This evening I drove to the KFC located at 323 North Andover Road, Andover, KS 67002. It is a 7+ mile drive -- each direction -- for me to visit that location.  I set foot inside the location at approximately 5:35 PM CDT.  I had some personal documents with me at my table inside the KFC. My plan was to do some brief work with these documents BEFORE ordering my food & dining inside the restaurant. I didn't want to get my hands dirty & sticky while eating only to thereafter handle my paperwork. And I didn't want to have to wash-up after dining in order to touch my paperwork. I've done this sequence - brief paperwork before dining - inside of fast food restaurants with regularity. For instance, I've never had any problems when doing this sequence inside a franchised McDonald's restaurant near my residence in Wichita, KS. I've previously dined inside the Andover, KS KFC on numerous occasions over the past 12 months.  This evening was not my first visit to the Andover, KS KFC.  I received an important incoming phone call while I was inside the Andover KFC. Because the noise was so loud inside the KFC, & I didn't want other patrons to hear my side of the conversation, I stepped outside to partake in the phone call. [It was also a courtesy on my part to others inside the KFC not to force them to listen to half of my phone conversation.] I was visible through the wall of store windows the entire time I was outside. I was located approximately 20' (or less) from the table at which my paperwork resided.  When my phone call ended & I re-entered the restaurant at approximately 5:54 PM CDT, all of my personal paperwork was missing from the table at which I'd been sitting. I went to the front counter. I asked about the whereabouts of my personal papers. In response, I was verbally admonished & berated by an employee of the KFC from the employees' side of the counter. I was admonished & berated for having the audacity to leave my papers on one of his dining room tables while I stepped outside -- as a courtesy to other patrons mind you -- to participate in a brief phone call. I did receive my paperwork back, which apparently had been stashed inside an office. The gent stormed off with apparent indignation after he berated me.  I had to ask another employee to return my writing instruments, which had been stashed in the office as well. [The GM apparently had planned to keep my writing instruments as punishment for what he perceived as my transgression inside of HIS KFC.] The gent that verbally abused me did not introduce himself before launching into his tirade.  I asked the counter-person for a business card or anything else that would identify the store or the store manager. I was told that there were no business cards & there was nothing available with the store's information on it. Apparently, the store employees did not want me to know anything about the store's management or franchisee so as to thwart my ability to provide negative feedback regarding my experience.  Only after I asked, was I provided the abusive employee's name. After being unjustly abused by Richard, the purported GM, I chose not to dine at his KFC. I was not about to reward his employer for his rude behavior by spending my money at his store.  Upon returning home and conducting an online investigation, I don't see any reason to ever dine at any KFC location owned by this particular franchisee. This franchisee's General Manager (at the Andover location) treats customers poorly & disrespectfully. This franchisee - through his employment of an unqualified General Manager at the Andover, KS location - has undermined the KFC brand nationwide! It should be stressed what Richard did to me was done in front of a multitude of his subordinate employees. Given customer service & courtesy standards are set from the top by example, Richard has indoctrinated all of his subordinates to treat KFC customers as poorly & as rudely as he himself treats customers, such as me. Since KFC franchisees don't conspicuously display their identity inside their KFC locations, patrons - such as myself - are unable to easily distinguish one franchisee from some other franchisee. Thus, this particular franchisee has undermined the KFC brand nationwide!   In order to avoid financially rewarding this particular franchisee by spending my money at his franchised KFC locations, I'll have to avoid spending my money at ANY franchisees' KFC locations anywhere nationwide. Because KFC franchisees refuse to conspicuously differentiate or distinguish themselves from one another, they can all suffer due to the employment of a rude & discourteous GM at the Andover KFC.  Since I will never be informed when the employment of Richard (the GM) is terminated, and I can never know whether he goes to work at some other KFC location, I'll never know when it would be appropriate for me to resume spending my money inside KFC locations. read more

June 8th 2023 I just ate my big box meal from Andover KFC, and EVERYTHING was delicious. Original recipe chicken, mash potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, it was all fantastic. This is the best dang KFC around, I dont get the bad reviews and some of the older ones from years back need to be deleted. read more

Tired of going to this place to find out they close the lobby at 8pm. Even though the drive-thru is open until 9pm, don't expect to get what you want with your order. Went there tonight at 7:30pm for a family bucket meal. They were already out of over half of what I wanted, then had the audacity to yell at me through the window that I should have called it in! Seriously!! I was ordering a simple family bucket, not food for a major big party. Don't expect me to visit this location again. read more

Yet another great visit to my local KFC. I ordered a Big Box 3 piece meal, original recipe chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, and I added a side of green beans. Everything was delicious, the chicken was awesome as usual and all of the sides were excellent. The girl at the drive through window was very nice too. Another great job Andover KFC. The bad reviews make no sense to me. Although I normally just use the drive through and do not dine in, this KFC is fantastic for all of my several visits and it has been this way for over a year now. read more

No beams anymore. Mashed potatoes are gross The corn on the Cobb is not sweet. Dont know what kind of corn they use. The chicken itself is decent but not very hot. Probably sat under the heat lamps for way too long. KFC used to be a fast food that was decent and dependable. No so much anymore ! read more

This was really upsetting. My food had mold, I had been holding off ordering from the KFC in Andover in hopes that the first time this happened to me was just change but this is the second time I have ordered a chicken little sand which and it again for the second time has mold! Not only does this gross me out but the fact that this locations not even very busy and they don't double check or take the time to look over the food they are serving. I'm also upset with the fact the drive thru knew they didn't have carbonation for the soda machine and they still served me a Dr Pepper in hopes I wouldn't say anything. I'm surprised at this because I believe the drive through worker was the manager. I def will not be getting food from this location again and I will be reporting it to corporate and hope for some changes in the future. KFC is one of my favorite places to eat and Andover really has slim options already so fingers crossed. read more

Haven't been to a KFC in years but had a hankering for a fried chicken sandwich and they only had one person in the drive thru line. I have to say, I was very impressed. The staff were friendly, professional and quick. The food was prepared and packaged perfectly - hot and crispy fries, hot and crispy sandwich with just the right amount of sauce. This place is so we'll managed that it's phone number on the receipt takes you to a Verizon Wireless number that is unassigned. The number on their Google listing they won't answer. Could the reason be that this KFC is currently causing Col. Sanders to roter till his grave? Our order tonight was so messed up it was like Capt. Chaos put it together. One chicken sandwich was raptured from our bag as it was not there. One Pepsi tasted as it had been drained off a diabetic's knee. One coleslaw was so hot we were afraid it was a petri dish experiment. If you love playing Russian roulette with food posioning and look forward to starting to take Prozac......come on by! So when I first walked in I was excited, the place was clean and not busy! Ready to order and eat me some good ol KFC, which I have not had in almost 2 years. We order our food and after 10 min waiting we ask what is taking so long, apparently they knowingly knew their fryer was broken and still took our order with out telling us. My husband food finally came out as I sat and waited for mine for another 15 minutes. Before I got my food I went up to the counter to cancel my order and stood at the register, I called out for help 4 times. Two people looked right at me and dis-regarded me. One of them went to another girl and said are you going to help our guest? Her answer was yes, but she didn't. I just stood there hungry and completely dissatisfied with the customer service and food. There were so many things they could have done better to help me make a better dinner choice and not leave so dissatisfied. I will not be visiting this KFC ever again. read more

The new Nashville hot chicken was soaked in grease and cheap hot sauce. I hope it was going to be good since the last time I was there last month when 2 cooks started fist fighting in the cook area and I had to break these teenagers up because the manager was a 90 pound female. Andover cops were called then. I wanted to call the cops when I ate this greasy hot chicken due to false advertising. Needless to say that is it with KFC, you have now lowered yourself below Popeyes, and that is hard to do. Everybody's wondering what happened to the guys fighting and throwing metal trays at each other in January. Well the guy not in a greasy KFC uniform was scared when I yelled to knock it off at the top of my lungs and went outside and started kicking the crap out of the other boys car and then left before the Andover cops could get there. I was at the register getting my order fixed when the fight broke out and the manager was saying stop it stop it and then I yelled so loud at those boys (USMC vet) that the female manager literally shiot her already greasy pants, then two young kids started crying in the dinning room and an older lady started having heart palpitations. I thought I was going to have to go back there and spanked them both but the man holler I provided at the register literally stopped the fight with only a few casualties in the dinning room. read more

Don't ask for brown gravy instead of white gravy. This place considers that substitution a side dish and will charge you for a side dish without telling you. When questioned, the counter staff ignores you. No other KFC in Wichita charges for that substitution. No wonder this place has poor reviews .... we won't be back. read more

They need to slow down and make sure they get the orders right.. They gave me potatoes instead of Mac and cheese.

Just because you wear rubber gloves, does it allow you to handle money AND my food! Brain-dead employee looked at me like I was crazy when I tried to explain to him that the idea of the gloves to keep your skin from contacting the food. It does not allow you the superpower of immunity from transferring germs from the cash i just gave you nor the broom handle you were slinging before I came in to order. Thankfully, the only item that you touched was just $1, so it went in the trash. If you want to wear the gloves, which are a major fashion statement in the fast food world, get new ones when you go from handling cash to handling the food. At least this location is better than the one at Woodlawn and Harry. They got three strikes in one night from me. Have not eaten at that location for over five years. Too bad that KFCs are getting too far to drive. This is strike one. read more
