Several times I've driven to a Krystal that was supposed to be open, only to find out they were closed, seemingly for no reason. My last trip to Birmingham I found one Krystal that said they were open 24 hours, but was closed when I got there, and one other that was actually open 24 hours. I was there around 10 pm and they were out of everything except burgers and fries. The food is good but my advice is to go early before they get bored and close up, or can't provide your favorite for some reason.

Classic Burger and BBQ definitely could use a serious face-lift. But I guess that could be said for the whole neighborhood that Classic Burger and BBQ was in. But I have to add that the service here was extremely friendly and professional and the place was also clean. I went with the burger and French fries combo. It came out pretty quickly. They call your number and you go grab your food. So, one thing that I did notice is that they did not melt my cheese on my cheeseburger. The bun was also a bit too big for the cheeseburger. Still, it was a decent cheeseburger and French fries. I have definitely had better burgers and I definitely had worse, but it is still good to see an old-school burger joint operating when so many look to the fast-food giant names instead of these local places.

My salad was fresh and my one piece of toast that was cut in half was warm when I got home. The two small bags of Ranch salad dressing was insufficient for the size of salad received. Unfortunately I didn't have any other dressing at home so I tried making something with items in my kitchen. That was a fail! Next time I will either stop at Aldi to buy a bottle of salad dressing or pay for extra at the restaurant. Had I parked and went inside, I would have discovered this issue at the restaurant. Lesson learned. The outside of this location was free of trash and clean. There were several people at the window getting orders together. Unfortunately I lost sight of my credit card and it looked like it was laid down on the counter next to the monitor. I saw when one of them picked my card up and gave me it and my receipt. I turned my card off immediately as a precaution. They need to improve their protocol for customer satisfaction. It's going to be a week before my bank can send me a new card. All because I don't know where my card was when below my line of view!

I was super excited about trying this out as I know many years ago my grandfather used to frequent different Hardee's locations. I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed my meal so much. The price wasn't bad at all, the service was really quick (not to mention they took me a little after breakfast time (10:30am) which I highly appreciated it) and the food was fresh! My biscuit was GREAT! It was hot, fresh, and large. I struggled to finish it due to the size, and the large hashbrowns was actually a really good size as well! The Diet Dr Pepper was crispy and bubbly. I struggle finding places who care for their fountain unit, but this was obviously spot on! I look forward to my next meal at this Hardee's.

I was sick the same night and following day. These people don't care about their customers. They care about getting their pay and leaving. I wouldn't ever recommend this location.
