He is open and willing to try different approaches. I have been his patient for many years and moved three hours away and I still drive to see him when needed. I have switched other doctors to my local area, but once you find someone who is that good, like Dr. Chen, you never switch and drive as many hours as required. I am the parent of a very difficult 3 year old. I fully acknowledge his behavior and was quite embarrassed and upset by all of it. I'm struggling, the doctor sees I'm struggling, and she made a comment saying "this behavior is not normal for 3" . Normally if the behavior is not normal a doctor may have suggestions or ask more questions, dig a bit deeper. But she just sort of finished the evaluation and left. I obviously should have dug deeper as the parent and sought help but I guess with a comment like that I expected her to care more or show concern. So now I'm home looking up behavioral therapists because I'm just in a state of - what do I do? Previously Dr. Parker recognized my sons speech and language was a bit behind. He asked questions and immediately had suggestions and had recommended us to GGRC for speech and language support. It was really helpful and obviously necessary. But I appreciated his input and his suggestions and that is what I want in a pediatric doctor. The front desk staff and medical assistants/nurses have all been wonderful. Always very accommodating and despite my sons anxiety at the doctors and his outrageous behavior- I've never felt like they've judged me. They've been kind and compassionate. The medical assistant today, who administered shots was so lovely and so kind. I wish I asked for her name! I'm very sad about our visit. For many reasons. But that comment will stick with me for a while I'm sure.

A couple of things about her: # 1 She's VERY HANDS ON !! Rashes? Bring him in. Fever? Bring him in. No waiting. She is super diligent and squeezed us in early morning when I was paranoid about my son's fever. # 2 She knows everything. She just sees symptoms and SPOT ON! She figures out diseases quickly that helps us to act on it. # 3 She will always give us the time to express our concerns and examine my baby thoroughly, no matter how busy she is. # 4 She LISTENS. She RESPECTS. Every parent has their own parenting style and she works with them , not against them. I always find comfort in her. Sh's extremely supportive regarding my co-sleeping and breastfeeding post 12 months. # 5 Her behavior IS THE BEST. My daughter has speech delays so she doesn't verbal communicate as well as the kids her age. My father was a physician so I know good medical care when I see it, and Dr. Paley provides excellent primary medical care. It is true that calls to the office may not be returned the same day, but if you contact the office through the on-line patient portal, you almost always get a same-day response. As for the complaint that Dr. Paley pushed the COVID vaccine, medical science has shown that the risk of serious complications or death from COVID is astronomically higher than complications or death from the vaccine. He is following medical science and protocols in advocating that a patient reduce risk by getting vaccinated. But the choice is still the patient's.

We also appreciate that she takes the time to understand what our specialist doctors have found and prescribed, so we are not left to do the integration of our care on our own. She is caring and professional and patient, which is wonderful since my husband has dementia. Her support team is also great. We've been PAMF patients for decades. We find PAMF doctors and care are almost uniformly great and Dr Yan is a premier example of that.
