I went to her after a bizarre growth continued on my finger, for months. I was dreading a biopsy. Instead, she said, " I want you to put on long underwear." I did and the growth was gone in a week from improved circulation to my extremities! Her prescriptions are simple, common sense and very effective. With her genetic counseling Dr Sutton explained to me that I need methylcobalamin for B12, which is lifechanging information for me -because my mother had pernicious anemia as cause of death on her death certificate but had been taking cyanocobalamin, which she and I do not absorb. I wish I had known, to save her the years of paralysis. If only I had taken Mom to Dr Sutton. And I do not have to fear that future for myself. Years ago, our son had had vaccine encephalitis which is an immediate seizure after his DPT shot, as his brain swelled within his hard skull, and his entire leg became red, and swollen, screaming a highpitched unwavering wail for hours until he passed out. So I asked counseling on vaccines as I am celiac with lifelong autoimmune issues. Dr Sutton had the courage to help me with that issue, which required much time and effort on her part. I admire her thoughtful care and wisdom which only comes with 40 years of dedicated practice. Dr Sutton is held in highest respect by those who have had the honor and privilege to know her. If you've never had rheumatology blood work drawn...let me tell you. There is a huge amount of blood that is taken (lots of tubes). If you get your blood drawn from your arm, it's a piece of cake. However, I have all of it drawn from both of my hands. It hurts like no other. What makes him good is that he will get all the work up blood work drawn at one time (unless you have to follow up for something...but that's different). Hope you don't ever need to see a rheumatologist, but if you do I highly recommend him.
