The same care she took to my hair for years is continued through all of the stylists at the salon. I recently tried to book an appointment and was told I needed to keep a credit card on file. I politely said I wasn't comfortable with that. The receptionist said she would ask the owner, Marina, if an exception could be made, and she refused, so I chose not to book. After being a loyal client for so many years, the lack of flexibility and customer service was really disappointing. After being a loyal customer to Oak & Strand, I can honestly say their customer service is…read moreabsolutely horrible. I scheduled an appointment online for June 13 and received confirmation. A few days later, I received an email that the appointment had been cancelled by the salon. On June 13, I received a text asking me to confirm. Confused, I called reception. I was told that the machine accidentally made an appointment for me on June 6, and that the staff had cancelled that one (because it was an error), and that's why I got a cancellation email. She said the machine makes mistakes often, and that I definitely wouldn't be charged for an appointment I was told was cancelled. An hour later, I received an angry voicemail from the manager, Sharon, saying that even though they had "accidentally made an appointment for me on June 6th" (her words verbatim) and then cancelled it, sending me with a cancellation email, I would be charged due to their cancellation policy. I called back and explained the situation to the receptionist, who agreed that it was ridiculous to charge me for a machine mistake. Of course I was aware of the cancellation policy, being a loyal customer. She said Sharon would call me back. She did not. I have disputed the charge. Petty and disappointing. Will definitely not be returning or recommending to others.
