When I got to his room about 4 pm he was still not back and when he did arrive he was soaked in urine as the dialysis facility did not have anyone there to help him to bathroom. He also had sepsis when he got to hospital. He never completely recovered and passed away. Stay away from Sylvan.

No one would come after the call button not even her yelling for help. That same night they dropped her in the shower, and she broke her shoulder. It was all downhill from here. She never really recovered from the fall. even after the fall NO physical therapy. She was in better shape before we had her admitted her into Sylvan Shores. Today we no longer have my family member with us after 2 months and if we would have known that this place would not be taken care of her like they said they would, we would have never put her in this place. And she still would have been with us. If you are thinking about putting your family member in this facility DO NOT!!!!!!! Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Finally after getting with Dr. Pedraza I realized I had not been on the right medication and I was just being pushed along for years with no medical care and attention. Every appointment is always the same, she will always find out how I'm doing, and talk about any changes or needs. I never feel like I'm just having medication pushed on me, I don't feel like I'm in and out and my questions haven't been answered, she really cares for her patients. Her office is efficient and always makes sure I'm taken care of.

Rob and his team of therapists did an excellent job of getting both of us back on track and better. My therapy lasted a few weeks and ended about 18 months ago. My wife's therapy just started and is ongoing. The front office staff communicates well and the PT staff does an excellent job with the balance of pushing you to do well during your therapy but not so far that you feel like you've gone too far. Bottom line - An easy five-star review. I highly recommend them if you ever need physical therapy.

Jessica told us about their busy day and let us know they were no longer taking walk- ins for the night. She offered to schedule the guy an appointment for the next morning. The Provider Stephanie signed the Fast Pass paper so we can drive 6 more miles to the nearest ER that accepted his insurance. I mentioned a Stop the Bleed kit or assistant since he was bleeding on counter. The provider never came from the back to assess, render aid nor communicate with us at all. She just kept walking from left to right wall in the back. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO STOP if you are HAVING AN EMERGENCY. They never looked at the deep cut so no help was given to stop the bleeding. 1 star for making sure the ER referred accepted his insurance. 0 stars for the patient care, empathy, customer service and beyond.

The front door was unlocked, but the reception window was closed. I waited and waited for someone to greet me or check me in. I heard people talking behind the frosted glass, but the window remained closed. After 15 minutes passed and the conversation behind the glass tuned to tacos, I decided to call the office and alert the staff that I had been waiting and that we were now well after my appointment time. This worked and staff opened the window and handed me a clipboard with the paperwork they wanted me to fill out (paperwork they told me they would email me when they called me the day before). At this point I was too irritated by their disrespect of my time to continue with the appointment. The irony is I received no less than a dozen texts and emails leading up to my appointment telling me to respect their time and show up early. I have experienced long waits at doctor's offices before... but that is usually because the doctor is taking extra time with patients. That I understand. But chit chatting about breakfast tacos behind a closed window ignoring the fact that your first appointment of the day has been sitting idle in the waiting room for a quarter of an hour is just bad business.

The introductory offer cited my shoulder pain and the staff was friendly and professional. In and out in less than an hour! If you suffer from injury or pain, I suggest that you give the good people at Gulf Coast Healthcare a try. My only beef, is that they do NOT accept insurance.
