Dr. Lin is a fantastic Doctor. Nice personality, knowledgeable, and does a great job about proactively keeping in touch with his patients when there is an issue. I have been using Dr. Lin as the pediatrician for both of my kids (3 month old and 2 year old). He is a great doctor. We always email him about any concerns we have and he replied very quickly. Even during weekend or holidays, we still receive his reply in just few hours. My son had a cough few days ago. Dr. Lin quickly ordered several lab tests and x-ray. It turns out that my son developed pneumonia from RSV virus. He took very quick action on that. Thank him, my son's symptom has significantly improved within 24 hours. We've been with Dr. Lin for almost three years now - both of my sons have been with him since birth. He has always been fantastic!! We chose Dr. Lin for so many reasons. We met him at a "Meet Your Baby's Doctor" meeting through PAMF and loved how personable he was right from the start. He has young sons of his own and we liked that since we were expecting our first, a boy. Dr. Lin and his wife are both from the area and so *we hope* that he'll stick around in this area for a long time. Dr. Lin is quick to return calls and always follows up when he says he will. I've always been impressed by how much he remembers between appointments; it never feels like he had to review our info to remember who we are. He takes the time at each appt to make sure he's answered all of my questions and he spends time interacting with the kids, not just examining them. He's been cautious with the kids when there are concerns (regarding growth, bloodwork, etc), he talks to his colleagues for their opinions when necessary and doesn't overmedicate the kids. This is our first time going to a family doctor in the bay area, and Dr. Lin is awesome. He makes you feel very comfortable, and nothing strange or weird. Because when we were in New York, some of the doctors we went to see, I dont know, you kinda felt judged a little bit, which I think is very unprofessional. But Dr. Lin is just like a friend, engaging conversations, and really shows care. He will refer other great specialists if you need more consultation about specific problems. And those other specialists turn out to have quite good ratings on yelp too. :) I would totally recommend him as a family doctor. read more

Dr. Lin has been my primary doctor for some time now. I can honestly say he is the best doctor I have ever had. On top of being a great doctor, he is very friendly and really cares. I went through a tough time with kidney stones, and as I had gone to emergency, I had not gone to Doctor Lin about it. During my treatments, he called me to say he had been following my progress and wanted to know how I was doing. I was impressed he cared to take the time to reach out to me. Everybody I have talked to that works with him has told me how hard he works. Yet I never feel rushed, and he takes the time to listen to me and take care of me. He always greets me with a smile and knows my history when he enters the room for my appointments. Doctor Lin is exceptional. He will do extra steps for the patients. Here are some examples. 1. I had a blood test in June. afterwards I received a notice from Medicare stated that it is NOT approved service. This means I will have to pay by myself. I emailed him and got his response immediately. Although he did not know why, he contacted the hospital department and requested a research. And let me know that I should get an answer from them within two weeks...... Finally the problem was resolved and I do not have to pay one penny. I had one similar problem with PAMF about one year ago. It was with another doctor. I also emailed this doctor on the concern and the answer was "do not know why" and asked me to contact the billing department myself. Of cause, it took me long and hard and several months to solve the problem. 2. My Mammogram test was overdue in August, 2014. Doctor Lin told me to make an appointment for the exam. I was busy/lazy and did not do it. After about 2 weeks later, he send me email and remind me of this test! I have been with PAMF for 19 years. No doctors had do this like Doctor Lin. He really put patients health in his heart. I usually do not write review. My English is the barrier. read more

Dr. Lin is FANTASTIC! He is the Primary Doctor for my husband and me. He has taken excellent care of us for four years. My hubby has very complex medical issues but Dr. Lin really manages his conditions and works hard to prevent new ones from developing. He also oversees all the care prescribed by 7 different Specialist! If another MD orders a lab test Dr. Lin will usually review it before the ordering MD and request additional info if needed. His response time to e-mail and phone calls is exceptional! I could not believe how fast he responds to your questions or concerns. We came from Kaiser and had been very disappointed with the care! Hubby and I really believe without Dr. Lin he would have passed away. He saved his life by managing his conditions with a great deal of Knowledge and Compassion. He works not just with the patient but the entire family if needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for his patients. I have referred my friends and extended family to him and they are just as satisfied. We moved about 40 miles away and we still see Dr. Lin as our PCP. Dr. Lin has been my doc for many years now and I must say I continue to be impressed. He's always very relaxed, attentive, and well prepared and doesn't hesitate to offer good advice - which I try very hard to follow and actually succeed most of the time. But what really sets him apart - at least for me - is how easy it is to communicate with him. Send him an email and, in most cases, I get a response within a few hours. And in fact, just recently over the holidays, I sent him an email with just a question. When I sent it the website informed me that Dr. Lin was scheduled to be out for at least the next week on vacation. When I saw the message I bet my girlfriend that he would respond quickly anyway.
