We had direct hits on our siding, deck, roof, gas grill, windows, exterior light, and gutter. We had a yard full of tree trunks, limbs, branches, and parts of the house. We were treated very fairly by the Hartford, and despite a few hiccups here and there, we were satisfied with their service. They were pretty good with written communications and two inspections. Our initial check for the actual value of the damage came out fast. The supplemental check for depreciation and a few more odds and ends came just as quickly. Looking back on that claim experience, they definitely did right by us.

There's no one there to resolve the issue on weekends, holidays, or after whatever banker's hours they keep in Connecticut. The phone tree hangs up when it decides I'm done (whether I am or not).
