Finally found my to go dentist. I've been going to…read moredifferent dentists over the years for my 4 month cleanings, checkups and dental needs. Reason I went to different dentists over the years is that I really never felt comfortable with any of them plus it felt like assembly line dentistry with every dental chair occupied and the dentists hopping from patient to patient, not to mention the sticker shock when given an estimate. Called Picayune Dental Clinic for an appointment and was able to get in within 2 days to see Dr. Hale. (Gave my dental insurance information etc. over the phone) Dr. Hale is very professional and super nice. After the x-ray diagnostics I had one small cavity that needed to be addressed. Instead of having to make a follow up appointment Dr. Hale filled it on my 1st appointment (today). Like most I'm not very comfortable with dental anesthesia but to my surprise it was absolutely painless. Prices are very reasonable compared to other local dental clinics ( I was pleasantly surprised with my out of pocket cost). As a new patient my appointment was made quickly without the week or longer wait to be seen. Office is very clean. Staff is super friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Painless! I highly recommend Picayune Dental Clinic if you're looking for great dental care and absolute reasonable prices.

Called each time, and was told they were in error, but up to 4 times I had to call. Then, I booked a crown on one tooth, and when I got there, they set up for a different tooth. Then when they got the correct tooth figured out, the temporary broke within a week, they said my dentist had Covid, and didn't know when she was back. I asked for one of their other dentists to help, and they said there weren't any other dentists there, which I found out later wasn't true. Then when dentist returned, their office was closed down because they didn't meet sanitation/sterilization standards. So by the time I was able to get my actual crown, all my teeth on top row had moved, crown now didn't fit, and then my dentist was no longer there, so I was left with going to another dental clinic and Picayune Dental made me pay to see one of their other dentists, which previously they said there weren't any. Horrible experience.

I had a cavity and I was also told I had a filling that was not sitting right. Tried to make an…read moreappointment for both of them to be fixed and I was told I had to make two separate appointments for both. But the receptionist wouldn't let me make both appointments. I was told after I came in to get my cavity fixed, then I could make the next appointment. When I showed up for my appointment for the cavity, was in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. I was brought back and waited about another 30 minutes to get numbed up. I was told the dentist would be with me shortly. It was about 40 minutes and I finally got up and was looking around for anyone to talk to. I found an assistant on her phone in the room next to me and asked her when the dentist would be in to start the work and she said "honey, I don't know" in a condescending tone. She got up and walked away and a minute later the dentist walked in and I heard her under her breath say "alright you twisted my arm". The dental work took less than 5 minutes. I understand if a business is understaffed, things are difficult. But please don't overbook if you won't be able to service your patients in a timely manner. I won't be returning for anymore services unfortunately.

I took him in for pain in his tooth in April and X-ray and exam showed no cavities. Now in beginning of September after I had to pop an abscess in his gums over the weekend I take him in only to be told 'oh you need a root canal we told you in 2014 that this might happen' seems like a dentist would actually keep an eye on something to prevent a 12 year old from having to go through a root canal. If I were a parent who didn't keep up with my child's dental well being I could see how this could happen. All because of a dentist's negligence..

I discovered them while looking through what doctors take my dental insurance, so my first visit was not a referral. Everyone inside is very friendly, and one thing that really impresses me is how prompt they are. When you make an appointment at 2:30 in the afternoon, you will be in the dentist's chair by 2:30. They don't overbook or keep you waiting long, and I really appreciate that. This has been my experience after over half a dozen visits. My first visit was for a cracked tooth, and while we had to make a plan for a follow-up visit, my dentist took a moment to grind down one edge just so it wouldn't keep scraping my tongue. I loved that attention to detail. In other cases, I had some minor work done and they always say what they are doing and explain things along the way. Not once have I ever felt any major pain even after a root canal and extraction. One really cool thing I like here is when X-rays are done, they have screens in the office so you can instantly see the results. It's pretty neat to see a close-up of your teeth and actually see where there may be problems, inflammation, etc. I've never had that experience at a dentist before. On top of that, they have TVs mounted to the ceiling so you can distract yourself while they are doing work.
