One member of our group confirmed on June 30 that all of our reservations were paid in full. When we arrived on July 2, we were told by the general manager, April, that we had not "locked in" our reservations and that one of our adjoining sites had been given to another guest. We disputed this because our reservations had already been paid. Another employee, Ingrid, reviewed our reservation and stated that the site showed as paid. At that point, April ended the discussion and informed us that the adjoining sites were no longer available. As we attempted to explain our documentation, April said we were being disrespectful and called the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office. When the deputy arrived, we explained that we were willing to move our RVs but needed the gate code to maneuver them out of the park. The deputy confirmed that we had not been given the information needed to move and instructed the manager to provide it. Because we had receipts showing our reservations had been paid, we also requested an immediate refund before leaving. The deputy suggested that refunding our payment would be the quickest way to resolve the situation, and the refund was processed. The entire experience was stressful and disappointing, especially after planning our family holiday around adjoining campsites. We expected better communication and customer service, particularly after our reservations had been confirmed and paid. Seeing the Good Sam affiliation displayed at the park made the experience even more disappointing because it did not reflect the level of professionalism we expected.

A gated entrance. We were super grateful to have been escorted to our site as the streets are narrow and turns tight. It was quiet and comfortable. Extremely Unsafe - Major Property Damage…read more I stayed at this RV park recently and experienced a completely unsafe environment. People living adjacent to the park were shooting into the property with a .223, and my vehicle was hit, causing severe damage including the need to replace my transmission cooler. Because of this, I was without my truck for a month, had to tow it out of the park, and also needed to tow my camper out safely. The damage and associated costs ran into the thousands of dollars. The park owners knew about these neighbors firing assault rifles and had built a 20-foot berm--but it clearly did nothing to prevent property damage. Multiple other residents also filed police reports, and some had to run inside out of fear for their lives. Walking around the park was unsafe, which is shocking for a gated community that charges premium rates. While the owners offered to reimburse my rent for the month due to the costs incurred staying there, they claimed that the damage to my truck--even parked in my assigned driveway--was not their responsibility. This is unacceptable given the circumstances and the known risk from adjacent residents. Overall, this park is extremely unsafe, and I cannot recommend it to anyone who values their safety or property.

What a nice group of people! We weren't planning to stay in Lake City.... just passing thru !!…read more But when RV problems popped up and we were directed to Rush Truck Service for repairs. Luckily, Casey Jones RV Park was just down the street. I called late Monday afternoon, spoke to Rose, who was so friendly and accommodating. Explained the RV repair situation and that we didn't know if our stay was going to be 1,2 or 3 nights. She said.."no problem". I asked for 2 nights, not knowing what the future held. They were very flexible & accommodating. Day 3.... AM..... . yeaaaa, RV was fixed. I gave my many "thank you's" and said goodbye. We were checking out !! Well, we got about 4 miles down the road.... engine alerts came back on and we turned the Coach around and headed back to repair shop. I called back to Casey Jones RV and asked for a 3rd night. Again, they said "no problem... and said that they even saved my same spot for us". . Almost like they knew we'd be back !! Now on Day 4.... RV fixed and we got on our way to continue our trip. Besides being very close to the Truck Service Center....... This park is nice, quiet and easy in & out for our 43 ft Coach. Reasonable overnight prices as well. YES..... I would stay here again & recommend to others.

They were so helpful and accommodating and made us feel a part of the community. The place is lovely with great views of the St. Johns River, especially at sunset. Some of the sites are tight and the sewer connections might need an extension in the sewer hose. The showers and restrooms are well appointed and clean. A 5 minute walk takes you to Idle Awhile, a waterfront restaurant next door to the RV park. Excellent food with a great view of the river. If you're looking for big city excitement this is not the place for you but if you're into a beautiful place with peaceful tranquility, check out Port Cove RV Resort and Marina. You won't be disappointed.
