Downtown options weren't much better than the fast food options by the freeway exit, so we are here. There wasn't enough chicken tender, so they gave is some random mishmash: 3 tiny chicken tenders (small as my pinky) and a half cut chicken tenders sandwich. This was awful!!!! Was asked if our order was for here or to go...we said for here...was asked for a name...when our order came out they just kept yelling "tender combo" and it was bagged up. Chicken was not crispy, tenders were rubbery, no dipping sauce offered. Employees seemed to not really care. The guy at the counter was covered in grease... We visited kfc/ taco bell on April 22 for dinner. My wife had KFC and I had taco bell. Neither meal was good. The chicken was so greasy that she had small puddle of oil in the in the box. Come on people, she said she wouldn't be back. The soft taco supremes I ordered had stale hard edges on all 3 tacos. I had to tear it off just to be able to bite them. Needless to say, I won't be be back either. Must be new management running the place. What a shame. This USED to be a good place to eat. sorry to say, no longer. I'm only writing this because the customer service here is such a contrast to what we had experienced a few days prior. Today, this kfc location was slammed with military personnel. They ran out of some stuff. And it was the lunch rush. They kept their cool. They used "we're so sorry," at the right times, and they gave us an ENTIRE. CHOCOLATE. CAKE. FOR. FREE. just because we had to wait 11 minutes for a few extra crispy chicken legs. They were pleasant and kind. Thanks KFC! These folks should get props and a bonus. read more

I had higher expectations for this location since West Branch is a huge stopping point for people traveling up and down I-75. I felt the store should've been more efficient and smoother service. Came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Cashier took our order fine but they forgot my sauce and no honey for the biscuit. I was able to jukey my way up to the front of the line to ask for my sauce but got some shade from people in line. Then I realized I needed honey for my biscuit but not worth it to try and pass people up in line and then ask a worker who is prepping food in the back area. So my biscuit went bare and I was slightly disappointed. Food was fine and got the job done for our lunch craving. Customer service a little underwhelming but nice to have a Taco Bell and KFC combo store based on what food your feeling. read more

On 10 August 2022, I stopped in at about 5pm to order 16 pieces of chicken full meal. When I pulled up to the window I was informed the biscuits would take 15 minutes would I like corn bread. I said I'd wait could I have 3 small soft drinks on the house, she agreed since it was hot waiting and not my fault about the biscuits. When I arrived home and took out the chicken it was over cooked and hard like the warmed it up before giving it to us.. it was the worst chicken I have ever had from that KFC, usually the meals are delicious, terrible waste of $49.00. read more

It's a well-kept restaurant with friendly service. The staff seems to enjoy their jobs, and they interact with the customers well. Having said that, the food really falls short. Not one to be petty, ever at all, or a Karen esp with fast food. But what in gods name is going on in this place the past two years or so?? From what I can tell it's always a management problem. Understaffing, based on the SUPER long wait times and I have seen inside as the few workers they have run around working they do not seem to be lazy workers. Just not enough of them. Poor managing. Lines that are backed up to the street. And lines to the door too inside. People getting restless waiting forever to receive their orders just standing there staring and waiting meanwhile managers are sending workers on breaks in the middle of it and the whole crowd sees the manager skip every single order and specially make food for the workers who went to break skipping a packed restaurant filled with waiting customers and then going right by everyone with their food and sitting at a table and eating right in front of people who have been waiting for close to an hour at this point. Never enough of damn near half the entire menu at the least. The workers have been friendly and apologetic. But it's not an employee to blame for the problems they've had, it isn't an employee job to make sure there's chicken. To make sure there's BARBECUE SAUCE. They didn't have butter for biscuits, not to mention honey of course... "all we have is ranch..." Dude? Lol. One day I went there to find a woman with a tablet and a headset on, standing in the middle of the line in 89 degree weather on a black top burning to death drenched in sweat as some manager had the brilliant idea to use her as a human order board.... People were getting PISSED. It took forever. We all felt bad for this poor woman who is trying to take orders, and payment from each car on a tablet with no menu for us to look at when we did order with her... while having a headset on being spoken to from the inside of the building. She couldn't hear anything we were saying because of the workers inside talking to her while she's trying to speak to us and hear us order AND pay her. Card only of course... lol. What a disaster. People were getting out of their cars to just stretch their legs. People were bringing her bottles of water out of pity. When I got to the woman, finally. I asked if something was wrong with the menu board and she said no they just wanted to try it this way just to try something new. I said listen, people behind me are extremely angry at this point, we've been sitting here waiting way way too long, people come to fast food for the "fast... food" and now they're stuck here, you tried it... it's pretty obviously not working too well for anyone besides the folks inside who can take it super slow to make the food order. And you ma'am, are clearly burnt out literally and literally... tell them the trying something new is a fail and go take yourself a rest. She told them over the headset what I had said as this poor lady was clearly completely overwhelmed, rightfully so. Almost an hour wait that time. Covid isn't to blame for the lack of service. This didn't start with that. This is a lack of initiative from management and poor management choices. Now, inside or drive thru, it's a ridiculous wait time. SEVERAL items are not available because they ALWAYS "ran out" for both Taco Bell and KFC. Important things and the simple things such as taco sauce... in the middle of the day there's none? No chicken?? At a chicken joint? The food is good. What you can get of it anyway, and when you finally can get it. One more time and I will lose my shit and call the big bosses to make complaints about every absolutely ridiculous experience I've had every last time I've been there... and trust im most definitely not the only one who's grown very sick of the poor management in this place going down the shitter. What happened?? Never was this way.... Get it together, make a comeback. For real... one of the more popular fast food spots in this town always has been... but it's sinking fast because people are now questioning if it's worth the bad service or not and figure it's better to go somewhere else and not have to deal with it. Never been the case before now... bad days happen and little things, who cares right. But it's consistently a total joke every time now. I'm disappointed because it's my favorite on the hill. Get your workers in there. Overstaff and send home if not needed. Order extra product as you constantly run out of everything! And consider new management if that can't be done with the current ones.
