STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!! Don't come to this office if you want teeth extraction. I had lots of pain in my teeth and wanted a tooth extraction, but they asked me to make an appoinment and wait for almost 2 months. How can I wait for 2 months when I had badly pain? Then, they prefered me to go to Western Dental. Also, Western Dental will not accept their x-ray photos of your teeth, and they will ask you to do it again. Therefore, don't waste your time and money at this office and go straight to Westen Dental. read more

Hello dear readers, I was denied service, embarrassed, treated inhumane and denied my dignity. I was accompanied by my significant other who witnessed the maltreatment and she was abhorred. Mr Kevin Pham DDS was rude as was his front desk staff while his demeanor was one of condescension and spiteful dispassionate impunity. I arrived early for my appointment and was told that I needed my photo ID for verification purposes which I brought. However, the first thing I was told upon arrival was that I needed my insurance card or I would not be seen. No pleasantries at all. Mind you, I was told my insurance was verified and I have coverage both over the phone and at the office. I have not received my insurance ID yet but I am fully covered. I made the appointment over the phone and the person I spoke with said, "bring your photo ID", and I stated no problem as the worker had already checked my coverage and verified benefits. I reported at that time that my bridge had fallen out and I have a toothache. Upon arrival I presented my ID and was told that I could not be seen without my insurance card. No paperwork was given and I was told that she could see that I have coverage but I needed my card very rudely and condescending. I mentioned that she was being inhumane and not showing me very good customer service. She raised her voice as if I had spoken profanity and Mr Pham appears and ask me what my problem was with even more attitude than his assistant. Mind you again, I was in pain and suffering extremely with tooth discomfort. He proceeded to tell me that they offer the best care and I needed my card or I could not be seen, end of story. I replied that I have my State's photo identification as requested during my appointment phone call. He let me know that was not good enough under no uncertain terms. I should also mention that he had previously treated my minor son and if I ever needed to be seen for treatment to come to him, which I did. He then spun on his heels and walked away with a disgusted look on his face. Never once did I get asked about my pain and suffering by either himself or his staff. I left and went home to retrieve my insurance paperwork which I was told that I did not need while making the appointment, costing me time and money in wasted fuel. Upon return, staff told me that my paperwork was acceptable proof of coverage. Here's the kicker! I was then told that the DDS would not see me because he was not comfortable, but he never once asked me for information regarding my discomfort, pain, and suffering. He took an oath to do no harm but yet his behavior, lack of professionalism, and absent leadership skills harmed me greatly. He sent a lackey up to support his front desk staff to inform me of this decision. He couldn't even look me in the eye. Cowardice was on full display by front office staff as well as back office staff, and I let them know that I would be reporting them to the state licensing board based upon the treatment or lack thereof that I had received. I am would be giving this dental office zero stars but that's not an option, also I would not recommend their office to anyone. Carpe Diem... So, I went back to this dentist a few times and continued to like his work, for the most part. One evening I saw the dentist and he worked on my mouth. It was after hours and I was about 7 min late for my appointment. I apologized, but it couldn't have been avoided (I got out late from work). He seemed quite upset because I think he felt he was doing me a (very expensive) favor allowing me to come in late. He was in a hurry and didn't seem to care much that he was hurting me. I would much rather you tell me you couldn't see me than hurt me and treat me badly as you work on me. Considering I have such a major fear of the dentist, this certainly didn't help matters. Also, as time went by, I found one of his front office staff to be very abrasive... to the point where I didn't even want to go there anymore. I found myself avoiding calling for appointments, until I stopped going altogether. Please don't give me more reasons to neglect my dental care! Just so it's clear, this didn't JUST happen. This was actually a couple of years ago (2012, maybe?) but I felt it was important to balance out the 5 star review I did before with this one. read more

I went to get more clarification on the copayment charge that my parents incurred on their first visit to this Dr. Kevin Thang Pham's office. After speaking with the insurance company, I was advised to find out the codes because it could have been something that was not covered. I was also informed that if something was not going to be a covered service, we should have been notified before going to the appointment. I found out that it was a service that was not covered and that was why my parents had to pay for it. I told her that it would be nice if I can be informed about why we were being charged next time around and if it was something that was going to be or not going to be a covered service. The receptionist then quickly respond that I was told about it. I said that if I was told about it then I would not be there asking about the copayment. She then continued on and informed me about the recommended services. She asked me that I should have received it through mail. I told her that we have not yet received anything about it. My parents told me that they were given no paperwork when they came home either. She then told me that maybe next time when my parents go, we need to have someone that speaks English to go with them. I told her that I understand that but my dad speaks and understands enough English. He probably doesn't understand dental medical terms (as if everyone does) but if explained in laymen terms, he gets it. The receptionist printed out the detailed information and reimbursed me for not getting the cleaning done for my dad. Then she told me that I can take them elsewhere. I then got pissed at this point and I told her that I would. After that, I also called the insurance to file a complaint and a grievance. I am not upset about the payment....I can afford it. I just needed to know what the charges were for and I feel that's fair enough. I was not upset at all because I understand that their are copayments that will need to be paid. I was pissed off that she was rude about my parents understanding English and then told me that I can take them elsewhere. We have been very fortunate to have had a good dentist that is now retired. Dr. Kevin Thang Pham saw the whole thing but made no effort and stopping his receptionist to be rude. I was not even talking to her in a demeaning manner but of course she was towards me. They are not a friendly place and are rude towards their patients whom they think don't understand English. read more

Dr. Pham, It's unfortunate that i got blamed for your front end clerk's mistake. She booked my appt & confirmed: Thursday at 9:30 am i even called her again to confirm that the time was 9:30 am. I arrived at 9:20 am. (10 minutes early) The minute I walk in the door your front end clerk is telling me I was an hour late? I was never scheduled for 8:30 am. She is wrong. Because of her mistake you did not have time to treat my tooth even though I had a 9:30 scheduled appt. and I explained to you the situation and you asked to end the conversation? I hate going to the dentist. A lot. But I woke up one Friday in January and just knew that the pain in my jaw was the bad kind of pain. I'd never actually been to Dr. Pham before, even though I'd chosen him as my dentist for my insurance. I called his office at 8am and the girl on the phone told me they could see me on Monday. I begged her to see me that day. And she came through. Fifteen minutes later she called me back, and they fit me in at 9am. Dr. Pham's office is excellent. I don't NEED the movies but I don't mind them. I did find it really nice though, that the monitor could be used to show me my digital x-rays and the failed root canal causing me so much pain. Did you know root canals can fail? I didn't either, but it was easy to see on the x-ray, and it was available instantly. Dr. Pham worked with me and my insurance to make up a treatment plan. He does suggest the "state-of-the-art" (and most expensive) treatment options, but he presents all the options, and did not push me when I went with the cheapest one. "Proceed" being pull my tooth, do a bone graft, install an implant, place a little adapter on the implant, and place a crown. It took several visits and several months. But Dr. Pham is an excellent dentist. When my crown was placed, it sat a little high in my mouth and I was worried that he wasn't going to understand what was wrong with it (I've had difficulties in the past). But Dr. Pham knew what he was doing, and didn't stop shaping the form until I was comfortable with the fit. I also noticed that when he's going to be doing work in my mouth for an extended period of time, he puts some vaseline on my lips so they don't get chapped and dry. Maybe it's the little things, but I've never had a dentist do this before! Dr. Pham also remembers me! During the course of treatment I graduated from school, took my boards, and started a new job.. every time I go in, he asks about the next stage in my career. A fantastic change from some doctors I've had who can't even glance at the chart for my reason for visiting before they walk in the room. There were some children in the office last time I went in and it looked like they got little toys for visiting! (I'm not above bribing children to keep the dentist experience positive.) In short: my new favorite! I'd recommend Dr. Pham to all my friends and family. read more

This was my first time going to the dentist in 5 years, and I was nervous to try a new dentist. After researching the dentists I could choose from for my insurance, I chose Dr. Pham, and I'm so happy I did! He started the appointment by introducing himself and giving me a tour of the office and treatment area. He then did the x-rays, which he explained were state-of-the-art digital x-rays which reduce the exposure to radiation. Next, he used a little camera to take pictures of the inside of my mouth, which I was able to see at the same time because he has a monitor right above the chair that displays the images. While he was reviewing the x-rays, he played short informational videos about dental health on the same monitor. And before he started the cleaning, he actually put a movie on for me to watch during the procedure. I've never been one to be afraid of the dentist, but this was a nice feature, and I imagine would be a helpful tool for those who need something to distract them from the work being done in their mouth! Throughout the procedure, Dr. Pham would make sure I was doing OK and felt comfortable (he even offered me a blanket because I looked cold). I am very pleased with my overall experience and impressed with the high-tech equipment...I would highly recommend Dr. Pham to anyone!!!! read more

Been bringing my 85 yr. old mother here for over a year. Dr. Pham has been an outstanding, caring dentist for her since day one. He has even called her after hours to see how she was doing after having a crown put in. I totally understand all patients heal differently and sometimes gums take more time to heal than others before you can go to step 2. We have never had an issue with the staff. Dr. Kevin's office is a great place for dental care. The workers there are all very kind, and they made sure that I was comfortable when putting the impression trays in my mouth. I came in to get new retainers, and the dentist there was very friendly. I was a bit picky about how the retainers felt in my mouth, but the dentist was very patient with me and made sure that it was trimmed enough so that the retainers fit comfortably in my mouth. What can I say as a dental patient of Western Dental for years me and my family there is no comparison ! Finding a dentist that accepts denti-cal and your not waiting hours just to be seen. Me and my family are in and out with great personal service. Dr. Pham asks my kids questions how are they doing and how is school I love that as well as do they or I have questions. The only thing I don't like is they only see kids 13 and older which leaves my little one out. I highly recommend this Dentist office. read more

First off, I just wanted to say I've always hated going to the dentist. But I did go here for my invisalign treatment then switched to traditional braces. I love love love the staffs here and the environment as well. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming that I actually don't mind going here monthly AT ALL. Dr. Pham is so nice and he remembers everything that I tell him about myself. He's always asking me about school and such. I have really taken it into my consideration that I would like to become an orthodontist one day - because of them! They are so flexible with my school schedule, at-home schedule, and my decisions. I was a first time patient and it was the worst office I have ever went to. The office manager pressured me to sign up for a credit card and used price gouging tactics. I was told I would need a root canal and it would cost me $3500 dollars and that was with insurance! When I went back to my home and looked at the insurance coverage price list, the procedure was absolutely free! The dentist was a nice person; maybe because he was clueless of all the fishy business, however, the office manager/receptionist, looked for every opportunity to over charge for treatments that are reimbursed by insurance companies or for services which were never rendered. Dr. Kevin Pham is a jerk! I went to his office for a crown. In the beginning it was impressing. His staff and their mannerism and the tour are what I am seeking in an office, He does have the technology and it's a one stop place to get your dental work done. However the back end side, such as customer service, it sucks. They don't follow up on your insurance benefits. You have to call and remind them...several times! In my situation because Dr. Pham and his staff didn't send in files. I was force to make a decision while seated in the chair. On October 16, 2010, I was charge $907.00. According Dr. Pham, the plan he gives is 50% instead of the 25% my provider plan covered. I explained to Dr. that I had received different quotes from my provider. I asked Dr. Pham if he had covered my cost with my provider; Dr. Pham said no because each time I come in to his office, he only get $2.00 per visit. . There were complication after my visit, I called Dr. Pham several times after receiving my crown and I wasn't able to contact Dr. Pham until the following week. I missed one week of work because my mouth was swollen and affected from the work. So, I had my provider call Dr. Pham office. He and one of his assistant were very upset because I got my provider involve and force Dr. Pham reimburse what he over charge me. My provider reported him to the Dental Association Complaint Board. He was given 90 days to refund the money me. It's unfortunate because I did like the atmosphere there. I decided to go somewhere else and would not recommend this office until their customer service gets better and more organized! read more

STAY AWAY!! When this dental office was first opened at their old facility the staffs were very friendly until they've gotten more comfortable running the office, their services SUCKS BIG TIME. They rush through their procedures while working on your teeth and on top of that ridiculously OVERCHARGE. They won't tell you the cost upfront but will bill you. So don't be surprised if you get a bill in the mail from them. Very funny I called the office regarding my bill recently couple days ago ($30), wondering why insurance didn't cover, so I was told if I didn't pay for it that my child (patient) will not be seen for his upcoming appt that she, Maritza (supposedly the manager) will cancel his appt scheduled for upcoming October 2015, and that for me to call back to schedule the appt after bill paid. I mean what kinda place is this! Money hungry over $30! I told her oh no worries $30 wont break me I will definitely pay it and MOST DEFINITELY not going back for their service. I've referred so many ppl here at first and I am embarrassed cause they tell me their experience there wasn't great either. So therefore by Dr. Kevin Pham's office let's see how long you guys will be in business. Sadly I have to give at least one star to this place.. If there was a way to not give any stars, then I wouldn't at all. If you are looking for a dentist, i suggest you look elsewhere. Dr. Pham was great in the beginning of when I came in for ortho service. My main concern was correcting my bottom teeth and midline. after now after one year. you dont see any difference and I asked him about my mid line. all he said was "that's how its going to be" I was like...I just wasted all this time and money for nothing. Not to mention the receptionist is extremely rude. They are extremely horrible at getting back to their patients, calling back and emailing. I've actually referred 8 patients to him and all has came back to me with complaints. I sure, i wish i didn't refer anyone to him for ortho. service.
