We had the worst experience with the manager of Mathnasium in Sudbury. I have nothing against the…read moretutors themselves but the manager was awful! After taking lessons during the summer, we signed up for 10 private lessons (because that was the package) and then we could sign up for more at the end of the 10 pack. They never asked us if we wanted to renew however. They just gave away our weekly time slot without consulting us or asking us if we wanted additional lessons. My daughter showed up for her weekly class today and they told her that she did not have any lessons left. That was it! Never did they ask us if we were interested in another package of 10 and I frankly assumed they would so I wasn't keeping track of the number of lessons. Who doesn't ask the person in a time slot if they'd like to renew?! When I asked her why she did that, she responded by saying that she had three new students interested (in my daughter's time slot) so why should she change the date for the three new students for the one that had the time slot???? I had never heard anything like this before and was shocked by her response. What she didn't say was that the three students collectively paying than the one student was in her best interest. It was about the money. She offered us a later, less attractive time for a young girl who has been going there since July. If I could give zero stars I would. This is not how to treat a customer who has been paying since July. Be careful about this place; it's evident that you get tossed if they find an opportunity to make more money by edging you out and then telling you they can give your young child a later spot.

I found Mathnasium when my Freshman was struggling with geometry. They've been great! Easy…read morescheduling and the time spent with them haS improved his geometry confidence AND his grades! WIN WIN. He's always positive when he's done which says a lot for teenagers. I've very happy we decided on Mathnasium.

Beyond teaching the material, he shared practical strategies to approach problems and succeed on test day. I was able to improve my SAT score from 1370 to 1540, something I couldn't have imagined before working with him. His teaching style is engaging, patient, and always tailored to your needs. If you're looking for an SAT tutor who genuinely cares about your success, Chris is the one to choose!   From mom: As a mom of six, I have used many tutors, and I cannot recommend Chris at Summit enough. When my son was paired with Chris, Chris immediately contacted me to explain his approach. We had a wonderful, unrushed conversation. Chris clearly communicated with me after each meeting. My son said that Chris not only helped him drastically improve his score from a 1370 to a 1540 but also helped him understand and appreciate math. Chris is incredibly competent but also incredibly kind. My son shared that Chris was always cheerful and avoided criticism but challenged him appropriately. My son said that he was one of the best teachers that he had had. Margaret who was our contact person at Summit was incredibly helpful and supportive. I cannot praise this company enough! My son will be attending Harvard in the fall. Summit helped make his dream a reality. We will be using Summit for our next five children. Thank you Margaret and Chris!

I called to try to get a refund or at least convert the sunken cost to one on one tutoring, but they said no. The most they would do was give me a $300 credit, but I would have to pay $200 to use it. I do not recommend this place.

I'm going into my second year at MassBay, and I honestly could not have chosen a better place to…read morereturn to school after so many years. From the beginning, I have felt welcomed, supported, and encouraged. MassBay is a college with many cultures and real diversity, and that is one of the biggest reasons I feel at home here. I truly believe that who you become is your choice, and it's up to you to take advantage of the opportunities in front of you. No matter where you are, blaming others will not change your life. What matters is showing up, staying focused, and doing your part. I'm grateful for everyone who helps make this college run every day, from the cleaning staff to the highest levels. I especially want to thank my professors for always being willing to help and encourage me. Social Work has been supportive whenever I needed guidance, Financial Aid has helped me when I had questions, and Security has been kind and helpful everywhere I go. MassBay also encourages strong student engagement. There are real opportunities to get involved on campus, connect with others, and grow as a leader. When students engage, they don't just improve their own experience, they help improve the college for everyone. And I also know that negative experiences can happen anywhere. What matters is how we respond. We can choose to be part of the solution, speak up respectfully, give clear feedback, and help improve the environment for everyone. Thank you, MassBay, for being part of my journey and for helping me grow. It takes a village.
