We went here for lunch today. I was concerned it might be overrun with customers because it's a Saturday, but we had no wait at all at 1pm. I ordered the baby back ribs & they were perfect. They fell off the bone & were delicious. The lunch portion included 6 ribs. I ate 3 & took the rest home. I had the steamed broccoli as my side & was very happy with my choice. We went on this past Thursday evening, and we were greeted right away, taken to our seat and provided our menus. The service was friendly and our waiter was awesome. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye and my boyfriend ordered the Longhorn. Both were cooked to perfection, our bread plate was filled up without even asking and not to mention we ordered . The Cheesecake to take back home and omg it was delicious. Restaurant was very clean, and overall experience was an A++. The portions were huge, and we ended up taking the remaining portions of each of our steaks home and had them for 2 extra dinners. So, for the price of our meal, we ended up getting 6 individual dinners (including the take home) for the money we spent for a night out, and it was well worth it. I recommend this place 100%. Only slight suggestion would be to offer a bread knife with the bread plate/butter instead of the huge steak knife. But given the service and food was to perfection, we will definitely be back. The food is great at this longhorn. I love it. This review is more about their hiring process. Which is absolute trash. I applied to Longhorn on Sep 18, even had to do this silly personality assessment which took 10-15 minutes. After two weeks I figured they didn't want to hire me, that's fine. Although not hearing anything back was annoying. Now I got an email from their AI bot, two days ago that I didn't get the job??? Seriously??? Two months later?? Like at that point it's just rude to send any email unless it's to tell me that they did want to hire me. Because obviously I would've gotten the hint they weren't interested. So in conclusion I wouldn't apply to this place. Seems like they rely heavily on automated systems that don't do their job right anyway. I really just made this review to voice my frustration because it felt very dehumanizing. Like there's no way an actual person even looked at my application. I've been coming here at least twice per week lately in between visits to Texas Roadhouse about twice a week as well. Prior, I went to each about once per month. I favor this place because it's less noise and not always freezing cold with the air conditioning like Roadhouse is. And the food is good with a few healthier choices than Roadhouse offers. In the last week I've noticed a big decline in the accuracy of the kitchen staff here. Food comes out just warm, not hot; detailed instructions about things like no bread in French onion soup and no butter on the steak aren't followed, etc. A few days ago it was horrible, today just as bad. Soup again came out warm, not hot and the cheese on top wasn't melting (a clue!), mushrooms came out barely warm, not hot. Seems no one is quality checking the poor work of the cooks. Poor management? Servers don't care? Cooks are new? Cooks don't know what they are supposed to be doing or don't speak English? It's risen to the point that I am posting here in hopes other people are forewarned and maybe, just maybe they go elsewhere like I will be doing. Maybe management will see the drop off and actually manage the kitchen better. Hot food needs to be served hot, not warm! The customer is right, not the cook! This isn't a widget factory where cranking out the product just good enough is acceptable! Managers say how sorry they are but do they make the fixes needed? Doesn't seem like it! Servers also apologize but can't make the changes yet they get the lower tips than they would have otherwise because of the Cooks failures. And yes, I lower the tip because the server should be checking the accuracy of the order they serve before the customer gets it wrong and gets annoyed. Not sure what changed here recently but it's not working well. I doubt "corporate" reads these reviews but they should so they can fox things their management fails to. read more

I have been a big fan of Longhorn Steakhouse for many years. I've dined at a Longhorn in Chantilly, VA, Hagerstown, MD, Mechanicsburg, PA and Chambersburg, PA. The food has always been fantastic. Until July 12, 2025. I took my wife, her son and daughter and the daughter's boyfriend out to dinner at the Chambersburg Longhorn. Everything was going normally until we got our food. Although it can still be called "good", it was all the lowest quality food I've ever seen at a Longhorn. My wife ordered a sirloin steak well done. She was served what looked like a piece of shoeleather. We sent it back and the a$$hole of a cook had the audacity to just send the same steak back out. The manager said, "Oh, we had a miscommnication. We thought you wanted it blacker." My wife is black and took this personally. The cook was an a$$hole for serving that steak in the first place and then sending the same steak back out. The manager was an a$$hole for his stupid racist comment. If I had my way I'd fire the both of them. I will not be back to the chambersburg Longhorn ever again. read more

The food was good, but just good I would say. Personally my steak was tender and had ok flavor. I ordered the flos filet and lobster tail. Filet was good lobster was not. This steak house no longer has prime rib. Our party ordered 1 rare and 3 medium rare rib eye steaks. All were ordered with a garden salad and broccoli with butter on the side. All of the steaks were very rare, the salads were swimming in salad dressing and the broccoli wasn't hot enough to melt the butter. The server was semi attentive. We had to ask for drink refills. I visited Longhorn Steakhouse in Chambersburg PA as I have many times. I was always satisfied with the food there. I usually order the 12 oz ribeye steak. I again ordered it and the reason for two stars is because the steak tasted like it was old. It just didn't taste good. It wasn't flavorful and juicy like in the past. The lack of sizzle and juiciness made me also think that it may have been heated up in the microwave and was left over from a day or two before. I also noticed that they no longer serve a full rack of ribs. You can only get a half rack. The brussel sprouts and baked potato were very good. As LongHorn goes, you know clearly what they have, what they offer and what you're going to get. And that's what I wanted tonight. Service was great, the restaurant was comfortable and my meal was excellent. The Caesar salad had the right amount of dressing and Parmesan. The steak was the right size, seared nicely on the outside and nice medium rare on the inside, as I requested. I have been to this location several times this summer and fall. While yes, I avoid chains if I can ... this restaurant is generally a good place to get a steak if you are on the road. Service was good - friendly and helpful. Food is consistent. It's a solid 3-star steak. All the accoutrements are OK too. I have only eaten steak, baked potatoes, and salads here (in that reverse order). Stop by if you are in Chambersburg and need a steak. You will be happy with the steak. Let me tell you about my most recent and final visit to Longhorn Steakhouse. I ordered the chopped steak. I always state that I want it "extra, extra, extra well done, burn it!" Sounds like a simple order, right? When my food arrived, it looked like it was well done, but the lights were so dim that it was hard to see the internal color of the chopped steak. The first bite was good, and then came the second bite, I could taste the blood. I stood up and headed for the kitchen. I located a server and informed her of my issue. I was furious. The server for our table stated that the kitchen staff working the grill was "new." This statement was made with a big smile on her face. That really set me off. I informed her that it wasn't funny. Her smile quickly disappeared. I stated that "steakhouse" is in the name of the restaurant, and they can't even burn a chopped steak. When someone new is on the grill, someone experienced should be beside them verifying the finished product before it goes out to the diner. The manager was awesome. She came out with my steak. It had char on it. Perfection had finally been reached, even though everyone else in our party had finished eating their meals. I wasn't the only person in our party to have their steak not grilled properly. The other person had their steak grilled twice, and it still was not well done. The steak had red in it. I'm not going to return anytime soon. Longhorn Steakhouse needs to drastically improve their kitchen staff and their serving staff. Went to Longhorn Steakhouse today to celebrate with my family of 8 Easter, unfortunately the experience was very stressful and unpleasant our waiter kept disappearing, we had to seek assistance from another waitress , our food order was not correct when it finally came out. One of the family member did not eat there steak b/c it was not what they ordered, I myself had to send the steak and potato back. How could you not get a Caesar salad order correct, no dressing. Not even once did the manager come out and address our concerns. Thank you longhorn for making our Easter family dinner unpleasant. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Stay away. We eat there at least once a week and anytime my Ribeye steak is tough or not correctly cooked they either refund the meal or prepare me a different steak. Great managers. Some of the wait staff need additional training. Need to teach them to wait to see if the steak is properly done and to always ask if a steak sauce is needed. Some of the wait staff go above and beyond the call of duty. They have been having trouble with their ribs. Normally tender, the last two times I had to send them back.
