It's really sad to see a lot of additions missing- like the zip line, some of the swings, a lot of the differently abled accessible items. I'm sure it's because parents are using them incorrectly. Every time we come here there's a parents pushing their child(ren) in the wheelchair swing when their children are NOT in wheelchairs. Huge bummer.

Possibly one of the best parks here or anywhere I've ever been. Great playground for kids with many types of sections based on what the kids want. They have slides, swings, sand, climbing, you name it. There's a small fake town where kids can ride anything with wheels and go around. There's plenty of shade and parking is plenty if you go further around. Outdoor parks are tough since it's hot in Texas but on a nice day it's worth it.

This is a gem of a park! I'm so glad I've found this amazing place! It's absolutely the best park I've ever been to! My kids love it! If you plan on coming here, plan to stay for a good while because there is so much to do and my daughter never wants to leave!! Bring a bike or scooter, the track and little town is so cute! I love the thought and details they put into this place.

There is so much to love about this enormous, access-for-all park. Lots of shade! Bring a picnic. Bring the bikes, scooters, skates and skateboards. Don't forget the sandbox toys! There's a miniature speedway for kids. There's a play town that recreates a city, complete with a hospital, fire station, HEB, gas station, and more. If your kids love to climb, this park will exhaust their bodies and their imagination. There is so much to do: - Playscape for little guys, playscape for big kids, a soundscape, enormous see saws, a nature scape. - A working zipline for kids as small as 4 years of age - Children in a wheelchair will be able to swing and go up a tree house. Limited parking so get there early. And bring a flashlight if you plan to be there after dusk.

The grounds are well-maintained and landscaped. There are paved trails that run along Brushy Creek where folks fish, feed the ducks, and relax along the water if not hiking or walking. It's dog-friendly with poo stations throughout. Dogs must be leashed. Water fountains throughout. The baseball field is state-of-the art. There's a modern playground for kids. Picnic areas with tables and grills. Veterans memorial onsite. Ducks and squirrels all around. In fact, a squirrel climbed the netted parameter around the ball field to watch us. I posted a lot of pics-that's a cute one to check out. The 14-acre park is surrounded by trees. In the middle of Bushy Creek is a large round rock for which the town was named. Next to the ball park is a spiral ramp connecting the upper and lower sections of the Heritage Trail West (which runs through the park). You can walk up it or bike for amazing views once at the top. This is a lovely park for getting out and enjoying nature.

Let's start with the cons: it's seriously off the beaten path- there's nothing out there. Bring everything you need- water, food, sunscreen etc. Secondly, there is literally no beach- just rocks, lots of rocks. Lastly, it is not dog, kid, or "out of shape" friendly. You have to climb around and over all those rocks to get to the water. (Oh, and there is a fee per person, if there's someone on duty). Now the pros- it is seriously off the beaten path, which means there's parking and very few people. Secondly, the water is clear and beautiful as are the views. It is near a marina, so boaters give nice waves every so often. Lastly, I loved sitting in my float just listening to the water hit the rocky shore. Very peaceful. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. Let me know if you go- enjoy!

You can also walk on the unpaved trail along the water (it's very smooth and stroller-friendly). There is a playground. It's split into two areas for different ages. It's great in theory but I found it a bit lacking. There's a rudimentary playground that's labeled as 2-5. And a crunk playground (3-tiered, with gnarly slides) labeled as 5-12. Don't get me wrong -- this big playground is awesome for older kids. But it's a bit too advanced/scary for a 3-year-old. Meanwhile, the little playground was too simple/easy for her. So there's a middle age that isn't really catered to. But, great for 2-year-olds and 5+. There are also multiple parks with playgrounds within a short driving distance (Champion, Olson Meadows) so you can easily park hop.
