Bed Bath & Beyond to me I though was a bathroom store but to my surprise when I walked in they had…read moreeverything. Yes the majority of the store focused on bathroom accessories, towels and shower curtains but as well they had bedroom duvet set, pictures everything. The Kitchen section was huge and great deals. Alot on sale and alot on clearance which was throughout the store randomly, it was great. I actually found those Yankee Car Sent things which are very hard to find and I got them three for $5.99. I really do like this store and can see myself going back for shower gifts or even presents for the girls as they have some really pretty things there. Picture frames are beautiful. It is hard to go into all these stores and not buy buy buy. Well I guess I need a house first that might be a start. Great Store!

No, it will be because I'm hopelessly addicted to home necessity stores like Bed Bath & Beyond. Like, seriously. I genuinely find it bewildering that the staff here don't instantly recognize me and let out a hushed, "Father's home..." as I walk in the door. I find myself in this store very often. Now, part of this is because I inherited a love for all things kitchen. Perhaps the greatest similarity between me and my mother is the fact that we both have an appliance or tool for pretty much any food thing you can think of. Need to crack and separate an egg at the same time, while keeping your hands clean? I've got you covered. Want to process a small amount of frozen banana slices to make ice cream? Use my mini food processor. (Use my regular food processor for larger batches.) Baking some cookies? Don't worry, I have enough Silpats for you to bake continuously for about five months. It should be obvious that a store like this is a clear danger to my bank account. Unfortunately, I have a car and no self-control. I should get to the actual review part of this: Come here if you're looking to get something for your home and don't mind paying a bit extra for it to not be Zellers quality. A dish rack at BBB, for example, can run between $18 and $80. (Which one do you think I own?) Come here if you're looking for some of the most random crap for your house that you had no idea was an absolute necessity. Like the cutting board that folds up a bit to make transferring chopped up veggies easier! Come here if you have some free time and love to fantasize about owning everything and how much better your life would be if you took the plunge and bought that $100 shower caddy. (THINK OF THE EXTRA SOAP SPACE!) Also, come here if you already went to Home Outfitters and they didn't have what you want. They're right across the street and you never know, right? Otherwise, just go to Wal-Mart or JYSK and be happy that you're saving a little bit of money. (Pro tip: Sign up for the newsletter and occasionally receive a coupon for 20% off one item.)

A neighbour had used them with their reno and on their recommendation and after viewing their kitchen along with some other research and visits to competitors we contacted Patti and started the design work. She was easy to work with, had great ideas, listened to ours, and gave us good advice on the other aspects of our reno. The manufacture and installation was the same story; on time, high quality, and looking great. They were hand built in their shop behind the showroom with great joinery, style, and finish options, and it shows in the results. The owners are hands on from the design through to the installation and we thus now have truly custom made cabinets that are beautifully designed and crafted, professionally installed, and at a pretty fair price to boot. We are very happy clients. Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. My Husband and I had bought a new home (first and last new home I will ever own), and we were SO excited to have some renovations done to make it a little more inviting for us. We hired Payzant's Home Hardware in Lower Sackville to put in cupboards in our kitchen including a lazy susan garbage area and a dishwasher. We also had them rip out carpeting and install laminate flooring throughout the top floor of our home and install a hot water tank. There were so very many issues, it would be an extremely long read for anyone, so I will sum it up in bullet point. - I scheduled the movers for several days after the flooring was supposed to be completed. The day before the movers were due to arrive, the work was still not completed, and they did not even come to work that day. On the morning of the move, I called to ensure the workers had masks on as we were going to be there (I am immune compromised). I was assured they would have masks, but when we arrived, there was only one person working, with no mask, and he ended up being underfoot when the movers where trying to bring stuff into the house. - When they removed the carpet upstairs there was a very sticky substance all over the floors. The installation crew did not bother to try and protect the other floors in our home. They walked all through the main level of our home and the carpeted stairs. They did have a steam cleaning company in to clean the stairs, but we are still trying to get the stuff off the laminate flooring. - We were not asked to pick out a dishwasher, so we asked what dishwasher we were getting in advance and were told a Frigidaire. We like that brand so we never said anything further about it. When the installation was complete, imagine our surprise to discover it was a GE they installed. They came back and switched to a better model. - When installing the new flooring they discovered a hole in the floor where the railing was and told us the railing had to go and they could not use it again. We paid close to $2000.00 for a new section of railing. When they installed it, they drilled holes in the wrong spots for each spindle and neglected to nail in some of the pieces of wood in the top rail (and used the wrong nails when they did). They came back and nailed in the pieces of wood on the top. - They drilled two holes in the wrong spot in our new cupboards for our lazy susan. So right out in front there are two obvious holes. They did try to fill them and hide them, but you can still see it. - On our very first visit we were told we would need handles for the door cupboards, but the person we worked with was in a hurry so it was going to have to wait for another day. That day never came, and we were not asked again. When they installed the cupboards, they came and asked us where the handles were, and we didn't have any. They had to come back and do that too. Which was okay because one of the people installing took home a piece of our cupboard in his pocket, so they had to come back anyway. I could go on, there was more. The customer service was very much lacking. We were made to feel as though they were doing us a favour. We had to have people in our home so many times when it should not have been necessary. In the end, we have expensive new railing with holes in between every spindle, we have holes in our new cupboards, and some sort of a substance all over our floors. After weeks of trying to get things settled with the general manager, he offered us $250.00 off of the total invoice, which was over $20,000.00. I told him he was missing a zero, and he could either provide proper compensation for the damaged items in our home; or, come install new railing and a new cupboard. He responded by telling me if we didn't pay in 15 days, they would put a lien on our new home. I went to the BBB and they tried to get a response but had no luck. We paid, but I would never EVER recommend anyone use their services!
