Saturday afternoon, I took my 6 year old nephew to this park. It is indeed a Play for all…read more.. It was not as busy as I thought. Parking was great. We parked close to the entrance. My nephew was extremely excited!!I noticed that everything was thoroughly thought out. The entrance gate is slightly heavy (two to pass through. Other area were the same (heavy gates to prevent kids from entering the paved areas without permission & help. There were several areas to play: sensory areas, sand box (large), agility, strength training for the littles, and a cute township area where kids can ride (provided mini bikes) bikes or scooters in the "city". The imagination stations were adorable. Most areas were covered well. They had several restrooms and water stations. Seating for birthdays and such. I didn't have time to take pictures. But it's true to the website. I highly recommend it!

There is a fence completely surrounding the park and there is a gate to go in and out of which has the handles high enough that a child could not open that gate. There was a lot of thought put into this park. They have wonderful learning areas such as they have an area all about music; This was definitely a favorite place. There are chimes to sound and drums to play, The children really enjoyed this area. They had a zip line made for children. My four-year-old granddaughter was enjoying it and after her, some 13-year-olds were enjoying it. It's very well-made, very safe and very fun. They have a shopping area for them to pretend -- along with their own personal H-E-B! My granddaughter really enjoyed pretending to shop. I think that's a secret word here, there's a lot of pretending going on here! I highly recommend this park. It's important to know that animals are not allowed unless it's a service animal. There's a lot of kids running and yelling and playing and laughing. This is not the place for you if you're going to a park to read a book. This is definitely a great place for children or for parents to play with their children. I highly recommend you visit.

The trail is nice and paved, the playground looks pretty expansive, and the absolute views and nature on display here makes me feel very lucky to witness it. There's plenty to do here as a family and there were quite a few families out when I passed through. It's such an elegant and serene space. RIYL: spinnin like a laundromat

This neighborhood park in Round Rock is beautiful. After major renovations and connections to…read moretrails, the park was reopened in 2024. It still has that "new feeling" to it. The grounds are well-maintained and landscaped. There are paved trails that run along Brushy Creek where folks fish, feed the ducks, and relax along the water if not hiking or walking. It's dog-friendly with poo stations throughout. Dogs must be leashed. Water fountains throughout. The baseball field is state-of-the art. There's a modern playground for kids. Picnic areas with tables and grills. Veterans memorial onsite. Ducks and squirrels all around. In fact, a squirrel climbed the netted parameter around the ball field to watch us. I posted a lot of pics-that's a cute one to check out. The 14-acre park is surrounded by trees. In the middle of Bushy Creek is a large round rock for which the town was named. Next to the ball park is a spiral ramp connecting the upper and lower sections of the Heritage Trail West (which runs through the park). You can walk up it or bike for amazing views once at the top. This is a lovely park for getting out and enjoying nature.

They have dozens of picnic tables that you can have a snack on, and for only four bucks for a ten minute train, maybe fifteen minute train ride, it is a steal. I love the fact that they're trained their playground and their picnic tables are all on their trees. So you're not in the sun at all during the summer, when you come out next to a park that has soccer about basketballs, tennis goals. All kinds of stuff to do around you. We will definitely be bringing our daughter out for the years to come

After you're done, there is a playground for the kids and a nice "western town" area for photos. There are more attractions like a little train for kids but it was shut down so I don't know if they're working on it or what. Don't get your expectations up for the sights on the train ride - it's not much. A soccer field and then it's just dry brush / trees. One of the most disappointing elements was that there was no info given on the ride (saw speakers so the conductor could have talked). According to their website, the train takes you through the hideout of Sam Bass (outlaw that died in Round Rock) so that would have been cool to hear about. Overall, kids love trains so this is a good way to entertain them.
