I had one of my top three massages ever with Lara last weekend. It was the perfect blend of muscle work and firm but gentle massage with the result that I was completely invigorated and utterly relaxed at the end of my session. Lara's knowledge of the anatomy generally and especially muscles and joints from her many years as a yoga trainer and teacher clearly distinguished her work from any other massage I have ever experienced. I highly recommend Lara for both yoga instruction and massage. Besides her excellent work, she is friendly and professional. My massage with Lara Wardwas easily a 5 star experience.

Her attentiveness and the detail of her instruction varies on the students' needs. Her teaching style was firm, focused and yet energetically calming. I found myself pushing myself to do better and feeling good about it. I can only imagine that the other classes and their instructors are just as good. I read some reviews about how this is a legit yoga spot and I'm so glad we checked it out. I'm always a fan of places that put the work in the services they offer; as opposed to investing in the beautification and aesthetics of the place but offering subpar service. The studio is lovely - on the second story of a historic building on Bank Street right in downtown New Milford - with big windows and a great view of the mountains. They have a great variety of classes, and classes both in the morning and the evening. All of this is great news for yoga enthusiasts. But. The thing that is going to make you fall in love with Ah Yoga and keep returning (even if you live 1500 miles away) are the instructors. Anne and Elora and all of the teachers are so caring and so dedicated to their craft - you are made to feel welcome and secure from the moment you walk in the space. Good comradery among the students too. It's a great little community and one of the things I really look forward to when planning a trip back to New Milford.
