The hotel is considered boutique with contemporary decor, friendly staff, and a cafe downstairs. There's a gym and roof deck too. They don't have adapters available for plugs if you're from the US but they do have USB adapters-- at the very least you can charge your device but probably not a laptop. The rooms were clean and quiet. My phone wasn't working though so I had to go downstairs anytime I had a question. I would have liked more options for food in the rooms. You only had chips and popcorn to choose from and a few beverages in the mini fridge. It's close enough to walk to the water - I only wish I had more time here. They arranged for a driver to bring me to the airport which ended up being more economical than taking a taxi. Any my driver was fantastic! His name is Robert. Would recommend staying here!

Unless if you are here for business and need to work from the room, you shouldn't find this inconvenient. Although I've kept using free wifi which they say "low speed", I didn't find excruciatingly painful even when I was streaming(yes, it does buffer occasionally). Price is roughly $100~120 a night for single. Not bad, considering the location, service and size of the room.

And at over $100 less for 3 nights than the Grand Chancellor on Lonsdale.... A whole 4 blocks away, we will take this over there any visit! Unlike the Grand Chancellor, there is free wifi, and the pass key for that is written on the envelope with our room key! And the $20/day for parking is more than reasonable too. Being easy to access was great too at the end of a long trip. Pretty much just followed the highway in made a turn and there we were.... Brilliant! When I commented I learned that most staff have worked there a long time - Nathan's been there 10 years. That's always a good sign when employees are committed and happy. I was welcomed so beautifully although I'd flown in late. Kim made me a Cosmo without fuss. Nathan left reception to make me my second Cosmo and changed my room when he realised the stairs might be an issue with my baggage. The rooms are spotless and spacious 80s size with a corner spa in the bathroom. The housekeeping staff are the best. I felt like a princess - they folded my pjs and made everything sparkle each day, replaced bathroom products and checked with me that all was ok. Linen clean and crisp, good quality and the pillows fresh. I was really impressed. The buildings are interesting, built on a small hill close to the beach, shopping centre and all other amenities. Because it's on a rise, the lower floor is wheelchair friendly although when you look out the balcony it's a first floor view. The restaurant Taggart's has a good menu at reasonable prices and the wine list has some drinkable wines. What a great option if you have time in Frankston.
