There were two ladies that came in, they talked about a mamosa recipe using hard cider with some champagne and a splash of orange juice. I was intrigued. The store looks small from the outside and like it might be just like every third packie on the north shore - lots of beers and nothing much to remember it by. Book, cover. Me, judging. Decent selection of wine. Lots more reds than whites. I found a wine the other night Campanile, Pinot Grigio, for about $10.99, from Italy ('10) which tastes pretty good. The guy who stood behing the counter looked like an old skool meathead - turns out he is friendly, and able to answer my questions. He also has the red sox on in the background for those of whom want to keep up with the game... The one thing that they couldn't give me, that I wanted? Good looking limes. These are like the holy grail of liquor stores though, I usually have to keep looking til I find something worth buying - usually at the last of many stores. I'll be back here for sure.

Everything from the setup, appetizers offered to enhance the experience, instructor, information shared and ambiance were outstanding. We learned about Spanish and Portuguese wines and had the opportunity to taste many that were also for sale at the store. It made for a really fun night that I would like to repeat again in the future.

I needed to drop off a package going to Australia today, and it's the first time I've ever shipped DHL. I went on the DHL Locator site and this popped up. It wasn't far and the DHL site said that account shippers are welcome, so I headed over there to drop off my package. I got there at around 10AM on a Thursday morning, and it was locked up. A sign on the door said "No DHL. Please no questions." I ended up having to head down to Sunrise Postal in Malden in order to drop off my package, which I would have done in the first place if Market & Liquors wasn't listed. I can understand not wanting to do packages anymore, but it's probably a good idea to get the listing removed from the DHL website and take down the signs.

Plus, since the Pandemic, we've been getting deliveries from here more than actually picking stuff up. Liquor Junction is open during this Pandemic as they are an essential service provider because keeping you liquored up is essential! This place has everything you need to make the household happy: whiskey and red wine. Well, they have other stuff that we dabble in like cigars, beers, and assorted liquors and wines. This is a pretty normal liquor store, not the fanciest digs, and maybe a bit bigger than your average corner liquor store. The selection is great. As an avid wine aficionado, I have been happily surprised by the selection and found several bottles that I've never encountered, including a Tempranillo I had never seen before. I love Tempranillos! Would I go back? Sure. The parking lot is wonky because it is in a cluster of a shopping center, but it's a nice little oasis. Plenty of places to park. Would I recommend this place? Yes. I would not recommend driving a long distance, unless they are holding an event, but if you're close, this should be your go-to spot.

Dan was both friendly and knowledgeable on procuring me a couple of nice stouts and although they didn't have my exact make of scotch (Caol Ila), Dan was able to procure it and at market value where I didn't feel like I was getting ripped. I was also able to get a nice Macallan 18 at roughly market. I will definitely be coming back here for all my poisonous needs.

They do answer questions and they're knowledgeable of where in the store something is located. Pricing is about average for a neighborhood liquor store. The one thing I do find funny is the ID everybody. I understand that they can't get in trouble if they ID everyone but I'm 58 years old. I'm sure I don't look like I'm 21 I think it's kind of silly. I'm sure it makes the older women feel pretty good though. Parking is no issue as it has a huge she had parking lot with about 10 other stores. Very convenient to reach. If you're on route one you can pull right into the lodge parking lot and there's also an entrance on Walnut Street. I usually enter on the highway route one and exit on Walnut Street a little bit safer.
