I never write negative reviews until today. I am taken aback by the arrogance of the owner Lang, the Owner of Pasch. I had an appointment with her at 1 and she had someone call me at 12 :30 to say she was "taking a personal day". She didn't even have the decency to make up a story that she was sick or an emergency came up just that she wasn't coming in. She has done this before but last time she said she was sick. I'm done! She does do a nice job but so do other salons. RUDE and inconsiderate. Let's see if they delete this.... read more

I follow the tech, and my tech is at Pasch! she does great work and always makes my nails beautiful. Not gonna lie, during the whole pandemic, I really didn't take care of my nails, like I should have. But as soon as I could get back to Pasch, I was at the door. Now they are all pretty all the time. Appointments are easy to make, plenty of time given, no rushing, salon is clean and comfortable and Jess does an awesome job!!! Going to the salon is my treat to me, and I hate when my appointment time is rushed, we are hovered over or I am made to feel that I am just $$, at Pasch that doesn't happen and that is a huge plus for me. I am very happy as my kids got me gift certificates for Pasch as Christmas stocking stuffers, so I am triple pleased. read more

I visited the salon three times in total. The first time was just to get an acrylic fill and a polish which was done pretty decent. The next time I came I came for nails and eyelashes when I got there my appointment was supposed to be at 10 no one opened until 10:06 fine things happen then the technician who starts to do my nails tells me she's allergic to acrylic and no one there at the time could do acrylic. How do you have a nail salon and no one that does acrylic nails I'm not quite sure. I also end up with five cuts on five of my fingers, I didn't get eyelashes after a consultation after showing pictures of what I want and I get nothing even close to that. I speak with the owner. She tells me to come back the next day they will remove and fix which was very nice that she did not have to do that. She really try to accommodate me even offered me a discount on the new lashes. The new girl does them again the same pictures are showing what I would like again not even close. There was a child running in and out of the room of where I'm getting my eyelashes done so I would say this is NOT the kind of a place you would come if you're not looking to be pampered or you're not looking for high expectations. this is just a basic salon I would love to say you get what you pay for but you don't... you get a mediocre experience I don't mind paying money when I'm wowed and I will pay that money every time when I'm wowed but the salon feel very short and every expectation, except for the courtesy of trying to rectify the situation. read more

I went here to trial a manicure color for my wedding day and had the worst experiences of my life. When I arrived at the desk they had me booked for the wrong type of manicure (I booked a gel which takes longer than the regular manicure they had me in for). My manicurist was twenty minutes late (not a big deal but if I had anywhere to be afterward, 20 minutes is significant). Those were small things that I wasn't impressed with but I wasn't upset about. The reason I am giving two stars is because my manicurist, Amy, was blatantly rude to me the entire time. Not only was she rushing and made no effort at customer service, she jammed my cuticles back to the point where they were bleeding during and after my appointment and started shredding the next day. The pictures below are of my nails directly after the appointment and now 3 days later. Not sure what bride would survive her nails looking like this on her wedding day. During this time of Covid I'm sure we've all made some changes... Over a month ago I realized I don't have to be a blonde to feel beautiful and met Jacob at Pasch. Jacob thank you for listening to what I was looking for and having the skills to deliver exactly that. Color and a new style. To add, I was scheduled for a trim this Sunday but after styling my hair yesterday I thought it looked great and didn't need a trim. I called Pasch to possibly cancel and was able to speak with Jacob. I was going to be in the area and he said to drop in and he would check and see if I needed it. He greeted me when I walked in and in an instant I could see I could go another few weeks, I could see how proud he was of his work, he gleamed like a rock star!!! I started coming to Pasch in 2014 it was the hottest salon in the Monmouth County area however it has become so sloppy the staff used to be so professional and polite it looks like they are now hiring just anybody off the street the girls don't wanna work there on their phones they are constantly bickering back-and-forth it's just sloppy they all look sloppy I understand that wearing black is the dress code but at least the girls back then would dress up and look presentable these girls just wear anything they don't brush their hair how can I expect to go to a salon and trust someone to make me look beautiful and make my hair look nice when their hair looks like a mess i used to always see the owner in the office he was always there and I haven't seen him for months it looks like he has not kept tabs on the salon and it shows Now I understand because of Covid they cannot serve drinks anymore but however before Covid I noticed they wouldn't come to you ask if you wanted anything if you needed anything when I started going in 2014 and as soon as you sat down they offer you coffee cold beverage water anything they were very attentive to detail especially the receptionist in the front this receptionist now are sloppy and have very poor phone skills Everyone that works there can only do simple things like cuts and blowouts the only girl that could do extensions recently left and the last person that I had do my color made it look atrocious I had to go to another salon to fix it I'm very disappointed and have stopped coming to the salon I hope whoever reads this takes the time to really digest this and make some changes because I know the salon has the potential to be great again read more

I am so happy with the cut and service I got from Sneh. My hair looks so beautiful and she was so professional the way she acknowledged exactly what it was I wanted and checked in with me throughout the cut to make sure I was OK with what she was doing. I'm a native NYC-er who is spoiled rotten by the ability to walk onto virtually any block in Manhattan and get a perfect manicure without any reservation. I've been searching for a good mani/pedi spot down at the Jersey Shore, but have yet to find one that is great. This spot certainly looked nicer than some others, but I'd call it good-not-great. First, they didn't have as wide a variety of nail polish colors as I had hoped to find, and I ended up settling since I couldn't find the color I wanted. Second my technician aggressively cut my cuticles to the point of it hurting and me saying "ouch" multiple times, and only finally let up when she drew blood. As she is wiping up the blood she said, "Oh did that hurt?" Ummm YES! Otherwise, it was clean and everyone was polite, and the ambiance is nice. They have a fish tank with tropical fish that you can gaze at while your nails are drying, which is a nice touch. I think I'll keep trying to find a nail salon in the area, since so far I have not been totally satisfied with any of the places I have tried... read more

From the friendly greeting when I walked in, to my hair stylist taking the time to help me choose the color I was looking for, to the shampooing- everything was great! I have zero complaints. I showed my stylist a few pictures I was thinking of trying out- she then helped me figure out from various questions she asked me- what exactly I was looking for- my hair looks amazing! My bonus daughter and I were visiting Ocean Grove for the weekend. I needed color and she desperately needed a haircut. It was on the afternoon of Halloween and we called and the receptionist was great! She got us in for eyebrow waxing, a partial highlight, two haircuts and a pedicure. They were super accommodating and were extremely fun and professional. I would highly recommend Liz and Rachel for hair. The gal who did my brows was AWESOME! I have never had a better looking arch. I've heard great things about this salon so I decided to call and book an appointment with them. However, when I called to book, the girl whom I believe said her name was Julie who answered the phone was rude and overly unpleasant. She was argumentative and wasn't accommodating at all and spoke to me in a condescending tone of voice then proceeded to put me on a 5 minute hold before disconnecting me. It was enough for me to take my business elsewhere. It's a shame as I really wanted to try this salon but customer service is a must for me. read more

I have been coming here (to Suzie ) for about 2 years now, and she is THE BEST!!! I also really like everyone else too, as sometimes I've had them do a toe polish change or something. Suzie is super talented & always gives me fabulous, amazing nails. Nice appearance and location but the service is by far up to par! The front desk staff is inattentive and even neglectful at times. Receptionists there are very unprofessional and unpleasant to clients. I will not be returning for any services there because I feel unwelcome and disregarded. "I'd like to express my disappointment in how I was treated today at your Belmar location. A few weeks ago, I broke my shoulder and cannot wash/dry my hair at the moment. Since I have always been happy with your nail services, I decided to try to get a blow out at the Belmar salon. I have since gone twice more, today being the last. I've been impressed with the salon's talent so last week, I got a color/cut from Lauren in Wall. She was lovely, helpful in choosing a hair treatment and did a wonderful job at transforming my hair. That day, I saw the advertisement for the month membership for blow outs. I couldn't believe the timing and was looking forward to purchasing the membership. If there was ever a month I needed blow outs, it was this month. Today, I went to the Belmar location for a blow out and upon checking out I was told that I cannot apply today's blow out to the membership. While the receptionist was able to explain the policy, I am really disappointed that an exception could not have been made for only $5. I have spent $175 dollars between treatments and tips over the last two weeks and your salon decided to get hung up on the fact that a stylist dried my hair. The chances of a customer that works full-time, an hour away, with a broken shoulder of actually using more than 4 blow outs between today and the end of the month are small (allowing me to break even)- which is why you can run specials like this. How much would it have cost you to allow the blow out today to be applied to the special? What your salon failed to do today was to make me feel like a valued customer and that you appreciate my business. So, I will take it elsewhere. Well, my shellac manicure looks great. Now for what I didn't like: I called up to confirm the price, but when I got there and was finished and paying, they told me a different price. It was only a couple dollars so I didn't say anything, but that's bad business. Also, I have been to places that say never use OPI gel on natural nails because it ruins them, and this place was pushing me to use OPI. Most places I have been to ask me what type of gel I have because they say taking off Shellac is different than taking off OPI. This place didn't ask what I had on mine and just filed it off before soaking in acetone. I only use Shellac because it comes right off without filing when soaked in acetone. I hate having the polish (and my nail with it) filed off from the top. The girl was nice enough but a little rough, and when she filed my skin on a few fingers, the acetone stung. It was a tough process to get the shellac manicure, but now that I have it, she took her time and it does look really great. I chose this place because I just moved to Belmar and it is close and was open good hours. I think I will try somewhere else next time though. read more

I have gone there many times over the past couple of years. I have been mostly pleased with my hairs cuts (except for sometimes they don't really listen to what you asked for and butcher your hair or barely cut it at all!) I have found the manicures there are way over priced for what you are getting. (also pricing is not consistent) I paid $30 for a gel manicure there that lasted about 2 weeks with not chipping (average) but the girl who did it pretty much violently assaulted me while cutting and shaping my nails. when I went back only a month later and got a gel manicure it costed $47 and only lasted a week before the polished started coming off in sheets. I've given myself a better manicure! When I asked to receptionist about the price change, just because I was curious, she made it quite clear that 'I have no idea what I am talking about and should stop wasting everyone's time' Excuse me for wondering why I was paying $50 for a sub-par manicure. However, DO NOT GET YOUR EYEBROWS WAXED THERE!!! mostly they can be pretty good, but once the girl 'left' the wax on too long by accident and caused me to bleed after removing the wax. I have had my eyebrows waxed in many places before and there many many times. I do not have sensitive skin, THIS WAS A VERY POORLY DONE JOB. The same thing happened to me again yesterday but MUCH WORSE! the girl named 'GRACIE' waxes my eyebrows and burnt me all across my eyelid. (why she even had wax on my eyelid I do not know!) not only is it extremely painful but it looks horrific. (I had to ask her to trim and pluck my eyebrows where she didn't wax, as well) She must have known she messed up because she wouldn't show may mirror and rushed me out even before I tipped her. OVERALL this is not a place I will ever be heading back too and I suggest you take caution before doing so yourself. Also, SHOUTOUT TO GRACIE FOR ROYALY MESSING UP MY FACE with now a scab that my doctor said will likely scar and leave a mark on me for the rest of my LIFE! Have gone to Pasch Salon for highlights and haircut a few times, Would not go back again. Only the first time I went did I get the highlights I asked for, The next few times, the color was not what I requested. The placement of the highlights was terrible. The second time I was there, my appt took almost 5 hours for highlights and haircut and the highlights were so bad, I had to go back and spend more time there getting them fixed a second day!! If you only get highlights without a haircut, they don't tell you that to dry your hair after you get highlights that it is an extra $25. It is not a problem of paying the $25, but they don't tell you up front when you book the appt over the phone and your stylist neglects to tell you also, so that when you go to pay, you find out that it is extra to get your hair blown dry after highlights...poor quality for the price. read more

I went to Michelle for my hair, she was great. No complaints about her. I went to Linda for my make up, I showed her a picture of how I wanted to look from a previous wedding and stressed that I like my make up to look natural. I walked out of that salon looking everything BUT natural. She said at one point "I can't really tell by the picture but I'm going to do what I think looks good" I even told her at one point that I think the make up was too heavy for my liking but she kept piling it on. Needless to say, I spent the entire car ride home wiping all make up off my face. I wouldn't recommend going to her for your make up. read more

I've been coming to see Susie now for several weeks. She's a perfectionist and does an amazing job on my nails (I have LCN's). I decided to try Pasch for my hair as well. Finding a good salon in Monmouth County is not easy; I've been to several places and felt the results were never consistent. Tamrah did my color last night and I am truly happy about it. She listened to what I wanted, and understood that I knew a little about hair color and how my hair takes it (glazes never stay past two weeks, I needed a single process so it would last). My hair is no longer a faded brown, but a beautiful medium golden brown. Can't wait to go back! Let's hope the 5 star review continues to apply to my hair as well as my nails :) read more

I received hair color service at the Belmar location.. oh my, what a disaster! My colorist was Rachael, she is not very warm & friendly. We discussed the color I was trying to achieve & she said I wasn't far off from my color goal & said it was easy! So I felt better hearing that, when she applied color & it started to process, I could see it was looking pretty darn dark! She took me over to the sink & when she shampooed me, she let the "shampoo" sit for maybe 5 minutes or so, & I said it smelled "bleachy"& she said "yeah, I know weird, right!" She said it was a "treatment" when she showed me my hair wet with a piece dried, I felt very worried because it was so dark & cool toned. She said it was an easy fix & back to the sink for a bleach bath, so now my hair looked like rust & very orangey, not very pretty. So she toned it but it still wasn't the right tone or color. I was NOT happy but was courteous when I paid, I just wanted to get out of there. I contacted the salon manager for a resolution or refund, got nowhere with them & decided to dispute the charge on my credit card. I am appalled that they actually disputed the claim. It was a complete waste of my time & money, horrible. Just an awful experience. read more

Worst experience I have had with a salon before even getting an opportunity to go for my service. Max clearly is unable to schedule, last week I made an appointment and the next morning and day of appointment I received a phone call that they didn't have anyone available to do the service I wanted. I figured ok stuff happens, a few days later I called to reschedule, I specifically asked if he was sure someone would be there that could do the service, the day before the appointment I get a call saying that the appointment was made with a woman who again didn't do the service I booked and they cancelled again. I guess max and the salon didn't want a new customer that would need to come in regularly. I moved down here and was looking for a place to get my nails and go for fills every other week and pedicures, but after being canceled on twice in seven days I figured I would move on.
