The lady at register was nice too! She explained the different containers of sauce by the register , bc I was looking for the hot salsa. Ok, now onto the Al pastor! Its spicy! It didn't need the additional hot sauce that i bought on the side! It was delicious, but, my kids couldn't eat any because too spicy for them. It was very well marinated and I love the chunks of pineapple. They should consider making a version without so much spice so the kids can enjoy too. Almost all of their ingredients come from their motherland, so it is authentically made. There's the soft kunafa, sheep ghee, sheep cheese, and pistachio.... And Mohammed, the owner, takes pride in that and how he makes it. He makes sure all his customers are given a somewhat close experience to how it's like im the motherland. And speaking of that, being inside of Nuthut personally warms my heart because of all the beautiful Palestinian art and touches of the culture. All the staff members that I have encountered have been nothing but kind and soooo helpful whenever I have a question or am curious about something. If you're lucky enough to catch them on the day they make their batch, you can watch them make their house blend on the roaster. It is a cool process to watch especially since their house blend uniquely has 5 different beans!!! So all coffee lovers, I mean true ones... if you need a locally owned wholesale coffee provider, this is where you should go. We usually head over to Mitsuwa in Edgewater whenever we want to buy specialty Japanese food goods, but figured we'd check out Sunrise Mart since we were visiting Japan Village. My husband found some vegan miso soup packets and bought a bunch of those to try. Because it was a hot summer day, we didn't get produce or anything frozen, but were happy to see they offer a good selection of both. While he was getting real food and pantry items, I perused the snack aisles and beer cases haha. While it's small in square footage, it makes the best out of the space so there's a wide variety of grocery products. I can't speak to the fish or butcher areas because we're a vegetarian household (he's vegetarian and I don't cook non-veg because of cross contamination concerns), but I thought that these sections looked good to me.

I usually come when I need something that's from a Japanese market - like the vitamin c drink from Japan (pokka) or if I want natto. I usually love coming to this area because right outside of the market is a food hall and if you explore around, there's an upstairs shopping area as well.
