I love a good wing as much as the next guy. Though I don't eat them that often anymore, when I decide to purchase them at KFC, I expect higher quality for the price KFC charges. Tonight I tried a 20 piece KFC hot wing at the Chambersburg location. The KFC nearest to my home in Shippensburg doesn't sell KFC hot wings. That means I have to drive 12 minutes further from my home to get them in Chambersburg. I called before I drove there to speak with a lovely lady named "Dina" who was awesome to put my wings aside until I got there to purchase them. She was such a sweetie. I paid $15.99 for (20) little wingettes that you can get at Costco's or Walmart for ten bucks. They were supposed to be "spicy". Nope! They were luke warm, about as big as my pinky, by the time I got home I had to reheat them. Tastes like crap! The last time I purchase ANYTHING from KFC. I'm done. They're overpriced and have poor quality. Their food costs too much money for what you get and clearly not worth it. My daughter picked up a bucket of chicken and brought home from the chbg KFC. It was not edible from all the grease. I called in to see what they could do and she said she should have brought it back. We live 45 minutes away and I asked if there was anything she could do and she simply said No. This managers name was Kathy .please stay away from this location. im ngl ive never written a review in my LIFE but this kfc has me so tore up. I haven't had kfc in a while because I usually get Popeyes so I said screw it let's try. I spent 40 sum dollars and waiting about 45 minutes for my order! Mind you I ordered ahead of time & when I walked in the store I got no greeting so I stood around for a while and still got no greeting. So I sit at a booth and wait. A couple came in, waited to get their order taken, got their order taken, ATE THEIR MEAL AND LEFT and i still hadn't been spoken to or given my order. Multiple other family's came in and got their food. Two other folks complained about service while in the store and I still have not gotten it. I finally get one of their attention and he apologizes. I wait atleast 10 more minutes finally get my food, doesn't upgrade my drinks, doesn't give me any compensation for my time & there is no straws in my bag. The food smells like old ass grease too. Never ever ever go to this location. I've never had a problem with Popeyes. No compensation or apology from management is ridiculous! Food smells and looks terrible & I wasted so much time standing around. I've worked in customer service my entire life and would never let a customer be treated like that. They can't even get basic order correct , if you go over it 4x's they still give you the wrong items , write it down or send it in on door dash they still can't fill the order correctly ! Every couple of years, I get back to a KFC and am reminded why I don't eat at KFC. During today's visit, I was pleasantly served by a nice young lady at the counter who assembled my meal quickly and efficiently. I brought it back to the table and dug in. The potatoes were super hot and needed time to cool to an eatable temperature. In the meanwhile, the chicken. Decent "original recipe" that wasn't overly battered and was tasty. The chicken underneath was very rubbery and not very good. I didn't enjoy it much. So I'll be back in a few years again. read more

This particular franchise is probably the worst in the business. For a long time there has been a sign on the door "Closed for renovation" yet there is no evidence of any renovation going on. Seldom is an order processed correctly. The prices are way too high for the service here. The person asking the order that other day received the order and then I had to repeat it twice and he still got it wrong. read more

This KFC in Chambersburg, PA was so poor. I ordered two meals with two sides and only received one of the sides, coleslaw! No mashed potatoes with gravy although I paid for it. Tried to contact them by phone and no one picks at all. I drove 15 miles to have my dinner at home. No way I was gonna go back and pick it up. No compensation at all. My advice if you go to this KFC, make sure you check your meal for everything that you paid for. read more

Walked in to get a family order of wings. Simple order: Half extra tasty crispy, half grilled. 8 piece order. Keep in mind I WALKED IN and spoke face to face with the order taker. Received the order and drove home, only to find that the order was WRONG. Drove back to get the right order. I asked the manager (Kathy) if there was a voucher or gift certificate for my troubles of driving the whole way home and returning for food that was purchased and never received. Her response was "you got 4 extra pieces of chicken" Wow Asked for the District Managers name and number. Depending on the day and/or who's working, KFC in Chambersburg ranges from below mediocre to some of the best chicken in the area. This isn't saying much however since PA is hardly a state known for its chicken. However this past Sunday, they were on it. The chicken, potatoes, biscuits all were hot, fresh and delicious. *Attention* this store is selling under cooked meat. Salmonella poisoning. Even after returning my meal the manager was rude an very offensive. To start she said that I had done something to my order. My meal was under cooked.they forgot my biscuits an it was half an half. An when I was getting no where with this manager I asked to talk to her boss an she grabs her name tag an says rudely am in charge of this store. So over an over I asked to speak to a different manager. She was talking an yelling at me as if I had done something. I asked her to replace my meal that I just drove 25mins. For twice an to replace my money. An she said no that she would only replace the meal. An as she did this she decides there is someone else she could call on the phone. So again I repeated that this was more then just a common mistake. An again this manager said to bad to siad. An even asked me how dare me ask for a free 40 Dollar meal how could I expect that. While the Chicken strips are delicious and the staff are usually sweet as can be, they tend to get orders wrong. The buffet is alright, but not really my thing. go for the food, it's worth a stop, buy also plan on stopping in the parking lot to check your order if you go through the drive thru. read more

If I could, I would give a negative review. Crystal (who is a manager) should be fired. She made my family and I totally uncomfortable with her sheer disrespect towards her employees. She screamed at them with customers waiting on food and used unnecessary language while doing so. There is a time and a place to correct employees, and there is a line between abuse and discipline. Crystal clearly abuses the employees that work under her. I am appalled that KFC allows people like this to me managers. Will not be returning to KFC in Chambersburg or any other location if other managers treat their employees like this. read more
