Wish I could give zero stars. Kent's showed up 5 minutes ahead of AAA. With AAA sitting there, he demanded $250 in cash to put the car back down into the parking lot. All with a smile on his face the whole time. I explained he had a 22 year old girl's car on his flatbed (who was 2 hours from her home). He smiled that it would be over $300 once it gets to his place. Also cash only. I had a few choice words for him and he drove off missing my feet by inches. I got pulled over for an issue with the DMV, and the police recommended this company. even though they knew I had a pet in my 2004 honda accord , they took my car with the dog inside. I don't know what exactly they did, but when I came as fast as I could from the station, I found my dog blown to bits. why did you obliterate my dog. The worst part is they were smiling the whole time. the man tried to shake my hand, and casually asked for $450 + a tip as he gestured to my scattered K9 remains. 0/10 don't recommend, wish I could rate lower. diabolical!!!!! read more

Something should be done about this company. I've read more bad reviews than good. They totally took advantage of my son and I. I borrowed my sons car and ran off the road so I called my son who came in my car and the Amhert police and they called Kents. When they got there I told them I had AAA but they said it was my sons car so it was his responsibility. They towed the car out and said it was $300 and he said he didnt have it so Kents saod they would keep it till he could come up with the money and that it would be $75 a day. This was on a Saturday at 6pm, we went to garage at 12:30 on Sunday and they told him it was $450. This is not right. Good people are getting ripped off so they can line their pockets. read more

This company employs EXTREMELY dangerous drivers. Today I was driving eastbound on 101 near Candia/Raymond NH. I was in the left lane going over 75mph, in order to pass a line of cars in the right lane. One of the LARGE Kent flatbed tow trucks, plate number 219-1460, came up behind my car at what must have been a speed of around 90 mph. The driver of the Kent truck then drove that truck to about a foot away from my rear bumper. He was so close that I was unable to see anything other than the grill of the truck in my rear view mirror. To make it even more dangerous he did all of this while towing a blue Ford Expedition (Maine plate number 1444-VW). Once I was finally able to pull into the right lane the truck sped by me with the driver giving me the middle finger through the window. The driver of that truck put my life and the life of all of those around me in danger today. Looking through reviews I see other stories of similar behavior by the employees driving the Kent trucks around. It is unacceptable that this company has been and is continuing to employ drivers that are trying to kill people. read more

Kent's came to our rescue last Friday. Drifted into a parking lot, luckily. And we called AAA & they dispatched the awesome & quick, Kent's tow truck. He knew how to lift & release a very low to the ground Subaru WRX. Pulled out ramps & wedges & all sorts of good stuff. They know us on sight, give us free rides home and have done many, many things above-and-beyond. My wife was involved in a accident and needed to be towed out. We have AAA and they refused to bring it to the body shop. I set up everything with my insurance company and they still wouldn't bring it over. It's been sitting in their lot to rack up a bill. I should have listened to my friends advice to not deal with this company. They were dispatched to tow my disabled truck. (blown head gasket). I wasn't present when the driver arrived.The serpentine belt had been removed and he decided to start my truck and drive it onto the flatbed rather than pull it on. No one asked him to jump start it which possibly further damaged the engine. Who does that ? Not sure how these guys stay in business but would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Waiting in line at Dunkin Donuts on RT 101 in the center of Milford. Kent's truck #17 with an an old man driver and young kid passenger attempted to pull in and realize he made a mistake halfway through and is stuck halfway on the road. Driver of truck 17 decides he will just stare at me in disgust as if it is my fault he prematurely tried to pull in to the parking lot. When he get out of his truck he walks by window and murmurs "tough guy" and continues to walk away. I rolled down my window to confront the driver and he continued to have words with me blaming me for his poor driving mistake. (He was trying to pull in behind me and didn't have enough room until the line moved forward). Completely unprofessional. Not to mention the speed of which they travel down N River Rd by my house on a daily basis. This company is reckless and their drivers are immature and unprofessional. read more

Avoid this tow company at all cost. Their driver entered route 3 south bound with a car on his flat bed tow truck. He was behind me. As we got into traffic he shot across all 5 lanes into the high speed lane causing other cars to brake and avoid his crazy moves. He was tailgating other cars at speeds over 70 MPH in a 55 zone. (I have it all on dash cam). I called the company and actually reached the guy driving the truck. He hung up on me once as I tried to register a complaint about his driving. I called him back and was very rude and unconcerned. He asked me if I was a cop. I responded by saying "You'll never know". I am a professional driver. He is not. If you want to give you car to someone like this, fine. If you care about your car and others on the road move on to one of the many other tow companies. This driver is dangerous. read more

To start. If I could have given zero stars I would have. I unfortunately got stuck in a ditch at 3:30 am and Kent's was the first place I contacted because my insurance found them. In 13 degree weather while it was actively snowing I didn't have good service and was worried my phone would die so I decided to call Kent's and ask them what time they thought they'd be able to get to me. I live 5 minutes away from this company. VERY RUDELY I was told " you were told 2.5 hours. " and so I said okay is there any chance you'll be here sooner do you think? And I got "no. You were told 2.5 hours and I've been up for fuckin 20 hours!" And I didn't even know what to do! I needed someone! So I said "oh....okay...sorry" and he just says "Yep." After I got off the phone I was so angry and frazzled that I decided to find someone else. I canceled Kent's and paid OUT OF POCKET to another company because Kent's decided to be extremely rude and not understanding of my situation. I understand being busy but that is no way to treat someone and I cannot believe they think it's okay to do that. I was in the dark, in a ditch and freezing with snow coming down. I instead called Kinney's in Amherst and they were there 15 minutes after I called. They said they'd be there in about 45 min! I was later contacted by Kent's and 7 am because my insurance company must not have contacted them in time to tell them it was canceled. 7 AM. So I would have still been waiting. I absolutely do not recommend Kent's unless you want to be treated like an inconvenience. Worst possible experience in an already bad situation. Thanks Kent's. read more

HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!! STAY FAR AWAY. THEY ARE CROOKS! My truck was towed here from Merrimack NH. I called and was told it was going to be $650.00 for the tow and $150.00 a day for storage and they would only take cash. The guy on the phone was nasty and rude. I wouldn't even consider him in the realm of being a human being. They are the lowest of the low. I'm shocked they are still in business with the their lack of morals and ethics. If they were ever to read this review I'm sure those words are too big for Neanderthal vocabulary. Giving them a one on the rating scale is being generous. Two bad experiences with Kent's towing. They didn't bother collecting from AAA and instead charged ME the full amount. Also, had a car at their place for less than 12 hrs and they charged a storage fee. I was leaving my house for work the other day when one of their drivers (pretty sure it was the owner) drove up behind me, tailgating and swerving - on a quiet dirt road! This continued all the way down the road and then he tried to pass me turning left off of the dirt road. (I'm a competent, not-slow driver so he really had NO reason to be driving so aggressively). This is the second time road side assistance called kents towing to pick up my vehicle. The first time it took kents 4 hours and they still didnt pick it up. Then roadside assistance called kinney towing and they picked it up and was at my house withing 10 minutes. Very nasty person. My daughter went there for a sticker and was failed for a ball joint that was not bad. the knuckle had a loose bolt. I replaced the bolt and fixed the problem. she went back for a reinspection and was treated poorly. He used foul language and made her cry. I am a 30 year master tech in the auto business and a mass state inspector. I know a bum when I see one. read more

Think twice before using this company!!! My 18 year old son was in NH playing hockey and needed assistance (no family or friends in NH) getting his car out of the snow. He phoned this company and they sent a truck out which was a total distance of 3 miles. The service person "pushed" his car out and did not use the truck itself. They charged my son $75. and did not present a receipt for payment. I phoned and spoke with the business owner, Kent Sheldon, and expressed my thoughts regarding the fee and felt he had taken advantage of the situation. He was very rude and did not seem to want to resolve the situation. When asked if he ran his business on referrals, he replied, "I have been in business for 17 years, I don't need referrals." In my opinion, and as a business owner myself, I find this to be unacceptable!!! AAA called this company to tow my car. They arrived 30 minutes late and ended up towing it to the wrong garage. When I called to let them know and get someone to go back and bring it to the right place, the owner, Kent, was unbelievably rude. He told me I was being "ugly" and hung up on me. When I called back, I was shocked to find out I had been speaking with the owner! I was a repeat customer and when I asked him how he would dare to hang up on a customer all he said was that I was "yelling" at him. Keep in mind that following a previous service his employee had dropped my check in my driveway. I found it days later and called them to let them know. The driver who came to get it said that they would never have noticed it missing if I hadn't been so honest. Wow - Reading all these complaints I am stunned this guy is still in business. So, join me in my mission to present to the Town of Milford all information which will lead to their business and towing license being revoked. My car was in Shaw's Plaza in Milford to be towed 4 miles to Meineke. It was 5:30p and the ETA was 9:45p. I instructed my insurance company to allow them to tow without me being there. Called Meineke the next day and the vehicle was not there. Called Kents, and he said there were no instructions allowing them to tow without me being there. I asked his first and last name so I could file a complaint and he said "all you're getting is Kent". He stated the "PO is closed" and I would need to open another. So I asked if that was so he could get twice for one tow and he responded "My truck was there so I get paid". I called my insurance company and they faxed me the PO. It does clearly state they can tow without me being there. I imagine he and his wife are just too dumb to read (have you seen her!!?!? YUCK!). So, I am bringing the PO and his statement that he wanted to get paid twice for one tow to what licensing authority oversees their business with the claim of willful fraud. At the very least they will fine him so he has to take money out of his sleazy pockets. At best, his business/towing license will be revoked.
