The Hall st WF branch is head and shoulders above any Ive used in three states. The people there are incredible! In fact, not always being a fan of some of WFs corporate policies, especially regarding equity loan division in the past, the reason I stay is all the employees there. I feel like family there. Ive been in the people service industry for decades and always observe service where ever I am. Ive seen nothing but great, smiling, easy to deal with employees there. Great service to anyone else around me while inside. No I don't work there and Im not related to anyone there. Because of that, I tolerated all kinds junk fees, hassles, and nonsense, all because I was so glad to have the safe deposit box. Well guess what? After just a couple of years, they told me that they are just stealing back all the safe deposit boxes anyway. If I had known they were going to do that, I never would have paid all those junk fees to stay with Chase, plus I never even got a prorated refund for the rent I had already put toward the box. This is a brazen scam, and I will be submitting it to a class action law firm.

Unfortunately I cannot go anywhere else because it is tied in with my Subaru Lease Agreement. We were there to add me onto my mom's accounts so that I can help her manage her finances as she is getting older and needs more assistance. The process seemed laborious and time intensive from what I read online. But it was less than 30 minutes and Dena was thorough and explained everything to us and gave us her card should we need ANY help. Highly recommend her and this branch. I've had checking, savings, and mortgage accounts with Umpqua for 5 years. The problems I have with…read morethem are the following: 1) You can only use their ATM, 2) You cannot access funds from overseas (such as during vacations), 3) Funds transfer to another bank is extremely limited on a per-day and per-month basis. I wanted to move several thousand dollars to another bank but could not, or it would take me 2 months to move the funds due to monthly limitations. I am closing this account. I have to write a check for the balance in order to close the account because electronic transfers are so limited. Think about this when you want to close your account. It's quite painful.

Times like: - I lose my wallet and need some cash to float me through the week. - I get a returned check but it looks like it's already been cashed. - I lose my wallet again. Here's what's nice about this one, from my experiences (informed by abovementioned Times): - Generally low to no line. - ATM outside. - Tellers are behind thick glass, which I guess is just regular bank MO these days, but they're very professional and seem relatively happy to be there, while not all overly enthusiastic and up in your business. - Drive-thru window with the drawer version of that old bank tubey thing. Occasionally you get the little upsell, about a new credit card, or a refinance, but I understand it as a necessary evil. No thanks, teller friends, but no real harm, either. I've been able to complete my transactions with no hassle every time, and when I'm dealing with matters of my hard-earned dollar bills, that's quite alright by me.
