KFC is what it is. In the end, after all the media bashing about fried foods, I find it amusing how much people attack KFC but wait in long lines for a fried chick on bread at Chick-fil-A or Popeyes. KFC is better than both when you get down to chicken. And far better than the few other third-tier chicken joints in town. So why not more stars? The service is prompt, they nearly always have what I want (unlike Popeyes that runs out of food and closes early all the time). What has changed is the sad quality of everything else. The honey packets are no longer honey, it's a honey-flavored sauce and it's terrible. The mashed potatoes are bland and have a fake food storage quality. The corn is wrinkled up, dried out, and shriveled up like it was dehydrated then reconstituted. The green beans are overcooked and tasteless. Literally, every side is bad. The gravy seems similar to its past but watered down. Why KFC? Why Yum Brands? Here's what makes it all worse; go to a KFC in other countries and the quality is far better. Why? It's from the US, couldn't you give a damn a bit and offer your best to the US customers you were built on instead of delivering your worst? If you don't travel overseas you might know that there are KFC's everywhere in the world. And each offers local and regional menu items, spices that go with the region and the fried chicken is far superior to ours. Try the KFC in Barbados, it's great. Try one in Japan, or France, or the UK. They are all far better than ours and that is not just sad, it makes me mad when an American brand and country offers its worst to those it was built upon because they can get away with it. Do better Yum and KFC, do your best, and make Colonel Sanders proud. BTW I met the real Sanders a few times back in the 1960s. He would never have stood for such shoddy use of his brand and reputation. And no it's not the local Webb City location to blame, it's all over the US. We will continue to buy the chicken from time to time but the sides? Forget it. read more

KFC used to be my favorite chicken for years. I realize it is a very challenging business model. Covid hurt their business quite heavily. After Covid they changed so many things they are no longer my favorite. The sizes of their pieces of chicken are much smaller and most pieces contain broken bones. Overall the rest of their food is still the same but I am disappointed in their fried chicken. read more

Looked brand new!! Food was fresh, fast and what you'd expect from a good Popeyes!! A new Whataburger restaurant is open across the street.

Stopped here tonight for some chicken with the wife. Ordered the 8pc bucket 2 sides and 4 biscuits. They Informed us that they were out of breast tell new ones were cooked. So we just asked for all drumsticks. Wish they would of told us that the chicken was old and greasy and that the chicken getter doesn't know how to count he just wings it. So instead of our 8 pc we got 7. What ever happened to taking pride in your job. Doesn't matter what it is. I would of happily waited for fresh chicken if they would of simply told me that the chicken was a old or needed to cooked. read more

This is my second time there in 5 months. The chicken is terrible. I don't see how anyone could give a good review. The chicken is inedible, the staff is nice. I can only imagine they have to be with the crap food the give out. Do not waste your money. No golden brown chicken here. Yesterday, I used the app to order a Tuesday special at the Joplin store for pick up, 8 pieces of dark meat chicken for $10. According to the app, which took three tries to finally take, the order would be ready at 7:05. When I arrived, the order was not in any stage of preparation. I saw that quite a few people were sitting around, all waiting for their orders that should have been ready up to an hour before. I received my order at 8:04, and frankly, the chicken did not look anything like the pictures on the menu board. KFC has lost me as a customer. read more

I went to the KFC store in Webb City MO and had the worst service I've ever had at any fast food store. To begin with, I tried to call and order in advance so the food would be ready when I got there and the girl on the phone told me they were too busy and I would be better off ordering in person. When I got to the restaurant, I ordered extra crispy which they said they were out of and it would be 16 minutes before it was ready. 25 minutes later, I went in to check on it and a clerk said "I just need 3 more minutes!" 12 minutes later, they came out with our food. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have provided my reciept on what we had purched and I have provided the hair found in my green beans. Also the popcorn chicken was old and hard and the biscuits were hard. Then chicken appeared hot but after the hair In my food I was not taking the chance. I called the store about this upset as I should be due to the poor quality of the food ad the hair above all things. The manager stated he just hot in and he could replace the food if we came back up there. I declined and let him know I know they have only been open since 2 and the food looked and tasted as such. Also I was not going to go up there with the same people working and the same food on line to get the same results. He stated he understood but that's what he could do. I feel like if I wanted yo donate 25 dollars I should have my choice on where yo donate and KFC may not be that choice but today I did. And I fed my garbage can as well. I would not recommend and that is sad because everywhere KFC I have been to has been pretty awesome. Sadly I will not return to this location. Also this was my first visit and my last visit. What I would really like is to not be forced to get my money back through food replacement, I just want my money back onto my debit card. As far as the regular menu, it's KFC. I give it 5 stars. But I give the Beyond Chicken less than 1. If u are thinking about trying the Beyond Chicken, DON'T, JUST DON'T. I went through the drive thru, the sec they handed me the bag, the smell was horrendous. Hubby and I started gagging. I had my mind set on trying them so I went ahead and opened up the box. Hubby had to roll down the window for fresh air. I bit into one and it wasn't all that bad. I took a second bite and as I chewed it, it felt slimy. By this time we were both gagging as we were driving down the road. We got to a Casey's gas station and threw them out. The smell is still in my nose 8hrs later. read more

Horrible service. They never give you the complete order, then treat you like shit if you let them know you're missing something you paid for. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. If it's chicken you want, try Charley's Chicken or Granny Shaffer's. read more

KFC has always been a consistent place to get good chicken. I've never been disappointed.

All I can say is terrible. The buns were hard. Really hard, they could double as a hockey puck. The chicken was small with not much breading, which that didn't give it much flavor. It will be awhile before we try it again. read more

Stopped in for supper this evening and was looking forward to the hot steamy buffet to satisfy my hunger... wrong . Its gone.. they took it out and put the drinks where the buffet was. Gone was the pans of hot veggies, Green beans, cabbage, corn, potatoes and gravy. Do Not Buy The Grilled Chicken ! It is a TOTAL Rip Off..... The pieces of Chicken are a third of the size of the other types of chicken (crispy, original). Tonight we drove through Webb City and on the way home went through the Webb City KFC. When we got home we realized that 1 of the meals we ordered wasn't the right one. I called them and Robert answered the phone. I explained what had happened and that I had my receipt. He was able to confirm the order that was mine and said we had ordered the wrong thing that they did nothing wrong. I explained that I had ordered a 3 piece tender meal and then the big box with mashed potatoes and corn. That they had gave me 2 of the chicken tender meals and instead of corn gave me macaroni and cheese. He said if I wanted I could drive all the way back there with one of the 3 piece tender meals and get what I had ordered. We don't live in Webb City and that I live 30 min away and he said it doesn't matter where I live that I have to bring it to them and that was it. It's 7pm and we were planning on getting home and eating dinner but this ruined everything. I have NEVER had such a bad experience. Robert said he was the store manager and argued with me, raised his voice and kept talking over me. I couldn't believe it! I will NEVER be going there again and DO NOT recommend going there Which is sad because we really like going there when we go through town. read more

Was looking forward to having some KFC, Don't get it to often because of it being in Webb City, MO and I am on the south side of Joplin, but today I decided to drive to Webb City and get some chicken, Was a BIG disappointment!! I ordered the 12 tender meal, with two large sides, I wanted a mac and cheese and cold slaw.( I do love their cold slaw) and a small mashed potato and gravy, and a 6 tender with wedges. I get home and find they gave me a mac and cheese and mashed potato and gravy with a small mashed potato and gravy NO cold slaw, the chicken was rubbery and the coating was spicy, I did call and complain to the manager about them not getting my order right, and she put me on the " list" it's bad when you are put on a " list" so they must have a lot of mistakes made.. what is really sad to is pay over $35 and not get what you ordered. my wite and I have tried 4 times inj the past month to eat buffet and/or order drive thru, failed each time to get fed 1st time was drive thru, they had no original cooked with over a hr of open time left, non cooking and was told in a irrated voice "Well if you must have it we will put some in to cook but it will be 15mins". 2nd-4th time last month buffet was out of legs or broken oven REALY common folks if you want business you need management the webb city store is the definition of "brand Killer" but atleast the 3 little gals were having fun read more
