I've heard most times this recalibration is not needed, but if it turns out it IS needed, you'd have to take it somewhere else at a cost of $250-$700, or as much as $1,000 at a dealership! No thank you! Especially after the already expensive windshield! My tech was Kyle and, boy, was he sharp! When he arrived he told me it would take around an hour, I believe he finished the windshield installation, recalibration and cleanup in around 30 minutes - no small feat for my big Honda Odyssey on his own - and returned from the test drive in under 10 minutes. It was easy to pay with any type of credit card, even AmEx, and all told I think it was about 40 minutes. The owner, Steve, was a pleasure to talk to, as was Kyle, A couple of easygoing guys. I definitely made the right choice! And, if ever I have the need again, I will probably only be putting out a call for one quote ... from MasterTech.

On thur. he called back telling me the glass came in with a scratch and that because he doesn't sell damaged good the new one will be in first of the week. I was a little discouraged, but boy was I not disappointed. He came by 9 am and had it done within an hour!! One hour later ( for the seal to dry ) I was on my way. The rear view mirror which was ify before was perfect afterwards. While he did the install we talked and I found out he's been doing this for 46 years! Let me start by saying I…read moream a small business owner and can certainly appreciate what it takes to earn a customers business as well as service them after the sale. I believe in giving business company's locally wherever possible, but this was a huge backfire. Lesson learned. Safelite was the same price as A&L, but they are a big company and likely actually stand behind their work. On the front end, everything was pretty normal in regards to pricing and communication. Then the new windshield install went OK after they were over an hour late to the apt at our home. Again, owning a company I fully understand things pop up and it can be easy to get behind. The owner (who did the install by the way) made it a point to let me know to contact them with any questions or issues and they would get me taken care of. After just a few months, we were at the beach and the review mirror fell off, presumably from being in the heat ... BUT obviously because it was not reinstalled on the new windshield properly. I went to the local place down there to get some proper adhesive to reinstall it but quickly found out that there was a custom fit gasket needed based on the design of the review mirror. I contacted A&L in early June as soon as we returned from our trip. We made appointments for them to stop by twice that they were not able to make because they got busy / backed up. Being understanding of this, we agreed that they would stop by at their end of their day during a Mon - Fri, whichever day they could make work. Surprise, they never showed up. I then sent a message asking if they were going to ever come look at it in early July and that message went unanswered. I spent more money out of my pocket trying to find a solution that just wouldn't work. I also couldn't find the parts from the manufacturer or aftermarket stores I needed either. Those places just wanted to send me a whole new mirror set up for $350! One of the places was nice enough to tell me that the installer of the windshield / mirror should have a way to get only the parts needed to fix the mirror mounting. I followed up mid-August (yesterday) and the reply was they are not liable but were going to look as a courtesy. My warranty only covered stress cracks and leaks and workmanship. When I asked how my mirror falling off that they installed was not their workmanship, they said they see people hit the mirror all the time and big chunks of glass come out, followed by they weren't accusing me, they just hadn't seen it to know. Well, they hadn't seen it because they never came to look at it like they said they would. So in summary - it has now been 3 months that my wife drives 160 miles per day, 3-4 days per week without a rearview mirror. We are still looking for a solution and plan to bill A&L for our costs to fix. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I was talking with the owner the entire time, so nowhere else to go to escalate the issues and get a resolution.

Pricing was reasonable too. I had a couple questions after the work, and the repairman did a good job giving me the needed information without making me feel bad about my questions. I left feeling like they were a reputable, reliable, trustworthy business. As a woman, that has not always been my experience in the auto industry. I believe they can come to you or you can stop by their shop with appointments either way. I made an appointment to stop by, because rainy weather was iffy - and they had a garage bay as back up. Parking is small, and the building is right on Tesson Ferry. There isn't an intersection light - just be safe pulling in and out of their lot with traffic. I would definitely recommend Martin Glass and return in the future.

I used J&M to replace my driver's side front window after my car was broken into during the middle…read moreof winter. I called several companies, and while they weren't my first choice, they were the only one that could come out quickly. The technician arrived with the wrong piece of glass. The woman who ordered it claimed my VIN corresponded to a two-door version of my vehicle instead of the four-door model I own, which wasn't accurate. They had to reorder the correct glass and return a few days later. After the replacement, there was still a significant amount of shattered glass left inside the door, and I could hear it rattling every time I opened or closed it. I drove the car for about a month, then was out of the country for work for another month. After returning and driving it for several more weeks, the interior door handle suddenly stopped working, and I was unable to open the door from the inside (kind of important). I called J&M multiple times and left messages, but no one ever returned my calls. I ultimately took my car to a shop that specializes in my car's brand. They rolled their eyes and said that the guy was being lazy when he said he couldnt get the broken glass out of the door. They were able to get that out easily, and $200 later, they fixed the door so I could open it from the inside. Mistakes can happen, but what disappointed me most was the lack of follow-up and customer service when I tried to have the issue addressed.
