We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were good (crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside). My husband ordered the fried fish and he commented that it was some of the best fried fish he'd ever eaten. The seasoned batter was on point and the fish was not greasy at all. I got the hamburger steak with a loaded baked potato and it was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we came home with a to go box that my 16 year old son devoured when we got home...lol The back of the menu has the history of the restaurant and I enjoyed reading about it and looking at pictures of the original building that were hanging on the walls in the front waiting area. But you will find lots of camo, long beards, and locals engaged in boisterous chatter with heavy southern accents. It's an authentic southern experience. It took 30 minutes to get my food, but I hoped it was worth the wait. The loaded hash browns contained a mixture of ham, peppers, onions, and one of my least favorite things - a melted square of despicable American cheese. The potatoes are closer to soggy than crisp which is a cardinal sin in the hash brown game. But the ham was really good. The sausage patties were obviously store bought and very unimpressive, and the biscuits were either picked up at the local grocer or simply underwhelming.
