We waited 20 minutes for our food and no one inside or outside got food and workers started to take breaks and sat around and did nothing

Always pleasant to work with on large orders. The chicken is fresh and the sides are very good.

Been coming in here once every few years for 20 years and I'm sorry to report it's not as good as…read moreit used to be. Actually I think other bbq places may have gotten better but this place has not. Chopped pork was ok but not distinctive. Red Cole slaw was excellent. Sweet potato casserole is a sugar bomb, hiding sweet potato flavor. Jalapeño corn bread was just not good, too cakey, no jalapeños. Fair prices. $7.99 value meal is a good deal. I'm also sad that it was virtually empty on the weekday we visited at noon. It's never been a place for ambiance and is still not. On the hunt for better barbecue place.

I drove around and parked to eat. Upon releasing the knot, sauce was wrong, it was bbq, not Honey mustard, color should have been easy to get right, no utensils, and no napkins. I went back through line and called from behind the car at the window. There is a small door for staff to egress if needed. I called, stated problems and said my location. Man on phone said no problem right on it. No one came out. So Seven minutes later I came to window. They knew nothing of what I was talking about , because I had to explain again. Blank face. Then another associate handed the man a small bag. He just handed it me no looking inside of it. So when I got it, it had sauce utensils and only one napkin. Again this is bbq. I said only one napkin, again blank stare no movement. That's when I actually got mad. Shot a,bird, not proud of, and pulled off. Staff at window sucks, long waits alot if mealing around and nothing going out window timely. This was the first time I had been back since new management over a year ago. Same attitude.

The chicken itself was excellent. It was incredibly juicy, perfectly fried, and had a great crispy coating. My only issue was that the breading felt like it was missing a little something, maybe more seasoning, pepper, or some extra flavor. Growing up with places like Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis and Nashville hot chicken, I think I naturally expect a little more punch from the chicken itself. The sauce they serve is more of a barbecue style sauce, and while it worked, I personally didn't love it enough for it to carry all the flavor. The sides were a mixed bag. The collard greens were really good and definitely one of the highlights. The coleslaw, though, was way too pepper heavy for my taste. Also, the piece of bread that comes with the meal was honestly not worth the calories. I'd rather see them either upgrade the bread or skip it altogether. One unexpected highlight was the pebble ice from the drink machine. Small detail, but it was awesome and definitely appreciated. Overall, I'd come back and try some different sides because the chicken itself is worth returning for. With a little more seasoning or some different sauce options, I could see this being a 5 star spot.

Let me just say that I do not like the wings of any place except this place. While most…read morerestaurants give you the reheated version of a deep fried wing fried in lawn mower oil, this place offers delicious, top quality, fresh wings every time! They were perfectly cooked, fresh and delicious and the order was perfect. It is kind of hard to think that a Korean franchise is beating one of the most American dishes at our own game, but that is the reality. Service was courteous and on time. Their website seems to need some work as I had so issues to place the order while on MS Edge and had to switch to Google Chrome. No biggie, just worth mentioning. They are not cheap, but if food is good and fresh, I prefer to pay for quality.

Well...it ain't your mama's chicken…read more It is Korean style fried chicken, prepared in many different ways, to include just nakedly fried and served without any flavorings or sauces. Next time I will give that Golden Original chicken a try. There are some plates and rice dishes, but the focus is on the chickens. You chose wings or chicken, meaning wings and boneless chicken pieces. I generally do not like sweet and honey coated meats, so had to ask the counter guy what was what. Also, Koreans do like spicy hot foods and can, like the Thais, blow your taste buds to pieces, so go slow to go fast spice-wise. I had a two flame (out of a high of five flames) serving of wings and it was, to me, mild. Best to call in and pick-up. I had to sit for 20 minutes to get my walk-in order, as the kitchen cooks up one batch at a time. Pricey. My 8 wing order was $16 with $1.60 tax = $17.60.
