I called just recently to inquire about my balance and was told that it was over $400, which would have included the certificate with the expiration date and the one without. I just took both physical certificates into the store and not only would they not accept the expired one, which I could kind of understand (even though gift certificates are paid for and should theoretically NEVER expire), they also refused to honor the certificate WITHOUT an expiration date. I was told that they "decided in their last quarterly meeting that they expired now." She also told me that she could not give me the paper certificates back and that she had to keep and shred them. What a nasty way to treat people. Please do not spend your money here!

This is a great place to get a gift for a female friend, a wife, a mother, a daughter, but there is cool stuff for men here, too. The owner is preservation-minded which makes me like her all the more, and the gift wrap is unique. You'll have no problem finding the store next to the Sayre School. There are always textiles hanging from the line in front to signal that M-L is open. This is the kind of store Lexington deserves.
