Having resided in this apartment complex for two years, I am compelled to share an honest review…read more The amenities and location are satisfactory for me, and the majority of my neighbors are amiable. However, I recently encountered a distressing incident that has instilled a sense of insecurity within me. On May 15th, approximately at 4:30 am, I was subjected to a near-physical assault by an individual residing in the building on my right. Although I was unfamiliar with him at the time, I have since discovered that he has been engaging in persistent harassment towards me & others. On May 18th, I was accompanied by my partner to our building entrance, and upon passing his apartment, he emerged. It was as if he had anticipated my presence. Despite contacting the police twice regarding the harassment, they have been unable to take any action due to the absence of physical altercations, arrests, or any form of communication with the individual. The building office has also been informed of the situation, but no measures have been implemented. I have come to the realization that I am not the sole tenant who has been subjected to harassment. I am aware of three other individuals who have been pursued into their ground-floor apartments. I am apprehensive about my safety and am uncertain of the appropriate legal recourse. This experience is unprecedented for me, and I am concerned that the apartment complex is not adequately safeguarding its tenants. Furthermore, I am unable to identify the individual's name, and I have repeatedly requested that the leasing office provide this information in order to obtain an order of protection. However, they have been unresponsive to my requests. The police informed me verbally twice that they should be able to provide this information, particularly since this is not the first complaint filed against this individual.

In our experience, many of those concerns are not isolated and speak to a broader pattern of poor management. It is disappointing to see a management approach that often feels more focused on extracting than fostering a positive living experience for residents. In short, we would strongly advise looking elsewhere. . . .

Inside, there's a great uplifting project going on. I lived in a one bedroom with a garden in the first floor exactly what I needed. It's very quiet. The apartment had just gotten a black marble tile and counters face lift in the kitchen before I moved in. Lovely and easy to clean. All modern appliances. The apartment had been well cared for and cleaned before I got there. That was the first indication that Joseph Hughes, the property owner , is fussy about the way things are done and he checks in on projects daily. He and his daughter, Sabrina are friendly and accommodating. Since I arrived, the communication to enter the building has gone high tech, but EASY TO USE. My neighbors were all nice people. The apartment was a good size and the garden was just a little oasis away from all the noise and bustle of major roads. The tenants are diverse. Young, old, and in between - polite and friendly. I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a bit of quiet and a view of trees, shrubs and flowers. I enjoyed my time there and if I hadn't had health problems I would still be there - I want to see what the next building project will be now.

All of the problems, maintenance, and lack of professionalism from members of the leasing office is why this was such an unpleasant experience for my wife and I. Honestly since we moved in we encountered problem after problem (a broken and filthy washer, gas leak from the dryer, garbage disposal broke and flooded the kitchen floor, bathroom ceiling leaking from who knows what and more...) Also, the walk through was scheduled to be done with a member of the leasing office but instead they sent the maintenance man. We had scheduled it via phone call, email, and in person and due to military orders had to have it done at a certain time and date. We were told the apartment was in good standing and we should only be hit for the carpet because of the seal coating from the parking lot. I had to reach out to them to receive our final bill which came as a surprise ($800) on top of the full month of rent we paid ($1200) even though we moved out in the middle of the month due to naval order expiration.  Getting in contact with anyone from the leasing office was next to impossible because they were either away during business hours, closed during business hours or don't return their messages left with leasing office staff.  Overall this was an awful experience!

I rented a place in January. I was shown the model and was very impressed. The location and the…read moremodel are very nice. I asked to see the unit that I would move into and was told that they were not permitted to show it to me. I also asked very specifically to make sure it would not smell like smoke. I was told "all of our units are non-smoking, so you don't need to worry about that." I took their word for it. 6 weeks later I had already ordered all new furniture and decor based on the floor plan. It was all arriving on the day I could move in. When I opened the door to my new place, it was a shock and very disappointing. Here are the issues I found waiting: - The unit STUNK of smoke. It smelled worse than a 70's dive bar. Smoke and tar was still visible on surfaces. Smoke stains and tar were visible on windows, screens, and everywhere. It was disgusting. - They had done a very crappy paint job. Paint was splattered on the hardwood floors, on the counter tops, and all over the place. Major gaps in the paint were visable. - Water stains were visbable on the drywall near the sink. - Shelves were missing from my cabinets. - There was no washer or dryer in my unit even though they were supposed to be included. It took weeks to get the basic issues fixed. The place still stinks like smoke and they don't seem to care. The maintenance team actually told me that they laughed about 'Dead Fred' that was the previous tenant. They called him dead Fred because they all knew he was a chain smoker and walked around with his oxygen and cigarettes all day. They obviously knew the place stunk of smoke. When I complained about how bad it was, the offered nothing in return or compensation. No consideration was given. They only offered to mask the smell with air fresheners. After I insisted more be done, they attempted to clean the old AC/heating units and ducts. It made very little difference. When I asked about getting a garage, it took weeks for them to find out if there was even one available. When you ask for help, they talk about being short staffed. The office staff is nice, but they can't get anything done in a timely fashion. All the evidence is that this place is really poorly managed. The maintenance staff is different people every time you turn around. Stay away - it's not worth the money or the aggravation. It's a shame, because the facilities could be really nice. It's a trap.

For me, the main concern was pet-friendly, space and amenities on the premises. It would be hard to find a place with the indoor and outdoor pool, full gym and pretty friendly management. I had a few issues when I moved into the unit but they were quickly resolved once I made management aware of it. Courtney & Laura are always happy to help with whatever issues I have with my unit. Smart system: I pay what? $55 for a smart system that never works and I can't get the help to get it fixed. Common area interiors: it's old smelly and ripped up carpet. Paint is pealing too and the intercom system doesn't work. And people just leave trash in hall ways. Even when addressed they didn't care to address it with the tenants who left trash in trash can overnight and all of the next morning until pick up. Rent price: $2200 for a single bedroom is outrageous but shame on me for not doing better research before coming here. Outdated might I add. Customer service: great responses when in person but terrible over email or phone. Unnecessary fees: there's a fee for everything. If you can name it, it's a fee... why am I paying for common area gas and electricity... why is there a constant $8 rent service fee when the rent hasn't even posted. I'm paying for stuff to get delivered too... like come on. Will not recommend and I'm happy I'm leaving.
