Good service. Was looking for a new place in Orillia and this place came up. Ordered a glass of Cab but they were out of that brand. They brought a substitute but I did not care for and they cheerfully replaced it with a much nicer Merlot. Had the ribs with potatoes and fresh veggies. Fall off the bone tender. Would love to come back for wine down Wednesday and Sunday dinner buffet! read more

Service was good overall. The shrimp pasta was mediocre and something one can easily through together at home, overall pretty oily. The steak sandwich was good and the steak is actually one piece of meat and not like shaved overcooked meat. upgraded to poutine which was good as well. read more

So...when you order a steak medium rare it should arrive medium rare throughout. Well, mine did not and I politely asked our server to replace it. The server returns with the same steak cut in half and says the chef says it is medium rare in the middle and asks if I would like to accept this steak. Politely I point out that the rest of the steak is clearly overcooked. Back to the kitchen it goes. The "chef" then comes out with the same steak and says "hey buddy....this steak is medium rare". After trying to intimidate me into eating his over cooked offering that has travelled back and forth from the kitchen 3 times and disrupting our dinner with company I was left with no food while the rest of our group finished their meals. I was also left wondering what fate my replacement steak would endure before arriving at our table. The server handled the situation gracefully and was very apologetic.....but we won't be going back. read more

It has gone uphill. Great food, friendly staff. Only drink we get is the pink lemonade and I liked the one they had before but, they went down and then they bounced back so, I really can't complain. The greeting staff were very nice. The interior and overall decor is very warm and inviting. They seem to cater to an older crowd (which is fine). There was a live Blues Band playing last night. They were actually pretty good, people were dancing. Music was pretty loud, couldn't hear my partner talk who was sitting across from me. I like their blackened Pickerel and sweet potato fries. 4 stars because my husband thinks they are too pricey for "what it is" but he likes everything we have tried there too. I had a burger and fries here the other day. The burger is made in house. It does contain a bit of herbs and seasoning so some burger purists may be offended, but I thought it was pretty yummy. It was a relatively thin patty with a wide circumference. While it was fully cooked, it did retain a nice amount of moisture. The fries were handcut and pretty good. Some fries were nicely crisp while a few were underdone. Perhaps they need to shake the fry basket during cooking to ensure consistency. I ordered a side of the chipotle mayo and it cost less than fifty cents and they give you a whole bowlful. Really generous. Service was fast and friendly. Food was decent. Pretty standard. Prices were decent, too. I went shortly after it opened and maybe they were figuring out seating arrangements but it was awful. Waitresses were shimmying by and lifting trays above our heads; asking us to skootch in. Took some out of town friends, as we have many times, on Nov 15th, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana Have dined here many time before as we live local to the area. The chicken was RAW and not cooked at all in the middle. Complained to waitress who sent over the owner Diana Roman, as I tried to explain the problem she was over-talking me and said I had to give the cook some leeway as he was new ??? The Chef was not in the building at the time. WTH so for a new cook I should have to go to emergency sick and throwing up. We had also ordered the same dish for my son-in-law to take home, we cut it open and the chicken was also RAW,,,, The manager apologized again by bringing a desert for the 4 of us to share,,, what an insult ! I was visiting Orilla with a Dear Friend and her husband and thought I would take them out for Dinner. I was never so disappointed with a meal in all my life. We ordered the Beef Sandwich\ which I though would be very nice. There was three of us and when our meal came I was very disappointed as it was this great big bun with some beef on it. As we are elderly we thought we were getting a hot beef sandwich. Wrong!!! Me and my friend ate part of the bun and took the other home which got put in the garbage. Not impressed with the manager, ordered the pickerel and it was full of bones ! 3 bites in and I had about 7 bones. Any server knows with a mistake like that, the first menu item is taken off the bill and the replacement meal is also compted. Nope were told becuz I actually ate the replacement meal I had to pay for it. So we didn't make a scene paid our bill and gave the server a good tip ( she was lovely!) just before we left the server came back with a 10$ gift card from the manager for "next time" ha hard no lady!
