I was given a bill for $700+ and was told (rudely) that my insurance wouldn't cover the procedure. I contacted my insurer directly and my actual bill amounted to $50. This was only one of many unpleasant interactions with the office. Their manner in dealing with patients over insurance payments, appointments, etc. is so unhelpful and the information provided is full of mistakes. In addition, my new dentist's front office staff mentioned they have had contentious exchanges over obtaining patient records. I understand someone having a bad day, but this is an ongoing problem in their office. I want to believe the managing dentist is not aware of how some of the front office staff treat patients and . If they were aware, I would think they would provide their personnel with training in customer relations. I will not be back.

Well last night I flossed like I always do and the filling came out. Now that side of my mouth hurts and I tell that to the receptionist and she said he won't be available til Monday. I ask will it be covered and she said since they have to do it over I would have to pay again. I explained to her about the sensitivity, and how I have other fillings from other dentist & it never fell, this isn't on me so why would I have to pay again. It hurt a bit but I was numbed and didn't think much of it. When I got in the car I saw it turned into a noticeable blister and was getting more painful. I decided to politely ask what I could do to speed up the healing process and instead of giving me real advice the dentist implied that it was a cold sore! At this point I'm frustrated because the dentist is denying responsibility and because I now have to go into my customer facing job with a painful blister on my lip. He eventually admits to it and admits noticing it during the procedure, but assures me it won't leave a burn mark (it did) and that I wouldn't be charged for the previous dental cleaning (I was). I have been a long time patient and this comes after dealing with some strange scheduling and billing practices as of late. I would avoid at all costs!
