Visited a friend up in the area and ended up at Kenzington Burger Bar. Didn't expect much at first, but it turned out to be a really solid spot. The server was super understanding and kind enough to accommodate our group, even with one of us arriving late thanks to traffic and all the freezing rain going on. That, plus the laid-back vibe of the place, made it easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. We shared Fried Dills and Porky Poutine to start. I went for the Brie & Fig Burger with onion rings. What I really liked here is how creative the burger menu is. Everything sounded a little quirky in the best way, and honestly, I wanted to try almost all of them. Wish I had more stomachs. The portion sizes were generous too, which made the ride back to Toronto feel extra worth it. They've also got a nice variety of options for people with dietary restrictions, which I always think is worth pointing out. While I felt the food could be polished just slightly in a few spots, that's being picky. Overall quality was solid, and when you pair that with the kind of thoughtful service we got, it just made everything come together. Usually I'm a bit cautious about places that try to do too much, but this one actually pulls it off in a way that feels intentional and fun. Just really glad I had the chance to check it out. Definitely one of those spots I'd return to without hesitation. read more

The price is too high for the smaller portion sizes that you receive. The burgers are tasty, but they're too small. For the price paid, you should be getting more beef. The atmosphere is still nice so I can't give less than 3/5 stars. read more

Food was good. Typical burgers and fries and some other non burger items Nothing really stood out on the menu but the customer service was great. Lovely waiter we had. Not giving 5 stars because the booths are rather tiny where we were seated with our 3 kids and nothing special on the menu. Great place to go if youre hungry and just want to dine in. I really want to rate this place 4 stars, but the taste of my burger, combined with it's price, doesn't live up to 4 stars in my book. Stumbled across this place quite by accident, looking for a business nearby, and decided to have a quick bite. The interior is nice, and the servers are super friendly. The food - well, it was a regular sort of burger - not something I'd expect at a place calling itself a "Burger Bar" (when I think of a burger bar, Crescent Burger Bar in Montreal instantly comes to mind - this place is nothing like Crescent). I may try it again, if I'm ever in the area again, just to give it the benefit of the doubt. read more

My husband and I had nachos we asked for pulled pork but apparently because of COVID they no longer offer it so we ordered the beef. The beef looked as if they took a burger patty and chopped it up and put it on top of the the cheese, There was no flavour to the meat not even salt. The jalapeños were dried out most of the toppings were dried out. My husband goes for the Amsterdam blonde but they don't carry it anymore. read more

This places burgers are alright , I've had better . However , the fucking chipotle mayo is a gift from god with the fries they make . I'd go there a billion times just for the beauty that is that chipotle mayo. read more

My husband and I went out for date night and are relatively new to Barrie. So we thought to check this place out. It was delicious! When you see the portion of fries or onion rings you think, "wow that's not a lot" but BELIEVE me...it's enough. The burgers were made perfectly and the taste was amazing! I had a wonderful experience. The onion rings were among the best I have tried. I tried the porky burger and it was amazing. The atmosphere was very nice, even though the restaurant was busy. They did make a minor mistake, but I still gave 5 stars because they apologized and gave us a nice 30% discount. read more

Been to the Barrie downtown location, Orillia and the one at the beach. Have always had great service. Was given a table immediately which we gave up to a larger group and took a two seater. Mistake. They were served right away. We were forgotten. 10 minutes of sitting and waiting for someone to say hello. Finally gave our drink order and waited another 10 minutes to get those. We were just about to leave when the drinks arrived. I get it. It's busy. They are new. But still not cool. Update: 45 minutes since sitting down. Still no food. :( On the plus side, we have drinks now. :) Update: 50 minutes. Our food will just be a few more minutes. Something has "gone wrong" in the kitchen and our meal will be free. Update: 60 minutes since touchdown. Manager came to apologize and pick up the tab. Nice guy. Touch situation. Interesting development: Belligerent (possibly drunk) hockey dad went into the kitchen to check on things. Interesting development Same BPDHD at the next table is giving the manager a hard time about the slow service and no food. Manager being very nice and listening. Update: 65 minutes later food is here. Yay!! Food was awesome as always. I'll come back again once things settle down. read more

Food is great but the year I went here I left and never returned for my drink was unattended at the bar and I had been roofied my friend who was sitting with me the whole time at the restaurant he noticed I passed out later when I got home after having 1 beer and a meal from here. read more

My family was looking forward to visiting this place after some good reviews. We noticed right away that our table was sticky and when we got our straws, the paper wrapping was soaked. What is worse is that shortly after digging into our meals we noticed that the chef was not wearing a mask. Not only was he not wearing a mask, but he was helping himself to the fries he was plating. We spoke with the manager who said that this employee had been spoken to about not wearing a mask on several occasions. I asked if Public Health had gotten involved and he responded "No, we are trying to keep it in-house." He assured me that he would have a conversation with the chef, and gave us 25% off our meal. On top of everything, the food was sub-par. I feel sick to my stomach and will definitely be reporting this to Simcoe-Muskoka Public Health. read more

Awesome dinner at Kenzingtons. We had a group of 9 and everyone loved their food. Service was excellent. Food was hot and delicious. I had the Dunlop burger and sweet potato fries. Only recommendation would be more red wine options on the menu. read more

The burgers were easily 4 stars but the sides suffered a fair bit. My GFs salad had a huge hunk of onion still attached to the uneatable end. Don't know how that passes quality control in any kitchen. The fries were ice cold. That's going to happen when they make it to the window 8-10 minutes before the burger. I could see into the kitchen, and as a cook, I can't help but look in. The sides were a 2. The service was a 3. Would give it an average of three but I would add that the burgers were very good. read more

Worst burger for that price. Poutine gravy was super salty, better burger and burger at Harvey's. Burger was dry and burnt. Patties were small. Only positive was sweet potato fries were good! read more

Service was very very slow. We waited 40 min for our food with two 6-yr olds, and it was not busy. One order came out wrong too. They did give us the wrong order in the meantime to munch on which was appreciated. Overall, was not impressed. Downtown location is much much better. read more
