In my recent experience they brought us a bottle of water shortly after sitting but no glasses to pour the water into. 20 mins later we finally received glasses for our water after going to the bar and asking, only to be told that she was filling them. 10 mins later a basket of dinner rolls was brought to us with no plates to put them on. After another 10 mins of wonder if our meal was on the way, we decided to just start eating the dinner rolls. 15 mins later they came around with a cart and asked if someone wanted beef. I took the beef but the three ladies at my table preferred chicken so I paused to eat but figured with the delays that they wouldn't be coming soon and decided to eat. It took the sponsor of our event to tell the staff that there were three people at this table who needed a plate. By that time, I had already finished my meal, the server had taken my plate, and nobody was hungry anymore. We decided to go elsewhere for a meal after paying our respects to the family. Totally unacceptable for a catered meal to be so mismanged and delayed. I would not recommend this business to anyone nor return for even a free meal. You deserve better!

From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Nikki greeted us, took the time to explain their wines and tasting options, and made us feel right at home. A little while later, the owner, who is also named Nikki, came over to introduce herself. Both of these ladies were incredibly kind, down-to-earth, and passionate about what they do. What was supposed to be a quick stop turned into two wonderful hours of conversation, laughter, and wine tasting. I've visited quite a few wineries over the years, but this one truly stood out. I loved how unique and creative the wines were. They weren't afraid to offer something different, with wines like Corn Cob, Daylily, and Rose Petal Tea. I know some of those might sound unusual, but they're absolutely worth trying with an open mind. My personal favorite was the Blackberry Truffle--it was unlike anything I've ever tasted and, without question, the bottle I couldn't leave without. One thing I also appreciated was that they had beer available for anyone in the group who isn't a wine drinker, making it a place everyone can enjoy. More than anything, what made this visit so memorable wasn't just the wine--it was the people. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind this winery, and that kind of hospitality is something you don't forget. If you ever find yourself in Bardstown, I can't recommend McIntyre & Family Winery enough. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, and I already know we'll be back.

My husband and I love stopping in here when we are near Bardstown because it is so different from your typical winery. All of their wines are made from the berries, fruit, etc that they are named after and not with grapes, so it is always fun to try the different wines they offer. We brought our friends with us this time since we were all on our way to Heaven Hill for a distillery tour together. They had a fun time for their first visit and we both ended up purchasing a bottle of their corn cob wine (we also got a semi-sweet cranberry wine). Shannon (or maybe her name was Sharon) was so friendly and kept us laughing with jokes during our tasting. She gave us some tips on what wines paired well together or with a cocktail. She also told us how long some of the wines take to make, where they source some of their berries, etc. Can't wait until our next visit!

The only downside is that the theater doesn't have a big billboard or street sign. It's about two blocks off the main road, so if you're not from the area, you might miss the turn. His plane was late, so he wasn't able to take the stage until later, but he is born and bred Kentucky and put on a phenomenal show. It's not cool to follow all the signs to the amphitheater parking only to be in the middle of NOWHERE, and not even close to the amphitheater. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes or so for a bus to pick up as many people that could fit, to drive us to the place. There's lines because they check ID's and everyone must get a bracelet. It was an extremely strange way of herding everyone in for the concert, and at the end of the evening it just felt unsafe having to get back to our vehicle. Although, Dwight Yoakum was the very first completely sold out concert this venue has had thus far, so hopefully the parking situation will improve over time. They have plans to add another closer parking lot, but they are currently prioritizing expanding the distillery. There were 3 bars & a beer stand. -The bar at the back of the Log Still Distillery offered full bar and some craft beers in addition to the usual. -There were two other bars offer a semi limited mixed drink menu and beer. One up top and one in the lower seated area. The beer stand was up top just after you come in. Currently they have one food truck, but believe they have plans to bring in more. We tried the smash burger and hot dog . Both were good. The Smash burger had cheese, grilled onions and cheese on it. They had the usual ketchup, mustard & mayo for condiments. They have everything they allow into the venue on their website. We carried in two sealed 20 oz water bottles. They allow each person to bring in up to a gallon of water as long as it is factory sealed. We were seated in row H seats 17 & 18. Honestly there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The view from the lawn and bleacher GA seating was also great.
