Dr. Fleming is a great kids dentist. He's very thorough and very experienced with what he's doing. He spent his time to educate parents about everything and future possibilities of our kid's oral health. He helped us resolve the issues with our daughter's infected teeth promptly wo waiting for too long. I wish I found him sooner. Been to multiple pediatric dentists and I can say they're just after the $$. This office might be small, but the dedication is big. We've been to many other offices. NOTHING COMPARES to the service we have received here. Dr. Fleming and the staff are amazing and great with my kids. I wished we would have found him sooner. The amount of care and patience for my toddler son is beyond great. I'm not sure where the negative reviews could come from but I suggest a lot of people get their own experience. My kids are always sent home with tooth brushes and goodies that makes them feel good about getting their cleanings or procedures done. On another note. We literally will drive from Sacramento to Lodi just for my kids to be seen. I asked for an appointment because my son was in pain. The receptionist told me I can come in the following morning at 10 40. I drop my younger son off to kinder at 10 40. I told her can I please come in at 11 I'll drop my younger son off and come. She said no so I said that's alright. I can't make that appointment. 5 minutes later I still get a text that your appt is tommorw 10 40. I replied back I can't come 10 40 can I come 11 if that's ok. I get a text back no. I recently went to a different dentist from Dr. Flemming not because of him but because I'm 23 and decided it's time for me to go to a big girl dentist. My nephew goes to Dr. Flemming now and I know when he goes Dr. Flemming is amazing to him like he was to me for the 20+ years I went. When I was less than a year old my parents had taken me to another dentist to have my first set of silver caps put on my teeth before they took me here and at that dentist I was abused which made me extremely afraid of the dentist. Whenever I went to Dr Flemming's office after the experience at the previous dentist, him and his staff knew about my traumatic experience and would be so kind and patient with me even though I would kick and scream. I had to be held by my parents up until I was about 8 and after that I still had major anxiety which would be so bad I would cry as I was getting my teeth cleaned, but still, Dr. Flemming and his staff always knew how to keep me calm. Extremely rude front desk staff The dentist recommended procedures my child didn't need ...I found this out by taking her to another dentist and was told the procedure was absolutely not necessary. The manager Joyce needs to get fired! She was rude and not understanding at all. I had my sons appointment today and she claimed I didnt fill out the covid link which I did we argued through text back and forth I told her I filled it out on Tuesday she said she never got one. I called to reschedule and she said I can no longer to my son there because I didnt fill out the link like WTF lady I did fill it out. She said I had to fill it out yesterday. I seen the reviews but didn't believe them because i had a great experience with this dentist years ago. I came today because i moved back into town and remembered this office. Our appointment was horrible. Dr. Fleming is a CHILDREN'S dentist so you'd think he'd know how to make children feel comfortable but unfortunately he did not make my child or myself comfortable. He continuously kept telling my child that on his next visit he'd be receiving, "drilling, shots and pain" due to him not flossing enough. After Mr. Fleming continuously kept saying this, i finally asked him, "why"? He apologized. During my child's cleaning, the dental assistant was on the phone, which was fine i guess, since she was talking on her watch. The equipment had went out at one point during the cleaning and the assistant went into another room, plugging stuff in and pushing buttons, door knobs etc AND DID NOT CHANGE HER GLOVES. I repeatedly asked her to change her gloves but she didn't hear me because she was talking on the phone with her child. As a healthcare professional, i can assure that if she is not changing her gloves while a child has a open wound in their mouth, it can cause potentially life threatening diseases. DISGUSTING AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. Now Dr. Fleming, i can get over the rude statements, maybe you have a dry sense of humor. We brought our daughter here to see what could be done about her teeth there was some slight decay on four front teeth. After the examination Dr Fleming recommended caps/crowns. After researching and finding our options limited because of medi cal his office offered to do the procedure for us. We were relieved to find some help but after it was all done we were very displeased with the work. Our daughter caps were very unnatural and big and placed crooked. My daughter ls teeth were aligned perfectly before this procedure She was supposed to be sedated but the staff didn't wait for out daughter to fall asleep they jus took her and said they were jus gonna check something but instead went ahead with the procedure without out knowledge After we arrived home we found our daughter had scratches on her belly from being restrained and awake during the whole process. The nurses lied and said she did "really good" but obviously she wasnt fine the whole time because she was scratching and hurting herself We now have to find another dentist to fix what he messed up out of pocket I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their child dental health Ive also read other reviews stating that if you're even a minute late you wont get seen. Well I'm not really sure how I feel about this office to be honest . All employees are really nice and genuinely seem like they care for children. BUT , my 2 year old needed two crowns on her two front teeth so we knew we had to get it done as soon as possible . Given we only have medical and it is tough to find places where toddlers are treated with this type of insurance we landed here. We were not able to have her procedure done at the surgery center they recommended due to an insurance policy issue . So , we decided to do the sedation offered in Dr. Fleming's office , which is just a syrup type medicine . Medicine did not sedate her and she was awake during the whole procedure as we were told since we were not able to be in the room with her. We were definitely not comfortable with this as we couldn't monitor our child under this stressful time . The assistant was pleasantly comforting to my daughter and I do appreciate that but the work was just terrible. My daughter literally looks like she has two pieces of chewing gum as front teeth. ( she had white crowns put in) They are lumpy uneven and extremely large compared to her other teeth just super unnatural looking. No I am not expecting it to look like her teeth but I did not expect such bad work either. We were told my daughter was not fighting to bad but when I got home and changed her she had scratches all over the side of her stomach . Which was NOT there before we took her in . We were told she would be strapped down for her own safety but yet she managed to hurt herself . Now her father and I are desperately looking for an affordable professional place to take her to fix the horrible mess. I know we have medical but I don't think she deserves to live with that for 4-5 years until her baby teeth fall out . I'm no expert but they did not do a good job , I just hope when we take her to get a second opinion it won't be as bad as we think and it can be fixed easily with as little trauma to my baby as possible . Parents have No voice or choice here. CPS closed both reports because they found nothing wrong on my part, and said these reports should never have been opened. I took my children here for about a year. The office manager tried to act like she wanted to help us, but the fact is her rules are absurdly asinine! No other dental or doctors office has a policy that says if you're one minute late u can't be seen. I was given the excuse several times that everyone has to be treated the same way this is just stupid. Punish the people that take advantage of you not the people who should be valued clients. We missed two appointments without necessary notice (so sorry I have ten children and an emergency came up, I mean heaven forbid life happen) and were kicked out. It might seem like we deserved what we got but I really don't think we did. We had two appointments rescheduled because of the the dentists schedule changing and it was not easy for me to just find childcare for my other children on the fly. Anyhow, there was also an incident with the dentist making an inappropriate sexual comment under his breathe because of something my child said. And he also threatened by child with the Papoose, saying if she didn't stop crying he was going to put her in it. There are other ways to talk to a child then threaten them. Thankfully the assistant was very kind and explained everything and my daughter was able to calm down. The other staff was wonderful and I did really really like them which is why is stayed so long and why they r getting an extra star. I would waste ur time here. Horrible Dental practice. We arrived 2 minutes late to our appointment according to their clocks. I was barely acknowledged when I walked. I was actually the first so say hello and the response was a faint hi. After making me wait in the office for 10 minutes with out any other acknowledgement i was rudely told my daughter wouldn't be seen. "Your appointment was at 8 you were late so will not see you at our practice" . Not all clocks are set to the same time. There are reasons there are 5 minute grace periods. There are such things as trains and hitting every red light and living in the country and getting stuck behind tractors to cause people to be 2 minutes late. This wasn't my only time being dissatisfied. Two weeks prior I sat in the office waiting for the "dr" to come in barely glance at my daughter before we were told we were done with our appointment. Simple cleaning turned into an hour and a half long appointment. Only reason I am writing this is in hopes that I can change other people's minds about attending this office. It saddens me that this is the only option for a lot of people and their children. Not being able to use this practice is not my loss it it yours. Quite literally the most horrendous encounter I've ever experienced. The staff is rude and it's clear the office is being poorly managed. I was left to wait for over an HOUR while the office verified my insurance eligibility. At no point did anyone come into the waiting room to check on us or let us know why our appointment was so severely delayed. I made my son's appointment several months ago and provided my insurance information at that time. There is no excuse for why this step couldn't have been done well in advance of my appointment. It is NEVER acceptable to make a patient, especially children, wait that long. I was given constraints due to COVID and them being short staffed as thin excuses but the reality is, their operations are a joke and their so called office manager is unsuited for her role. When I asked for my paperwork back, she continued to spew excuses and pulled her mask down. I asked her to keep her mask on, to which she proceeded to rip it off in anger, like an immature child. When I reminded her that she legally must wear a mask, she yelled some nonsense about not being required to do so in the office. I again asked for my paperwork back and she proceeded to shred it in front of me instead of giving it to me. Her unkempt appearance and the dingy, outdated office should have been my cue to turn on my heels and leave when I first arrived. Do yourself a favor and find another dental office. read more

I don't understand how this man is still in business. My son/children went to this so called scum. He is 13 now but is still traumatized going to a dentist. We do not go to this IT thank God we found an honest, caring dentist but when we went to this piece of crap he would strap my son down and hurt him when he was younger. I see that a lot of people have complained about the type of costumer service here being bad. I agree that the policy to not be even 1 minute late seems extreme, however this place accepts medical and a lot of places you can TRUST do not... Maybe they are trying to weed out the bad clientele. They give you a warning the first time, so it's up to you to be responsible and make it there. So with that being said, I LOVE it here. The doctors are always nice to me and my children. They take X-rays and do the cleaning in the same day! Try to get that elsewhere with medical. Not only are they nice but they take their time with us and thoroughly clean areas of my sons teeth that have calcium build up on them that others have skipped right past. The doctor also went above and beyond by helping my son to fix a flaw on his tooth for me just because I didn't like the way that it looked. He didn't have to do that, it was purely cosmetic. It's a small family friendly environment and I'm grateful to have had them now for 5 years. read more

Worst place ever! If there was a no star option I would have used that! Rudest staff with the exception of one assistant! All the others are very very rude and disrespectful! The one minute late rule is stupid. They should use this rule for people who are habitually late. Worst service ever Dr. didn't even introduce himself or try to talk to my son to make him feel safe never going back again

Worst experience ever at a Dr. office. My husband took my son to his appointment on September 4th. When he got home he told me it was not Dr. Fleming who worked on my son. I was a bit upset about that because he is the reason we go there and to us it was a pretty important appointment due to the fact that 5yr old was getting a tooth pulled and not just a simple cleaning or I wouldn't of mind. It was some lady who worked on my son that my husband was not to happy with. And it takes a lot to make my husband upset. She told my son he was being rude for spitting up blood that she should of been sucking up during his procedure. I mean come on what kid likes to taste blood. After they was done my husband told the lady dentist that my son is not a rude kid he just didn't want to taste the blood in his mouth. And that's when all the drama started. As my son and husband was leaving the receptionist told my husband we had a fee of $5 because we did a no show no call. I called to figure why that is because we never did a no show no call. I spoke with manager Joyce who was extremely rude and from the beginning and also tried to say we had a fee even though she read the notes to me that was in my file saying they called me prior to my appointment and that I told them I needed to cancel my appointment because I just got a new job and not sure of my schedule and that I would call back to reschedule. (Her exact words) So I don't understand how that is considered a no show especially If she literally said the word canceled. And I actually did call back and reschedule a new appointment witch we went to on time as well as 3 other appointments afterwards. And each time I went to those appointment I was never told I had a fee. It wasn't till my husband told the lady dentist my son was not a rude kid we all of a sudden had a fee. As I try explain to Joyce that I never did a no show she continues to rudely over talk me and tell me I'm not going to argue with you about the fee that it's only $5 like I can't afford $5 or something and that the person who made the call to me is no longer a employee there so she can't confirm with her about the notes. Like what is there to confirm if the notes says I canceled my appointment!! Joyce hangs up on me I call back asking to leave a message to Dr. Fleming and try to continue to tell her I shouldn't be charged. At that point she rudely tells me I all of a sudden don't have a fee anymore. Like what was the purpose of hanging up on me and being so rude. I'm pretty sure she wanted to look superior to her employees because I felt like she was definitely putting on a show to seem tuff. Then today Oct 2nd I get a message from them saying my daughter is not eligible with my insurance I have for her so she can not attend her appointment witch is on the Oct 9th. I called my daughters insurance and what do you know she is still very active with her insurance and they actually gave me dentist offices to call because obviously I don't want to take my kids to Dr. Fleming's office anymore witch is sad because for the most part I liked him. But the staff there especially Joyce are ridiculous. You have to live a unhappy life to be so rude to be people. I mean there was nothing wrong with my daughters insurance. I'm sure Joyce just didn't want me to complain about her to Dr. Fleming so they wanted us out of the office. We be em going to Dr. Kevin F. For 3 yrs. Never had a problem. Until one day I try to change the time of my appt. Witch it was different from the en card , that I threw a way. So we called and the secretary ask for us to speak to the manager . she qas rude call us lie rs, said that we scream at her. So at the end I still took my kids I got there 5min late. They said they couldn't not see us any more. I knew it was not because we were late min. And there were trying to charge us 25 dll. I have two kids that means 50 dlls.. so we said goodbye. After we sign in we don't wait more than 5 minutes to be called back they are fast. They are great in setting future appointments .I love the text reminders for the appointments. My kids have been going here for over seven years before they had these new office staff. Their new policy is ridiculous!
