I decided to book this with my bestfriend, as we were spending the day together for my birthday, and she was recently diagnosed with a terminal autoimmune illness. This is a guided meditation that was a DIFFERENT LEVEL!!!! I cannot tell you enough from the moment you walk in, you feel the peace and serenity in all aspects. Kelly was absolutely amazing and just gives off this unreal relaxing aura,-you just know you are going to feel absolutely at peace, especially within. Kelly took the time to get to know each of us and exactly what heaviness- life was putting on us. I could not believe how much Kelly really listened, and understood what we were feeling. Kelly made sure we were very comfortable and did not rush or give us any type of feeling that we were an "appointment". From beginning to end, she took the time to really listen and validate our feelings being woman and mothers. I actually got a little emotional during the mediatation, because it just took me to a place mentally, that I have missed and it gave me a feeling of having control, of my peace and wellbeing IN MIND, BODY, AND SOUL! My best friend had never done guided meditation, and so this resonated with her. My bestie's mindset about her illness, is a much more clear and optimistic. I bought a gift certificate for my cousin just last week, who is so excited to meet with Kelly and learn the various wellness practices Soma offers. I vowed to myself that this will be part of my self care- I deserve this all the time not just because it was my birthday! So when my wife first mentioned a couples massage at this place, I was...apprehensive, to say the least. :| So having never actually had an actual massage, I have no point of reference here as far as judging how "good" it was, I can only go by how good it seemed, and it seemed really good! The place is basically like a converted house and is super cozy, that helped a lot initially as I kind of felt relaxed in the space right out of the gate. We were greeted by the 2 masseuses (masseurs? No idea honestly but they were both chicks), and walked upstairs into the couples room. The room itself was SUPER chill, like dimly lit, trippy music playing, essential oils misting, etc. etc. Really wild. The thing I didn't notice initially was that when we first walked in, it felt too warm...maybe? But once things got moving, it was actually perfect. They instructed us to disrobe as much as we were "comfortable", which for me was not disrobing at all. I was actively told by my wife that was NOT, in fact, an option. They also offered to let us use the bathroom across the hall if need be. Pro Tip here: When they offer, if there is ANY part of you that thinks you might even need to use it just a LITTLE, you should do that. Let's just leave it at that. About 5 minutes later they came back in and got started. So they basically like work your back, arms, legs, etc. Then flip you over and do like the front of your legs, arms, head neck etc. It seemed very structured and planned out in a certain way, which I appreciated. Again, having nothing to compare it to, I can only say how it was for me. And for me, it was freaking amazing. The best money I've ever spent on any kind of like "luxury thing". Felt like a completely new man afterward and have been back twice since. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of the people that worked on us, but at this point, I'm pretty sure that no matter who you get, you'll be happy. Also, I elected to pass on the feet and glutes option cuz no way that's ever happening, but my wife did not and highly recommends that you do not either!
