Check them out on Facebook. There are instructions for text ahead seating, which I strongly recommend. We did text ahead and were seated as soon as we walked inside. Our waitress, Sandy, was wonderful!!! The other employees were all super nice and they all made sure we were taken care of. Let me apologize now for my lack of pictures with this review. I did get some of their pics from FB to show the inside of the restaurant. We got so busy talking to our waitress and looking at the fun decor inside the restaurant and I failed to take food pics. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were good (crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside). My husband ordered the fried fish and he commented that it was some of the best fried fish he'd ever eaten. The seasoned batter was on point and the fish was not greasy at all. I got the hamburger steak with a loaded baked potato and it was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we came home with a to go box that my 16 year old son devoured when we got home...lol The back of the menu has the history of the restaurant and I enjoyed reading about it and looking at pictures of the original building that were hanging on the walls in the front waiting area. Remember to text ahead. Text your name and how many are in your party. They'll text you back the wait time and ask if you want to be added to the list. Remember it's not a reservation. Text ahead option is only available during hours in which we are open. The paint matches the tables and chairs, with two brown-colored, old-school restaurant booths located in a second room. A western movie plays on the television in the corner, and there are no carryout shelves, no WiFi, no frills. It's not what you come here for. But you will find lots of camo, long beards, and locals engaged in boisterous chatter with heavy southern accents. It's an authentic southern experience. The Saturday morning breakfast rush was just winding down at 8:45 when I walked in and took the only remaining seat. The other 45 spots were taken as the place was packed! It took 30 minutes to get my food, but I hoped it was worth the wait. The loaded hash browns contained a mixture of ham, peppers, onions, and one of my least favorite things - a melted square of despicable American cheese. The potatoes are closer to soggy than crisp which is a cardinal sin in the hash brown game. But the ham was really good. The sausage patties were obviously store bought and very unimpressive, and the biscuits were either picked up at the local grocer or simply underwhelming. The gravy was thick, but the wonderful texture was utterly flavorless. The entire meal was under $10 without the tip, so you get what you pay for. At least it's affordable.

My water and coffee were always full (not usual for this location) and my food was exactly right. The server tending to the table next to mine (I did not catch her name) was incredible with her table. Very sweet and attentive. Another server at one point had walked by my table and offered to refill my barely drank water which I much appreciated as well. I also noticed the manager on the floor interacting with guests. Seems like this location is turning things around for the better!!!!

Dyersburg was to be our last stop for the day as we popped here for dinner along the drive back east. The restaurant is located right off the Interstate and we had no problem with a space in the corner so that we wouldn't be disturbed. Inside, we were greeted and brought to a table in the corner. Our waitress took the order and then... we waited. My wife actually got to the point of "Okay, if it's not here in 5 more minutes then we go." And the dinner arrived right on the time. We had waited 25 minutes from ordering to eating. Not great. The food was good. Baked trout for my wife and the fried turkey dinner for me. Hey, it's Thanksgiving weekend and I'm not yet turkeyed out. Sadly, they did not put the cranberry relish on the plate which was a clear miss. After dinner, we opted to keep driving to the next Cracker Barrel so there would be less driving tomorrow. Thanks for the good meal but the kitchen needs to get things moving a lot quicker!
