They are usually well staffed with friendly folks that seem to actually want to be there most of the time. These are some of the reasons this is the only chain I support. I also love the contemporary Christian music that is usually playing. I can get a good chicken sandwich elsewhere but it is the atmosphere that goes with the chicken sandwich that keeps me coming back.

However, the customer service needs serious improvement. Recently, I went through the drive-thru and got home to find no ketchup or utensils in my bag. When I called to speak with the manager, I explained that this was the second time I've had issues. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager was combative, told me the GM instructed them not to give ketchup unless asked, and then hung up on me when I asked for their name. Good food doesn't make up for poor service. Hanging up on a customer and dismissing feedback is unacceptable. Guthrie's needs to train staff better because this experience makes me think twice about returning.
