I'm so glad this place finally opened--and it's great. Of course it's still too early to tell but for now it's extremely clean, wonderfully organized, and well-staffed. It somehow reminds me of Whole Foods (which is a good thing).. There are plenty of organic and ethnic products, such as Russian brands of kefir and farmer's cheese, as well as Polish cookies and sweets. I would consider changing my review to 5 stars if they prolonged their hours.. maybe 6-12, instead of 9-9.

Quick/friendly service - great selection, good prices. Right down the block from the beach as well.

A Warm, Authentic Gem You'll Fall in Love With…read more My fiancée, Likseva, and I stopped in tonight on our way back to Brooklyn and it instantly became one of those special finds you never forget. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with kindness and warmth by the owner, a lovely Montenegrin-Albanian woman who runs this restaurant with genuine pride and heart. You can feel her touch in everything, from the cozy lighting to the soft music playing in the background. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was layered with flavor, balance, and soul. You can tell this is real Mediterranean cuisine, made by someone who truly loves what she does. The staff was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was calm and comforting, and everything about the evening felt genuine. This is more than a restaurant. It's a place built on tradition, care, and love. Likseva and I will absolutely be coming back soon to visit the owner again and enjoy another beautiful dinner together. As a Marine Corps Colonel who has traveled and dined all over the world, I can say that Cafe Latte is a place that stands out in every way. Highly recommended. #CafeLatte #StatenIsland #MediterraneanCuisine #HiddenGem #MarineCorpsColonelApproved #BrooklynToStatenIsland #AlbanianHospitality #MontenegrinSpirit #LiksevaAndMark "Me zemër e me shpirt" - with heart and soul

We always go there or order online to get sandwiches…read more(they should have an option to create your own sandwich online but they don't), mozzarella, etc. My husband was even their mailman for a little while before they moved. Yesterday I sent my husband for sandwiches and mozzarella for Memorial Day. Since they closed at 3pm he had to get there earlier because we were going to eat at 4pm. I wrote down what to get on paper and he took it with him. 2lbs of bocconcini , 1 mozzarella, 1 hero with roast beef and yellow American cheese (this was fine), another hero with roast beef, ham and turkey (this was fine), my wrap just roast beef double wrap (the wrap gets soggy and falls apart so I get a double wrap so I can take the wet wrap off and re wrap with the not soggy one) (this was not fine). I got a single wrap with roast beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese (It was either Swiss or Provolone) and mayo. I'm allergic to tomatoes, cheese and eggs (which are in the mayo). I'm glad I opened it 1st. If I took a bite without opening it, I would've been taken to the hospital. I through it out. I had some chips instead. If you're going for sandwiches, make sure they show it to you before they wrap it up or check before you leave. If you're allergic to anything and it's on there it could be very dangerous for you.

This is a brilliant little grocery with all the essentials and quite a bit of Asian variety…read moreavailable too, along with a small produce selection. There's a lot packed in there! It's a good choice for coffee, snacks, but also fennel, vegan food, kimchi, or eucalyptus cuttings (and, like many small grocery stores, some things are better deals than others). Importantly for the neighborhood, Bad Wife also sell live plants and flowers at very reasonable prices. In the spring and summer, they'll often have flowering plants available. Mrs. Lee refused to accept the return. She referred to a sign that read, plants are not returnable. That particular sign was displayed at at the back of the plant section, on a high shelf. Interestingly enough, at the cash register, there is a sign that states, "Refund policy provided within 2 days receipt." It is mandatory for stores to visibly display their return policy at the cash register. 'The Bad Wife' failed to do so. Mrs. Lee's attitude was rude and dismissive despite being told return policies must be clearly visible by the cash register.
