I worked directly with Don, the founder. He was very knowledgeable about the insurance space and explained all of my issues/options clearly, which was extremely helpful in navigating the frustratingly complicated task of insuring a new car in DC. Was also easy to reach for any questions that came up. Highly recommend.

We can take care of all your insurance needs, whether it be auto insurance, home insurance, life insurance, commercial insurance, or long term care insurance. Because we represent multiple insurance companies we are able to provide you with our best option and not just the only option we have. We are experienced and friendly. We want to make the insurance process easy and informative. We pride ourselves on helping people understand their insurance so that they are better off even if they decide not to purchase insurance from us. We do have some unique product offerings. So whether you have a high-value home or own a business we may be able to provide you with coverage that you don't currently have. With regard home insurance, Erie Insurance offers guaranteed dwelling replacement cost - this means that there is no cap on what Erie would pay to rebuild the dwelling. This is a unique feature that few other companies provide. On the home insurance Erie also offers underground service line coverage and earthquake coverage. Many insurance companies simply don't offer these coverages, which means that if an earthquake were to occur and cause damage you would not be covered. Both Erie Insurance and Progressive also offer rideshare insurance in Maryland, DC, and Virginia.

When I moved into my neighborhood years ago, I went the easy way with picking my insurance agent,…read moreusing the same State Farm agent that the community was using for its master policy. In retrospect, that was a really bad decision as the agent pretty much took all of our business for granted, between being pretty much unresponsive when it came to customer service, never doing policy reviews, and ever-increasing premiums despite never having filed a claim. The last straw was when I reached out to my agent to help solve a problem about some of my policies not displaying online several times, finally receiving a response telling me to get in touch with State Farm's IT department directly. Excuse me? What's an agent for if they don't work on behalf of their customers? It was obviously time to leave State Farm and shop around for a new agent. Several of my friends have used Erie for years and spoke very highly of them, so I hopped onto the Erie web site and found Foresight Insurance quite literally a few blocks away from my house - and this was indeed my lucky day, landing in the hands of Michael Cruz and his team. I made an appointment to meet Michael in person, and he spent well over an hour with me reviewing my old policies, asking me a lot of insightful questions about my home, car, and umbrella liability policies, then going through some options with me. By the end of our meeting, I not only had better coverage that were well-tailored to my individual needs, but my premiums actually went down significantly. The excellent customer service experience didn't end there - not only did the folks at Foresight arrange for canceling my old policies so I wouldn't have to deal with State Farm directly, Michael followed up with me about a week later to bring me up to date on the transfers and to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. When I traded in my old car for my new wheels a few months later, getting the new insurance in place couldn't have been smoother, with Michael's team also making sure that I knew what to do when - including not cancelling my old auto policy before turning in my tags! All of my questions have always been answered very quickly, often within an hour of me sending an e-mail. You can't ask for better responsiveness than that! I'm just coming up on my first year with Foresight, and once again, Michael has shown how focused his firm is on customer service, doing a policy review with me and making some minor changes to my policies to bring things up to date. You really couldn't ask for better people to work with - they're very good at what they do, they put their customers first, and they're incredibly nice people as well. So, the next time your renewal paperwork arrives in the mail, give Michael and his team a call and get an 'insurance check-up'. You'll be very, very glad you did!

Getting away from this agency was the best thing I ever did…read more I wasn't really a big fan of Allstate to begin with, but since my dad had it for years, when he signed me up with his agent, I didn't protest. A few years later, I had a no fault claim (BEFORE I signed on with this agency) and it was handled poorly... I had to write complaint letters to upper management before anything got done and the process took months. Needless to say I was looking for a new agent (at the time I didn't realize that the problems with Allstate were systemic, and not just limited to one agency). I had recently moved to the area and called the Vazzana Dooley Allstate office by accident. Since my present agent was all the way out in Gaithersburg and nowhere near my new home (plus he was less than timely about getting back to me with answers to my questions), I decided to get the address and see if I could transfer my business to this office since they were right in my neighborhood. The staff was nice enough (not very attentive, but acceptable), and walked me through the transfer process. They also told me a little bit about their office, and how they were a women-owned business (owned by 2 sisters, I believe), which I'm always proud to support. Unfortunately, even though the owners were well within ear shot, they were too busy engaging in their own personal conversation (which I could hear... we were that close to each other) to poke their heads out and say hi to a new customer. It was the middle of the work day and one of the owners was just hanging out in the office wearing a teeny tiny tennis skirt (incredibly unprofessional). That should have been my first red flag... lack of professionalism. I shrugged off the rudeness and transferred anyway. Everything was ok (seeing that I had no claims) until I found another insurance company with much better rates, substantially better coverage and stellar customer service. To make a long story short, it took multiple conversations (some of them less than friendly) to get the situation resolved and finally cancel my policy. I ended up asking my new agent from the other insurance company to intervene on my behalf in order to get the transaction completed, since I was making no progress with my calls and getting increasingly frustrated. The deal finally got done, with my new agent's help, and I have never been happier. Suffice it to say that I am no longer with this agency, or with Allstate. If you expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, take your money elsewhere. Apparently the owners are too busy playing games (both on the court and off) to give customers the time, respect and attention that they deserve.
