I figured paying good money for my hair to be done I wouldve love what I got. Instead, my hair was toned too dark. I ended up leaving with dark brown hair. My blonde hair was no longer visible. Roots almost black. I used to be blonde in the past as well for years and they have always used a purple or blue toner. Which made my hair a more ash blonde. I was so upset I had to pay to go somewhere else to fix the issues. The explaination I got from saying they had to tone my hair dark was was irrational. Because when she put these extensions into my hair she only took an hour and a half to install these. And it is supposed to take three hours. She was hurrying because her babysitter had to leave at a certain time. I told her about my insecurities regarding my hair because I've had extremely bad hair stylists. And she reassured me that she would never do those things to me. Please beware of the Mile High Mermaid. Melissa is a scam I went to her because I had just received a really bad mullet hair cut. Melissa said my hair may be too short, but if she determined it was she would give me my money back. At my consultation appointment she never brought up the length of of my hair , just the color. My extensions were not even in for one day and I expressed my concerns because my hair was not even going up in a ponytail. However, she did not have an appointment to fix them until the next Tuesday. She canceled on me due to he being sick. I didn't have a problem with that, but I needed my hair to be fixed because I was feeling self conscious. I spoke with the owner of Patrick Color Room & Hair Extensions Denver he said. "I don't feel comfortable touching your hair because it is not only to short, but it's uneven and too thick . She should have never put this extensions in your hair. You should ask for your money back." I decided to talk with her once I saw her in person because I do not like confrontations over the phone. However, when I went to get up on Thursday I felt a pull and a tug at my root of my hair . A chunk of my hair came out a the root of my hair. To anyone who is used to have thick beautiful hair, something like this would be a shock. But I have cerebral palsy and walk with a walker,and long hair is the only thing that makes me feel confident. I know that it sounds vain, but my hair was the only thing that made me feel normal. I had informed Melissa about what had happened and she said that once the hair was worn it cannot be refunded and my hair is supposed to fall under because people loose 100 hairs a day. People are not supposed to loose chucks of hair with skin attached to their extensions. This is what I found online in regards to my situation. "They could have been put in too close to your root or there maybe not enough of your own hair attached the extension strand therefore too much weight on the strand." My sister had to take out my extensions because my caregiver found two other sections of hair that were being pulled out by the root. She reached out quickly and gave me her website and booking info so I could browse to make my decision. It was so helpful that she clearly listed her services and gave a price range for each service as well as an estimate of the time for the service. It seems she builds in consultation time in the estimate which is great, but I didn't need a lot of consult time. I liked having the longer time estimate, just in case, but it was great to be done "early." My hair is pretty thick, but she managed to do the works with highlights, shampoo, conditioner, toning, cut, and style in just over two hours for a partial highlight around the crown of my head. I felt like she took enough time to pay careful attention to detail, but worked efficiently. She used a really cool technique to make sure the foils didn't keep the bleach from getting all the way to root so I could go a bit longer without a touch up. As I asked her about it, I discovered that she has done continued professional training in London! We enjoyed chatting part of the time and part of the time we just enjoyed music. Tell her what music you like, and she'll hook you up. She must have sensed I'm an 80's music girl right away since we're about the same age. She also has wonderful clean beauty hair products in a range of prices too. It can be tough to find the right stylist, but I hit the jackpot finding Sherí essentially by blind date!
