible so-called "sleep dentist" who overdosed me on Halcyon to keep me in the dental chair so that he could take my money. Then I was introduced to Dr. Lee. On my first visit everyone there was completely understanding of my dental anxiety and did everything that they could to make me feel at ease. Because of many years of dental neglect due to avoidance there was a lot of work to be done. Dr. Lee did everything with kindness and respect. None of my fears were "too crazy" and the whole staff really cared. They walked me through every step of every procedure and if there was anything that I didn't understand, Liz would sit down and explain everything to me. I had always been nauseous with anesthesia but never once with Dr. Lee. They make sure to make it a completely safe and pain free experience every time I'm there. Over the years I have been both a cash and an insured patient and have been teated wonderfully in both cases. They have always understood that I am a regular working class person and have done their best to make what I need financially feasible. On multiple visits there I have seen them with many disabled patients and have marveled at how well they take care of them as well. I will never go to any other dentist but Dr. Lee PERIOD and I will continue to refer him to all of my friends, family and loved ones. read more

I had a truly surprising experience at Dr Lee's office. The staff made it very safe and when I met Dr. Lee for my consultation for my infected wisdom tooth extraction you can imagine the fear connected with that. I stalled 5 years in having this painful tooth removed for fear of incompetency. Well Dr Lee explained to me there would be no pain and i wouldn't recall anything afterwards. He was right. He is like a chemist with the anesthetics and not administering too much nor too little. i have had to take only Motrin since I'm home and it has been a week and I'm having a terrific healing and no throbbing or pain.
