Beware of Rogue Credit Union's Auto Loan Practices - Payment Blocked, Car Wrongfully Repossessed…read more I normally don't leave reviews, but my recent experience with Rogue Credit Union deserves to be shared so others can protect themselves. I financed a 2025 Lexus GX 550 through Rogue Credit Union (NMLS #776623). In July 2025, without warning, my online and phone payment access was blocked. I was told by a representative that my account was in "repossession status" -- even though I was ready, willing, and able to make my payment. Instead of working with me, Rogue CU accepted a statement from a so-called "local business owner" claiming my vehicle was abandoned. This individual was not a government official, and there was no inspection or verification by any public authority. According to 911 records, the Miami Police Department, and the repossession company (Takeover Towing & Recovery), the car was taken solely for alleged non-payment -- not for abandonment, lack of maintenance, or relocation as I was told by Rogue CU. To make matters worse, I received a demand email for the full loan balance the day before the repossession. This left me no realistic chance to resolve the matter before losing my vehicle. Rogue CU then reported me as delinquent to the credit bureaus -- despite blocking my payment access. This ordeal has cost me thousands in rentals, hotels, and transportation, and caused serious credit damage. I have filed complaints with the CFPB, FTC, and other regulators. If you are considering financing with Rogue Credit Union, please research their practices carefully and keep thorough records of every payment, call, and email. Based on my experience, payment blocking and inconsistent repossession explanations are real risks here.

They were able to close my house and obtain my mortgage in 2 weeks ...... super fast. This saved me from having to find temporary housing storage for my household. This kind of service is rare in the banking and financial services. Derek Winchell is a professional he kept me posted every step of the way and even met with me on Saturday to complete the loan application. They were outstanding!

It's a very long story, but the short story is James Beard pulled my credit after me specifically telling him not to over the phone before my consultation. I felt tricked because I had already told him not to pull my credit because I wasn't ready to buy, I just had some questions. He asked if he could take a copy of my tax records. So he could help determine how much we could afford, and he came back a few mins later and said "So, I just pulled your credit.... etc. etc." I felt stuck with them at that point since they had already pulled my credit and if I were to go anywhere else my credit would have to pulled again. So I reluctantly started the process with them. I was shocked. But let it go because I figured there was nothing I could do so no sense in getting upset and making it awkward. Few months later I called the office again and talked with Becky Clearwater, I called to ask a general question about a property I had some questions on out of curiosity. She gave me the answer I was looking for, and our conversation ended. A few days later I got an email notification since I track my credit and I was notified that Fairway had pulled my credit AGAIN without my permission!!! I immediately contacted corporate office. After May phone calls and emails they halfway admitted they were wrong and offered to remove the last pull off my report if I signed this paper saying they had permission on the first one. I didn't feel comfortable signing that because it wasn't true. So I called the company they used to pull my credit. They contacted fairway and Becky at fairway wrote a statement that was a complete LIE. She said that I gave her permission and that I was "so excited about this new property" completely faulse. After that I got sick for a couple months (literally bedridden and hospitalized for weeks, unable to eat, etc.) so I didn't have the ability to fight it and deal with it. I just started feeling better and contacted fairway again saying the issue had not been resolved. They're lawyer contacted me, and at the end of our conversation she sounded like it would be taken care of. An hour or so later she called and said actually they can't have it removed because they had already written a statement saying they did have authorization so they couldn't make another statement saying they had lied. So because of their recklessness and mistakes I am completely screwed. My credit was barely high enough to get a loan, and each time they pulled my credit it lowered my score. So thanks a lot Becky for lying, and James for making me feel stuck with your fairway office and unable to go anywhere else since you knew my credit would have to be pulled AGAIN.

Grants Pass, a Rogue River, Medford was all offering 4.05% interest. there a new branch and Ashland was offering 5.25% interest but they have informed me that I had to open up a new account in Ashland. And as I told them, why would I want two different accounts from the same bank? Or why do I want to cancel the account that I've had for close to 19 years to open one tomorrow at the same Bank. A few days later I went and canceled my account with you all my money took it. To first interstate where they paid me 5.15% interest with no checking account no requirement no nothing other than just 5.15% interest for anybody who wants it. I also felt that if Evergreen was being this sneaky and this is underhanded to their customers that offering them 5.25% for four months that they probably weren't going to do nothing special for them after the four months expired. So I somewhat valued customer of 19 years left. I hope they treat you better than they treated me. Here is an update to your comment you left you say you value your customers. No you do not. That's why I left your bank of 19 years. Why do you offer different interest rates? Are Ashlyn versus Medford in grants Pass do you not like your customers in Medford Grants Pass anymore. 4.04% in Medford or grants Pass on a CD or 5.25% in Ashland. So you're screwing over your Medford in grants Pass customers. I do not feel valued at all Here is an update and a response to Evergreen's response. Yes I know you offer CDs that's what this whole review was about. And again my comment was you offered different rate to different branch's . Why should grants Pass, Rogue River, Central Point and Medford get screwed over with 4% on a cd. Which is very very low interest. While you offer your customers in Ashland branch 5.25% interest And for what it's worth first interstate offer 5.1% with no checking account. And Wells Fargo offers 5.20 percent with the checking account at any of their branches So again, I don't believe people in Ashland should get a higher rate than people in Medford or grants Pass Unless you're just trying to screw over your other customers.
