It was our first time experiencing this beautiful park, and overall it was very well organized. There were plenty of food vendors and lots to enjoy throughout the day. I did notice some people were upset about the restrooms running out of toilet paper and water to wash hands. We came prepared--almost like we were camping--so it didn't affect us. We also asked others who had been to the complex before and read reviews ahead of time, which definitely helped. We were here for a huge AYSO soccer event last February. The fields are huge, with a lot of grass areas. Some places were a bit muddy but it had rained a couple days prior. There were plenty of bathrooms and port-a-potty options but some of the bathrooms had some flooding and we were all dodging and jumping over huge puddles to get to the toilet. There seemed to be only one long driveway to enter the park/fields which took FOREVER just to get in. Many people were late to their early games. Cal South organization continues to mismanage soccer park grounds and facilities! 2nd year attending for AYSO soccer tournaments. 2 years in a row at least one of the bathrooms has been locked. 2 years in a row that porta-potties quickly ran out of toilet paper and hand-wash stations quickly ran out of water, soap, and paper towels. This year, low pressure caused flooding leading them to lock main bathroom 3. When using a porta-potty door, I reached for the handle and my hand came away "wet" (gross!). You shouldn't have to go to soccer tournament worry if you or your team will get pinkeye. By mid-day I finally complained to my regional AYSO rep; who said she would contact Cal South management and have them restock. Throughout afternoon, my team parents and players reported most of the porta-potties and stations still had not been restocked. In addition, the concession stand/food area was closed yet again this year. There were limited food truck options (only 1 truck and a few carts). Soccer fields continue to have numerous animal holes. While the fields were in MUCH better shape than last year, tripping and ankle twisting hazards remained. This year my players walked away with only a few scrapes and scratches; but last year I witness numerous serious injuries due directly to poor field conditions. Why does AYSO continue to use this soccer park? I was told that AYSO had warned Cal South in the past to "do better". It seems clear that Cal South does not care to make any improvements. It's about time that AYSO drops this facility & Cal South and uses another venue for regional tournaments. read more

We attended a soccer tournament this past weekend and very disappointed. First, need more parking. Second, the bathrooms were disgusting and ran out of toilet paper. Third, no snack bar. This complex could make so much money just selling drinks and some decent snacks. They did have one taco truck and a shaved ice truck. I have been to this facility several times over the years for a variety of soccer events. Sadly their fields are not kept up very well considering every car has to pay a whopping $10 to park on dirt or muddy puddles. The snack bar food is just okay and the restrooms aren't checked throughout the day when there are games and hoards of people there from sun up to sun down. There really isn't a way to get around paying for parking since the side of roads leading to this place aren't very wide. Thankfully with a kid in high school now we only have to deal with this place when there is an occasional tournament here. read more

The parking fee is a result of a criminal enterprise. The parking areas are not maintained and the weed covered fields are barely maintained. They have a bunch of really cool side-by-side rigs to ride around on. I guess that's why they charge school busses $30.00 to park. This soccer park is so run down. Bathrooms are old, filthy & inadequate. More portable potties for health reasons. Getting into park is extremely unorganized, long wait to enter, cars coming from different directions. The food trucks were parked right next to each other & there were long lines causing traffic to be blocked in parking areas. Potholes are everywhere you walk, poor landscaping. This park is a disaster. Kern County needs to step it up with soccer facilities. Orange County & San Diego have well-organized, clean, beautiful fields. read more

With more than 20 fields, two teams per field and carloads of moms, dads, siblings and budding soccer stars all trying to get in the one and only entrance the greatest advice I can give you is get there well in advance of your game. And bring $5 to park. Other than that, it's a pretty standard soccer facility. Clean restrooms, moderately overpriced food at the "snack shack" ($1.50 for a donut) and fields that were free from gopher holes or other major issues. Oh...and MAJOR temperature swings. I went from being cold in full sweats and a blanket at 6:45a to shorts, a t-shirt and sunblock by 9:30a. Go figure.... read more

After years of playing at this park and it progressively getting worse by the year I will finally speak up and say I am outraged and disgusted by the unsanitary conditions of the bathrooms at this park and the horrendous lots and parking. For starters there was human waste all over that women's restroom this week and last week and only one toilet was running and noooooo soap!!!! This is sick! You charge $6.00 per car for what? The new ticket stands? The parking lot is HORRIBLE and the very least that can be done is asphalt put down throughout the whole parking lot and lines placed down so people's cars are not getting hit or boxed in with no help to be found. The traffic situation is horrible. There is only one exit from the park and the line to get out is about 30 minutes long. There's two concession stands, one at the boys fields and another at the girls end. The one where the girls play they decide to keep closed. You'll miss almost an entire quarter of play if you get thirsty for a bottle of water at your girls game. And if they decide to raise the parking fee to $6.00 to enter this pot hole ridden place, that doesn't give them the right to give me attitude when all I have is a $20 and they have to fork over what they think is too many $1's in change. read more

By far the best soccer fields I have played in. Nice small snack bars, and clean restrooms. They also accommodate RVs for the day. It's near Hart Park so u could have a nice BBQ and go swimming in the kern river if u choose too. Only gave it 4 stars because its $5 for parking. Should be more like $2-3 per day or even sale a yearly parking pass. read more

There is 1 referee who I think his last name is Aguilar. He was on field 7S at the 3:00 game on 9-10-17 who yelled at the parents who were sitting on the opposite side cheering for their kids. The only reason we were on that side was because it had the trees with shade, and in my opinion, its a safety issue not to sit on he non shaded side due to BAKERSFIELD SUMMER HEAT! with a game in the middle of the afternoon with 100 degrees, I'm going to sit wherever I feel is he safest for my family and cheer for my daughter who is playing no matter what he says. And if he threatens to kick us out, I would be tempted to file a lawsuit. This wasn't the first issue with the same referee. Last season he chewed us out for calling another kid out from elbowing our daughter and another parent stood up for herself and got kicked out of the place. He is a horrible referee and a horrible person to be making calls. If he has an issue with parents for breaking any rules that we aren't aware of, instead of yelling in front of everyone, he should talk to us like adults on the side and discuss his issues. He took the fun out of it for us and other parents by making us intimidated every time he looked out direction. read more

For an AYSO soccer tournament parking was $6, which is fine, except there were not enough restrooms for the crowd. They were very dirty and they ran out of soap and toilet paper in men's and women's yesterday. Parking lot has one exit, so it took us 25 min to get out of the park and back to the street. read more
