We met and discussed what I was looking for in a home. Single, never married, no kids with decent income gave me lots of options with my good credit score in a tough post covid market. She made a point early on that there are people out here looking at the same homes who have been searching for many months if not years and it is important when putting in an offer to stand out. We searched homes of various price ranges, conditions, locations ranging in the 413 / northern ct. and ones with multiple offers. Each home we looked at I learned something new as she explained what to look for that could be trouble down the line. My home is exactly what I was looking for. Although not on a body of water like a lake or in a wooded area, I made those sacrifices and put in one hell of an offer to purchases home I can proudly say is mine. I purchased my home June of 2023. Charlotte to this day still reaches out to see how I am doing and how the house is coming along by phone and by mail. I still use her welcome to your new home gift basket often and remind myself of the wisdom she has taught me to maintain the little things. Where to start?…read more First of all, Elyse Harney Real Estate has an amazing reputation in the tri-state (NY, CT, MA) area. So naturally, they were the first (and only) real estate firm I called to list my house in Millerton, NY (and no, not a million or multi-million dollar home). Obviously, like anything, it depends on the agent you get and I was fortunate enough to get Tracy Macgowan. Tracy is like no other real estate agent I have ever worked with (and I've had many in both NY and California). Tracy went out of her way to calm my nerves and worries. Tracy is incredibly knowledgeable about the market and even suggested a higher price than I thought, and we got the price she suggested! Tracy is very communicative which I absolutely appreciate. And best of all Tracy is a fantastic negotiator. Honestly, I cannot say enough about how amazing she is. As long as I am alive and in the area Tracy will be my real estate agent (and friend).
