I took a camper in to Parkland that I purchased there a couple of years ago we had rodent damage…read more Insurance decided that they would pay $5000 of the $9400 estimate this is no fault to Parkland RV . I did not know however that Parkland RV was going to charge me a fee to get an estimate totaling $1240. I told them today when I picked the camper up and paid the $1240 without the repairs being completed that I did not appreciate being billed for this and the service manager proceeded to argue with me that I had been paid by Insurance for that. The fact that I was not notified that I would be getting billed for having an estimate is ridiculous. If you take a car in for an estimate on damage, they don't bill you for the estimate. They bill you for any work done. Arguing with me because I was upset that I wasn't notified I would be getting billed goes against what his title is "service" manager. The customer is not always right, but the customer is always the customer and should be treated as such. I am not upset with anything other than the fact that they're billing me for stuff that they did not inform me I would be billed for.
