Service extremely slow and expensive for mediocre food. Took 1.5 hrs for a croissant chicken sandwich, kids hamburger, and a reuben. Just like the Woodbury location, will never go back. Don't waste your time going here, drive 2 miles down the road for culvers, more economical with time and dollars. read more

I love Keys cafe and I'm loyal to the Robert Street location. However, I had to go to this location for the mini tiered cake as I don't believe any other location carries it. Talk about ADORABLE! I absolutely love how this Stillwater location has a parking lot. It's located in a strip mall. Easy peasy! Lots of staff behind the counter and ready to help, but I was browsing the dessert display for a bit before i decided on what I exactly wanted. I also ended up getting one of the cosmic brownie macarons. Restaurant was definitely busy, but staff were attentive and it was clean. I came at 8:25 pm and the doors were locked. I just asked and pointed to the person that works there behind the counter & when the lady came to open the door i asked if I can get a piece of pie to go and she replies "well we're closed.." and I responded with. "Oh I thought you guys close later"... she had nothing else to say so I just walked away I don't even know why businesses post their hours on yelp or on their website to be at 9 PM if they're not even gonna follow it.. especially if I'm only asking to cut a piece of pie from what's already there and take it to go when there's still several booths of people eating. read more

What a great new addition to the Stillwater area...our very own Keys Cafe! It's family owned restaurant and very beloved in the twin cities. The menu is extensive and you can order breakfast at anytime. This specific Keys even has a bar which is unique from other Keys I've been to. The staff are friendly and the food comes out FAST! This evening I got the Loon Omelet which has this delicious gluten free mushroom sauce and it was delish. The rest of my party was happy with their meals as well. read more

Our second visit to the new Stillwater location since it's soft open. The full menu has a plethora of options to meet anyone's culinary preferences. Again, loved the decor (ship lap is gorgeous) and photos. Very well done! Had the Rachel, and hubby had the GREAT deal soup/sandwich with a salad AND cookie for $15.99. He had Chicken Salad, Chili and of course an oatmeal raisin cookie. I prefer the sugar cookie with lemon icing! So nice to be able to eat amazing comfort food and not feel guilty about spending too much! Our wait staff was super attentive and amazing. Definitely stop in! When this place first opened our family decided that we had to try it eventually, but unfortunately it was not as good as we hoped. Food: Not good. Their soups were incredibly salty and came with stale bread, the oil used to make the onion rings was straight up rancid, and the sandwich was oily with hardly any meat on it. Service: Our waiter was wacky in the good way and was the only thing we enjoyed about the meal. Ambiance: Its loud and a bit cramped but not much more than your average busy restaurant. Couldn't wait to get over here. My great server Emily took great care of us. They use the same tasty Morningstar coffee and I was given heavy cream on request. Roast beef hash, my old standby was off the menu . My friend loved her cheese omelet and I have to admit it was pretty. A Keys anywhere is always fantastic, but it was especially welcome here. Of course I got the signature piece of house chocolate to go. It's inside a strip mall, yet there is a bathroom inside the restaurant. So I wanted to stop in to see if this restaurant was going to be a great addition yo the Stillwater area and I wasn't disappointed. The food was great, service was especially good considering it was busy and newly opened. Had lunch. Food was not even mediocre. Soup was tasteless. Had the Robert St. Salad with grilled vegetables. Couldn't find the veggies. Maybe a teaspoon of chopped tomatoes, green peppers, onion and 1 broccoli spear. Just lettuce for $15. Waitress never returned to ask how the meal was. We were hungry so we ate it. 2:00 and not busy. The real kicker was our bill was $50 and the manager gave $4 off. This is the second time I have tried. I will never go back. Can't believe they will ever make it. Very poor customer care! read more

First and foremost the quality of the food : Hash browns are not little pick up sticks - there should be some softness and all not burnt. What you order should be on your plate. Secondly the wait staff should come back at sometime to check on your food and not when I'm ready to leave. For some reason this Keyes restaurant just does not match up to the others in the chain. I've tried a number of times wanting to like it. The food is mediocre and expensive with nothing I have had yet that has that special taste of something unique. The various desserts are heavy on flour and tasteless. I tried Keys Cafe and Bar for the first time today, much to the chagrin of the others in my dining party. After eating the food, I can understand why! I had the blackened salmon burger with fries and it was probably the greatest thing to ever touch my tastebuds. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the bun was divine. The fries were crispy and delicious with just a touch of seasoning. I decided to take home a house cake for my boyfriend's birthday and it is the most delectable chocolate cake money can buy. The staff were all friendly and service was outstanding and fast. I honestly regret trying keys cafe because now every other restaurant I go to will never be able to compare.
