New park find...Round Rock West Park. It is very scenic with lush and full green trees. There is also a lake with a fountain in the center. Surprisingly a hot day a slight breeze is flowing through the pavilion. Very pleasant... There are activities for adults and children. For the adults you can play volleyball or tennis. For children, there is a play area with slides, jungle gym and swings. We're here for a group picnic. Relaxing and super chill...

A small trail to walk your dog.

For a park it's pretty nice. It has a small pond, wildlife, a playground, benches, a tennis court and a small trail. The parking is ample and it's peaceful. The trail is good to walk a small dog. If you are wanting to hike or ride a cycle, the trail is very short and not worth the effort to go here. If you are taking the kids to play or to read a book, it's an excellent place.

This is a cute little park. There is a walking trail but it isn't very long. It's great for smaller kids. There are tennis courts and a playground but we mostly came for the walk. The lake is very nice and there are ducks that you can feed. Pay attention to the sign that says what ducks should eat though. We had a very peaceful time here. The only issue is how small the parking lot is. But you should be able to find parking elsewhere.

Cute little park in the Round Rock area. Very dog friendly with trash bags and bins everywhere for your pup. It's good for a short walk or run. Just be careful with your dogs. They might want to run towards the dogs like mine did. I suggest not using Apple Maps. Though I was close it lead me right into a neighborhood instead. I was still about a two minute drive off from the parking lot of the park. I had to switch to Google Maps to find it. There's a bridge towards the end that my dog was scared of. I have no idea where it leads to but it did look pretty eerie. A nice cute place with a pond and ducks to look at!

I love that this park is never too busy. There's a small playground as well as sand volleyball and tennis court. The lake is really pretty and I loved seeing the ducks and geese. I do wish the walking trails were more extensive but it's already pretty nice for a neighborhood park.

The alpha goose has a terrible case of angel wing (from being fed bread while at a wing-developing juvenile age).

A fisherman at Mills Pond in Wells Branch recommended this park. I visited on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The walking trails were pretty extensive for a neighborhood park. They were made of crushed gravel. That's my favorite material since it's easiest on the knees! There is a nice lake that's waterfowl-friendly. The ducks and geese are able to retreat from pestering humans and the afternoon sun. The shores are webbed feet-friendly--made of dirt and grass. The park level to the water has a steep incline/decline in some places; the waterfowl seemed to navigate the hill ok, but it could be better. I saw a goose with a terrible case of angel wing. Please don't feed the waterfowl bread--you can google for reasons why. (Since the afflicted goose is domestic and couldn't fly with normal wings anyway, it's not a big deal in this case. However, if you find future mallard or muscovy ducklings developing angel wing, you can message me and I will fix it if caught early enough.) There are tennis courts and restrooms. There seems to be only one small parking lot. I'll update this review more after more visits.

The Tennis courts were in full use and there was a group of Birthday Party kids dispersing from a nice size covered Pavilion.

The trail is nice and paved, the playground looks pretty expansive, and the absolute views and nature on display here makes me feel very lucky to witness it. The grounds are well-maintained and landscaped. There are paved trails that run along Brushy Creek where folks fish, feed the ducks, and relax along the water if not hiking or walking. It's dog-friendly with poo stations throughout. Dogs must be leashed. Water fountains throughout. The baseball field is state-of-the art. There's a modern playground for kids. Picnic areas with tables and grills. Veterans memorial onsite. Ducks and squirrels all around. In fact, a squirrel climbed the netted parameter around the ball field to watch us. I posted a lot of pics-that's a cute one to check out. The 14-acre park is surrounded by trees. In the middle of Bushy Creek is a large round rock for which the town was named. Next to the ball park is a spiral ramp connecting the upper and lower sections of the Heritage Trail West (which runs through the park). You can walk up it or bike for amazing views once at the top. This is a lovely park for getting out and enjoying nature.

Let's start with the cons: it's seriously off the beaten path- there's nothing out there. Bring everything you need- water, food, sunscreen etc. Secondly, there is literally no beach- just rocks, lots of rocks. Lastly, it is not dog, kid, or "out of shape" friendly. You have to climb around and over all those rocks to get to the water. (Oh, and there is a fee per person, if there's someone on duty). Now the pros- it is seriously off the beaten path, which means there's parking and very few people. Secondly, the water is clear and beautiful as are the views. It is near a marina, so boaters give nice waves every so often. Lastly, I loved sitting in my float just listening to the water hit the rocky shore. Very peaceful. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. Let me know if you go- enjoy!

You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.

If you're adventurous you can rent a canoe or kayak from the boathouse and take it out onto the lake as well. This park is a beautiful place to spend time on a weekend!

Cedar Park, this is a joke. So many safety risks and completely inefficient kayakers.
