I made an appointment to see a vehicle and the sales rep was 25 min late. I was lied to by everyone that I spoke with as to where he was and why he was late. First it was he was out gassing up the vehicle then it was the vehicle ran out of gas and then when the rep finally showed up he told me that the battery died because the car ran out of gas. The vehicle I went to see was not in running condition and unavailable for a test drive. I contacted both the general manager and sales manager via email and after 2 days I received zero reply. Extremely disappointing experience. I placed a deposit after agreeing on terms, only to face major delivery delays, poor communication, and constant follow‑ups on my end. When the vehicle finally arrived, the dealership drastically changed the terms and attempted to push a far more expensive deal. To Julio, the service manager. Attached are pictures of how my service was. When I got home from picking up my Jeep from your service, I went to check my oil and when cooled down my coolant level. What I found was, * The wiring harness was resting on the steering shaft. I re attached the harness clamp to the bracket. * Then I noticed that the bracket was not tightened and that the nuts were only started on the threads. I tightened up the bracket nuts. * Then I noticed that there were two bolts on top of the cowl !! Where are these supposed to be ?? * Then there was the air intake to throttle body that was not connected. Overall, this was not a good experience. This was a very expensive repair and I do not have confidence in the work that was performed. Please review and comment. I did not receive any response. Service sales rep scams me on $1600. I needed simple alignment about $120. 90 mins after start of the job he came over and said: "I stopped mechanics and you need to replace parking brake shoes". (about $1600, which is twice more expensive than average market price) He didn't say that expensive service is not needed to complete the cheap one and kept pushing, even though I expressed multiple times that it is too expensive for me. Beware of sales department. Cody was very pleasant and accommodating through text and phone calls regarding the purchase of a new 2024 Jeep Gladiator Willys. Their price was discounted the LEAST off MSRP than any other dealership, but they had the color we wanted. We had a discount code from Jeep.com for $1000 and qualified for an addition $500 rebate. The day we were going to pick up the vehicle, Cody revealed the $1000 would not be honored. I stated in that case we were going to purchase at another dealer. It was more expensive, but had more options and a better deal overall. He offered to throw in a tonneau cover, he claimed was a $1000 value. Then I received a text saying....no, it was a $1000 more and no cover! Apparently, he couldn't find the vehicle I was referring to because the other dealer had it incorrectly listed as a Sport, not a Wiilys. He basically inferred I was a liar. I live in Milford so I tried to buy a car from the folks at Contemporary. The salesman they passed me off to was new that day and knew very little about Jeep products. Ultimately I found a car three years newer for 3K less at another dealer. Thought I'd give their service department a try though for an easy replacement of a lamp assembly that was under warranty. The service manager I spoke with couldn't seem to understand the difference between a bulb (not covered under warranty) and a lamp assembly (covered under warranty.) My recommendation...when you get to Contemporary Auto, keep driving! read more

My husband and I went in today to look at a car and we were not impressed with Chad. We pointed out the rips in the leather and the dent on the door and he said "it is what it is." Shocked by the cold reply, we also noticed the car was missing some key features that were removed from the previous owner, Chad was not willing to negotiate. Three hours after coming in to our appointment to get an oil change and noisy heater fan, we are still here. No communication from service until only a moment ago were finally approached. They said they only just then had started making calls to see what was covered. The oil change and bulb replacement had not even been done. It is certainly not busy. Only one.other service customer here who is also outraged Furthermore, we had been told that a courtesy car would be available. It is not. The staff are avoidant and rude. Sean especially. When we asked why it hadn't been looked at yet and was told by Sean that he " went to lunch and thought somebody would have looked at it." No one did. And nonchalantly scurried away before we could ask anything else. This place is wildly unprofessional and arrogant. I had to go to another dealership to get my car fixed because of the way the General Manager, Russell Coutu, of this dealership in Milford NH (Contemporary Chrysler Dodge) treats his customers!!! I also submitted a complaint to Chrysler Dodge about this person this weekend!!! I called this Chrysler/Dodge dealership in Milford NH to talk to them about getting my UConnect system, which was failing, fixed/replaced at Chrysler's expense because the car only had 24,000 miles on it which is WAY UNDER the 36,000 mile warranty and the car was only ~6 months past the 3 year mark but the car was still 3 years old...AND other people who were actually beyond the 36,000 mile mark and/or 3 year mark got theirs fixed at Chrysler's expense...plus I found out that Chrysler has known about this problem for years & did nothing AND there is actually a Class Action Law suit going on because of this problem. I told him that I had been communicating with "DodgeCares" on the Challenger forum about this & DodgeCares told me to take the car to a dealership to get the problem "diagnosed" BUT Russell Coutu said he'd never heard of DodgeCares & said they were probably not affiliated with Dodge/Chrysler (that turned out to be incorrect...they ARE part of Chrysler). Russell Coutu wouldn't work anything out & he was going to make me pay out of pocket!!! He was EXTREMELY rude & obviously doesn't know how to handle nor does he care about unhappy customers. He said right out that it would come out of my pocket so then I got pissed off & told him I may have to start another class action law suit (or there was one guy that was thinking of starting a new one & wanted to know if anyone wanted to be included) and go to social media or local news to warn people not to get a Dodge car because of this & he wasn't helping a VERY unhappy customer ...so he then said he wasn't trying to help me, he didn't want to talk to me, and he doesn't care if I sue or go to social media or local news to warn people to not buy Dodge cars and make a complaint about him...he told me to go ahead and do what I said I was going to do and then gave me his name to make the complaint... Well I ended up getting the car fixed at no expense to me, with a 2-year warranty on the UConnect system...AT ANOTHER DEALERSHIP who did not treat their customers like s#!+. So I am now in the process of going out on the web, social media etc to spread the word/warn people about this person & dealership. If you look at the other bad reviews of this dealership there are several & maybe more than several; (I didn't read through all the reviews) complaining about how the General Manager and others at that dealership treated them as well, verbally etc...so there is a pattern!!! The General Manager, Russell Coutu is a complete looser because of how he mistreats people, specifically customers and should not be in this business because of the way he treats customers!!! read more

In February 2022, I brought my vehicle in for a leaking oil pan seal that was under warrantee. I was informed by the service manager that the vehicle cab, motor and transmission would need to be removed in order to complete the job. I gave the go ahead and brought the vehicle in with expectations of them having it for a week. After three weeks of excuses, I was informed the vehicle was finally ready. I arrived to pick up the vehicle and noticed a low coolant light. The service manager informed me that it was most likely caused by air in the line that prevented them from filling it up which sounded reasonable. They topped of the antifreeze and I drove off the lot. About 10 minutes into the drive home, the engine light came on. I called the service department immediately to inform them that I would be taking the vehicle back. The next morning, I found antifreeze and transmission fluid on the ground underneath the vehicle. I inspected the vehicle for the transmission fluid leak and discovered that it was a loose fitting that was never tightened. I tightened the fitting on the transmission and proceeded to look for the antifreeze leak but could not locate it. The antifreeze level, which I was assured was simply air in the lines, was once again low. So, I proceeded to bring the vehicle back to the dealer. After examining the vehicle, the service manager informed me that the engine light had nothing to do with the repairs they performed and that the radiator was leaking and needed to be replaced. I informed him that neither the engine light or radiator were a problem when the vehicle was brought in for service but he insisted that it had nothing to do with the repairs they performed even though they removed these items to complete the repair. I decided at this point to remove the vehicle from their service department and bring it to another dealer. It was discovered that the antifreeze leak was caused by a clamp that was simply never tightened properly causing fluid to leek out when the engine was cold. They also discovered that a fitting on the fuel pump was leaking. Something I was unaware of. I was informed that this was most likely caused from someone at Contemporary who did not properly disconnect the fuel pump fitting pump before attempting to remove the engine to perform the initial repair. The engine light is still something we are dealing with but it has been determined that it is transmission related. Ironic that this only became a problem after they removed the transmission to perform the initial repair. After all of this, the oil pan seal, which was replaced is now leaking again and will need to be addressed yet again. I am not an unreasonable person and know things will and do go wrong. However, when they do, a reputable company will stand by their work and make things right not make excuses. So, if it's a simple service you need, you will probably be OK. However, If it's anything else, get ready for the runaround from the Contemporary Service Department!! Buyer beware! read more

When I took my first test drive it had a smalll scratch that wasn't really a big deal. When I came back for a second test drive, there were now dents and dings all over the truck, and someone had driven up the side with another truck in the lot. When trying to lower the price to an acceptable level, the manager didn't want to even try and help. He said that if I wanted the paint taken care of, I would have to pay for that. I'm sorry, but how is that my responsibility? For management I wouldn't give them any stars in this review. I would give five stars to the salesman John Erlich. That kid did everything in his pOwer to help me out. He wasn't pushy like most salesman and he was super easy to deal with. I got a letter from Chrysler with an"Important Safety Recall" for my Dodge Truck early in March 2015. I went to Contemporary with the letter. The person at the counter was unable to handle the case and busied himself with other things. After endless minutes he told me that the part is not in stock and has to be ordered and that I would receive a call. Weeks went by-nothing happened-no calls. My husband called in May and wanted to know when the parts would arrive. He got an appointment for May 20, 2015 and was told that they first have to look at the truck whether the part had to be replaced or not. A day before the appointment we drove the truck to the dealer to drop it off. My husband went inside to let the people know that the truck is outside and ready for the next day. My husband then learned that the part has to be replaced for sure but that they "ran out of those parts, which they normally have in stock" and we drove the truck back home. We were told that we will get a call when the parts arrive. Does the part have to be replaced or not? Obviously nobody knows what this recall is about nor do they care to find out. What I know for sure is that if something bad happens due to the faulty part, I will be the new owner of Contemporary Chrysler. I am still waiting for the call with the message that the part has arrived. I bought the truck at Contemporary, but I wouldn't buy another vehicle there. No stars for no service. read more

Terrible customer service! Please read through. I arrived 15 min. early to my 8am scheduled appointment to be told that they will get my vehicle in as soon as they can. I asked Michael "what do you mean, I thought I had an appointment?". Michael tells me that my appointment was for the write up with him and the service guys have a very busy day but he will see what he can do and get back to me at 9am. Not fine but Fine, nothing I can do. But I should have been told this so I could make arrangements to get to work. Fail #1. At 9:20 I head for Michael's post. Fail #2. What happened to 9am? We end up meeting in the middle where he tells me that the technician has done all he can do and they're waiting for an email back from engineering. I sit and wait... 10:30am I head to see Michael. I ask him if he's heard back from engineering. He tells me no. I ask how long does it normally take to hear back. He tells me it could be 5 min. or 5 days, he never knows. Now that's fine I get it, it's out of his control. But... why am I still sitting here for over an hour? He should have given me my truck back, sent me on my way and called me when he heard back from engineering. That's Fail #3. But he didn't so I requested it. I finally leave around 11am 3.25hrs. later with nothing resolved. Now this was on a Tuesday morning. Michael calls me back a week later on Monday. Tells me they need to do more test. We make a scheduled appointment for almost 2 weeks later so he can give me a loaner so I don't have a repeat of the last visit a week ago. Appointment day comes and I head for the dealership. 45 min. travel time to get there. I get a call from Michael. He asks have you left yet. I say yes. He then tells me they don't have a loaner available for me. Fail #4. So I tell him okay I'll head back home. He say's he will call me tomorrow to reschedule. Tomorrow comes and 5 hours into his work day I haven't heard from him. Fail #5. So I call. I'm told Michael is out to lunch can I help you. I explained the situation to the guy on the other side of the phone and he has this (no skin off my back attitude). Hey says I can reschedule you but I can't guarantee I can get you a loaner. Fail #6. Now I'm not impressed. I just bought this truck from them a month ago. So I figured I'd should bring it back to them so they can get the warranty work instead of taking it to a closer Ram dealer who I didn't purchase from. I tell the guy on the other end of the phone forget it. I've been dealing with this for 3 weeks now and you can't make arrangements with 2 weeks notice for a loaner? again, I get no understanding from him. Just a smug sorry (no skin off his back attitude). Fail #7. And to top it off I get this email wanting me to write a review for them. So now here it is 3 hours after I was told Michael was at lunch and I still haven't heard from Michael. I have taken this all in stride without losing my temper. I don't deserve this crap, no paying customer of theirs does. I could see another side to it if I was being difficult but I haven't been. So what gives guys? Sold me the truck and now customer service goes out the window? Crazy! Over 3 weeks in on this service call with no results and they can't guarantee a loaner for a day. Terrible service I'd say. I am as happy owner of a 2017 fiat 124 spider Abarth. I live in Chicago and purchased my vehicle here in Chicago. While vacationing out east I picked up a screw in my reAr tire resulting in a slow leak. Called the nearest Fiat dealer in NH as that was my destination ( Contemporary of Milford) and spoke to Greg on a Monday at around noon or 1300 hrs. Explained my situation and he stated they did not have my OEM tire in stock but could order it and have the next day with an appointment for change out at 1300 hrs. Greg did not ask for a CC deposit etc. I booked the job and headed to Milford. I was in Hyannis Mass at the time and when Greg found out he offered to direct me to a Boston area Fiat dealership instead to which declined. I arrived at the Milford dealership at 1000 hrs and just wanted to let Greg know I had arrived and was prepared to go to lunch etc. Greg confirmed they had the tire delivered and could get to me right away and on the road. In less than an hour I was out of the dealership and back on vacation Can't beat that. My truck failed inspection because the tire was moving back and forth almost 1/4" ! The same axle seal they replaced was also leaking again. The mechanic showed me where the axle nut was extremely loose because the mechanic at contemporary dodge didn't tighten it correctly therefore making the seal go bad. He was able to spin the axle nut over 2 complete turns! I'm glad it didn't fall off while driving. read more

I sat there for over an hour waiting to sign the paperwork on a new Dodge Ram pickup. (was told its @ 20 minutes), only to have your sales manager Bryan, pull a last-second smoke-n-mirror sideshow with the trade-in #. I made a verbal agreement 3+ hours earlier with the Finance Manager (he called me that morning to finalize the sale) , for a set amount, less trade-in # I was given 2 weeks prior. Now, at the 11th hour, he's snake-oiling me out of $2500. I immediately stormed out. No phone call or return email from anyone for the remainder of that Friday. Next morning, I was called by Bryan, who attempted to talk his way out of this mess his Company created. He was agitated at the Facebook posting of my experience, and demanded I remove it immediately. He then went on to say, (...You're a local business owner) "I could call all the people I know, in all the surrounding towns, to get online and sh**talk YOUR business''....on speaker phone, for my wife and son to witness. I bought a Dodge Charger from the dealership a year ago. Originally in the deal, it was included in the deal that the climate control was to be fixed as I noticed there was an issue with the passenger side air conditioning not working too well. I was told it was not a big deal, probably just something that needed to be cleaned or a small motor to be replaced--nothing to worry about or cancel the deal over (my mistake). Fast forward a year of going back and forth just trying to get my passenger side air conditioning fixed by the service department who claimed they could do nothing until I could duplicate the problem for the although I've explained numerous times it happens at random. Finally fed up I drove straight from work to the dealership without shutting off my car to provide them the car with the problem duplicated. They "fix" the problem and I pay a $50 fee with my extended warranty. Fast forward 8 days it stops working and again I have to come back for probably the 6th time. I'm fed up but FINALLY this nightmare is over and I can NEVER deal with this dealership again. But just to my luck I pick up my car. AC is working but there is a gigantic crack in my windshield the service department is not taking responsibility for. The dealership will not take responsibility for it because I drove 2 minutes down the road off the lot (I noticed the crack when I adjusted my mirror driving). I did not know it was the customers job to reinspect their vehicles in the lot before driving off after having a service. I brought the car straight back after noticing the crack and was greeted by a service manager who could care less and tried to tell me in the 2 minutes I drove down the road a rock hit my windshield or a I already had a crack (false my car was in perfect condition when it was dropped off) and it magically spread while in their care. After getting angry and raising my voice and dropping curses while going back and forth with the service manager who belittled me and called me a "little girl", I managed to have them agree to review the tapes. Of course after reviewing these tapes they still are standing their ground that this damage magically happened in the two minutes I drove off the lot. Bottom line, my vehicle was damaged under their care and now I have to come out of my pocket for it. This business is deplorable and disgusting. Please go elsewhere. read more

I was looking for a particular town and country and found it here. Since I live in CT I dealt with Max on the phone. I had a set price in mind and after some negotiations(note not 5 star rating) and also hitting the day of the month they lower prices to meet sales quotas, we were happy with the price. Upon arrival I dealt with Ben and he seemed like a very nice honest person. He explained features for me and encouraged me to watch the video----definitely do this as this helps explain all the settings. For example there is no spare and video shows how to fill tire with sealant and then air. I would recommend asking for Ben or talking to him on the phone. This is my 2nd town and country and for us the comfort and features---especially stow and go are hard to beat. read more

Recently moved to NH from MA and needed an inspection sticker. My car failed due to a "lose wheel bearing" which my boyfriend fixed and said there was nothing wrong with. My car never failed once in MA. We make an appointment for a week in advance, only to show up to our appointment and be told they are in the process of moving and can't do it today. My daughter purchased a used car that was new on their lot. Turns out it needed a lot of work. Initially, they were very supportive, but she waited several weeks for the first repair because they ordered a part for a different model Dodge. Meanwhile, her power steering was threatening to go any day. Next she took it in to have several issues assessed, including a problem with the all-wheel drive. They presented her with an estimate of $1200. She took the estimate to our local garage (which is excellent, by the way) and had one of the items repaired for less than half the estimate. She then took it to Hillsboro Chrysler for an estimate for the all-wheel drive repair. Imagine her surprise when she was told it would cost her nothing because it's still under the powertrain warranty. I do not recommend them at all. read more

I would give 0-zero- stars if I could. I went in for warranty items on my 2007 jeep liberty. My local mechanic had previously diagnosed the engine warranty issue. My local mechanic said do not go to Contemporary in Milford for this work, go to Bonneville in Manchester because of quality of reputation and ease of dealing with them. I didn't want to drive the vehicle to Manchester with the engine work that needed to be done so I went to Contemporary thinking how bad could it be? It was horrible! (My local mechanic takes his jeep to Bonneville in Manchester.) I also was having window issues. I told them since these are all warranty issues I would not pay any money for the repairs. Minutes, prior to leaving my car I signed their paperwork stating I would not authorize any diagnostic work nor repairs on the windows unless it was fully paid for by the warranty. I stopped in at the dealership later in the day. I was told the cost of all the window repairs totaling almost $700.00! Or told I had to pay approximately $98 for their diagnostic service. The paper work I signed said not to do any diagnostics because I would not pay for them! The warranty on the engine was pre-approved prior to arriving. Since I told them I wouldn't pay the $98 window diagnostic nor the almost $700 window repair, even though I did not authorize the work when I left the car, they did not do any window work. They then refused to do my engine work! On top of it all the left the door panel off and put in the back of my jeep! So I had to wait once more while they put the door panel back on. They refused to give me a copy of the work order I signed saying I didn't authorize any work if I had to pay for it. I filed a complaint with Jeep headquarters and the told me it would be dealt with internally and the regional people would be advised of the situation. If I could give negative stars I would give a -3. My issues go back to November 2014, when I bought my 06 Dodge Charger. I was thrilled with our experience with the sales dept, specifically Hank. He made the car buying experience wonderful. Where my disappointment comes in is with the Services department (which does seem to be the theme). When we purchased the car, it failed the inspection!!! Not sure how a car that has been put on the lot for sale with a "certified pre-owned" sticker can fail (I'm sure that a car taken in on trade would be inspect-able, and cleared for resale......right?!) None the less the car failed, and we had an appointment to go to as it was getting late in the evening. We were assured that it would be all sorted out, and to bring the car back, they just needed to contact the previous owner. When we test drove the car and checked it out it was day light, when we left with the car it was dark; that was when I noticed a good portion of the dash lights in the center console were out. I brought the car back, and again they could not get it passed.... for weeks. I was told they would fix the lights in the center console.... In the end I told them they needed to put a sticker on it ASAP pass or not due to a family emergency in Canada. They took it in for a few days to put a sticker on it. I got a call from Bill (the service manager at the time) saying that they had done a factory reset on my car and that it wouldn't start, that they have a call in to the previous owner for help. Apparently the former owner had the programmer and programs that were in the car and came to help out. I got a call that my car was ready and they had allegedly fixed the lights in the console. When I got my car back I had to pay out of pocket for the tire pressure sensors that were missing on my car which was not cheap. Only some on my center console lights were fixed, then my heat didn't work properly and the car fogs up when there is more than one person in the car (which is a safety issue because I can't see, and the defroster does nothing to fix it) the engine idling erratically and wasn't running the way it did when I bought it. When I got back from Canada I called to let them know I was back and we could continue to figure out why the car wouldn't pass the State inspection. I didn't receive any calls back so I took my car to my mechanic (who I trust) and had him go over my car, he said that the front brakes were bad, the front bushings were shot, it wasn't idling right, the transmission was slipping due to miss-communication from the program and there were flat spots, as well as the center console lights weren't working, and that the defroster wasn't working. 3 weeks went by before I got a call back from Contemporary, and that I'm sure was due to the email my husband sent to the General Manager. After a run around from the previous owner who charged Contemporary for the programmer that really should have been with the car anyway (which if the car had been gone over when it was traded in, they would have known about all the mods done to the car) and days upon days of them having my car (15 to be exact, thankfully they got me a rental (mind you that was our stipulation in the email to the GM)) they had to send my car out to a dyno and tune shop in MA, who got the program to run right. However I had told Bill the service manager that the battery was junk and that at single digit temps the car wouldn't start and needed to be jumped, also I gave him the list of issues my mechanic found. He told me that they would see to all of that before it went to the dyno.... they didn't. They had my car for two weeks and did nothing to it until after it came back from the dyno and tune then only replaced the front bushings and told me I have to pay a deductible because it went to my extended warranty. The first day I got it back it really seemed to be doing well, then we had another cold snap and again I had to jump start my car, and now the program isn't running right again, it stalls constantly, the idle is all over the place again, and I had to buy and replace the battery myself. I have had more help from Dave at the dyno and tune place than anybody. I am furious beyond words. I may not be an expert at cars, but I am certainly not a novice either!!! I do NOT like being given the run around, patronized or pacified. I expect that when I go to a dealership to buy a car, that it has been gone over to ensure it is in good condition for resale, I expect that if there is a problem with said vehicle with in the 3 month warranty period that came with the vehicle that it will be dealt with accordingly and without hassle. Especially when the issue was within DAYS of being purchased. Contemporary Chrysler Dodge Jeep did not fix my car, and to add insult to injury the GM told me that they would NOT do anything further to my car. I have more to say, but am out of room. VERY DISGUSTED!!! Stay away, go to Amati Group instead. read more
